After my old hairdryer went out (It lasted 10+ years), I did some research and decided to go with this model. I purchased from Amazon for a good price. I used it for the first time and was amazed about how quickly it dried my hair. I have very thick hair that is just past my shoulders and it always take ages to dry. This literally took just a couple of minutes. My hair does look shinier too, which I am slightly surprised about. Overall, this was a great purchase.Update: Can't say enough about this hairdryer! I love it! I'm getting compliments on my hair, and all I do now is literally blow dry it. No need for me to waste time curling or straightening to give a finished look. My ends are gently curled under without the use of a round brush. I simply dry my hair on medium with my hair flipped over, and use the cool setting when my hair is about 90% dry. Then I brush it with a flat boar bristle brush (with my hair still flipped over) and that's it!I always thought a hairdryer was a hairdryer, but boy I was wrong!

I've had this for 6 years. It is so effing good. Hot hot hot. Nice cool and low speeds. At this point, the cool shot button has fallen off, but there is no change in performance. This will dry, style, refresh or burn hair if you're not careful. You really do need heat protection product if you use the concentrator. I have fine thick hair that is bra strap length, and can dry my hair in 10 min. Loves. Recommended highly.

Count me among those who thought a blow dryer was a blow dryer. But one day while scanning over threads on the hair board, I saw some discussion about what a huge difference a good blow dryer could make in one's styling life, and I was intrigued. I can be the biggest cheapskate ever, but if something is going to give me kick-azz hair, I will gladly hand over my money to test it out, especially if I'm shopping at a retailer with an excellent return policy, like Ulta :) So anywho, I headed home $100 poorer, but with my new turbo dryer to test out, and holy moly, this Speedfreak dryer was so powerful that I blew a light bulb globe out of the fixture over my sink, and blew a picture off the wall behind me. My bathroom looked like a war zone, but my hair was voluminous and shiny and manageable, and completely more awesome than it had ever been before with my cheapy dryer. I've seen the light, and I'm forever converted! It's amazing how much quicker the dry time is, and how much less I need to style with my curling iron now that I can blow in a great base style. If you're on the fence, I'd highly recommend that you give a Rusk dryer a try too.

So I was planning to purchase a Twin Turbo but was too impatient to order it online so I figured I'd head over to Ulta...upon getting there I tried out a few of the blow dryers and this one got extremely hot and the air was fast which is what I need. I have 3c, THICK african american hair that falls down to my butt. Normally, with my old conair, it took about 55 minutes to blow dry my hair straight and I still had about 40 minutes of flat ironing to do. This blowdryer gets my whole head dry, stick straight, and silky in 20 minutes.I was truly amazed. AND, I didn't need to flat iron...I still did because I like an extremely sleek look but if I was pressed for time I wouldn't have. I am in love. It gets EXTREMELY HOT. Like, don't wear any jewelry while using this because it will burn you. And your hair will smoke...I tell myself it's the product but it's probably not...doesn't matter, my hair is stick straight and silky after using this. I purchased it at Ulta for about $119 when you can get it from Amazon for like $70 but it was worth it to me to have it that day. So excited about this blowdryer.

I cannot believe I've never reviewed this hair dryer!!! For some reason, my "karma" in life is to have hair dryers catch fire when I use them. Is this a common problem for long haired gals using cheaper dryers? Anyways, my stylist suggested I buy a better one at the rate I was burning through mine. I picked this up in pink at Winners (like TJ Maxx) for about $50 and it came with a free paddle brush. Its amazing!! I'm still using it 5 years later! As far as speeding up drying time, I feel it does reduce time, especially compared to when I leave it at home and use a hotel dryer. Don't think twice, just buy this!! (For reference, I have fine thin hair that holds a LOT of water for reason. Its currently shoulder length and takes about 7 minutes to dry when its fresh out of the shower and just toweled off)

First off I knew this product would be great product and worth the splurge even if it was a little pricy because, it is a RUSK. A lot of ladies in my life have different models and these babies are quality! I was lucky enough to get mine on sale at Winners,I snatched it up right away! What I didn't expect was how much I would come to love this hairdryer and dare I suggest become emotionally attached to it!I find this dryer quickly dries my hair in at least 1/2 the time, not only is this a lifesaver when you are in a rush (snooze button anyone?) but, it allows for easier styling and less heat related hair damage. The reason it dries faster is partly due to the ions (which also contribute to shinier and healthier hair) and in part to the increased air output flow (which makes for easier volume while blow drying upside down). This product is also extremely durable. I can be a little rough on my stuff sometimes and have dropped it numerous times but, not only is still intact after 4 years of everyday use it still looks and works like new. I think the durability and the larger motor required for the air flow power this delivers are probably the main reasons this product isn't as light as some similar ones. While it is not ''feather light'' I do not find it to be heavy or bulky. Bottom line...-Ionic - ergonomic temperature and air flow settings -cool shot button -reduced drying time-durable -very fairly priced (in terms of higher quality hair dryers) I would buy this again even at full price plus shipping, it's really worth it!

This hairdryer has so much force that it actually tangles up my hair sometimes because its got so much hot air flying out of it. Its beyond amazing. I cut my dry time EASILY in half. I have very thick long hair and it holds a lot of water because I get Yuko straightening done to it so this hairdryer is beyond awesome!

I have very frizzy hair and have tried several things that work, but once I get out into the air-it frizzez back up! My daughter got me a Rusk dryer-EVERYONE notices the difference! I feel normal...PLUS the time I save drying my hair is FANTASTIC!! The ONLY downfall-buying another one once this wears out!!!

I went to my local Ulta store and wanted to get a Sedu blowdryer, however they were out. I asked the sales representative which was the next best blowdryer and she recommended the Rusk Speed Freak. I bought it and was totally unimpressed with it. It was fast to dry, however not as sleek as other hairdryers I have used. The most annoying thing was the power button and heat/cold button locations. It kept turning to cold on me. Overall am not satisfied and will be returning it.

I use this blow dryer every day and I LOVE it. To be honest I had the older version of this and it over heated. I brought it back to Ulta and they exchanged it for the new one NO QUESTIONS ASKED. Considering it is $100+ I would only expect such treatment. Over heating is a problem all blow dryers have no and then so I would not let that stop you (especially if you buy it from Ulta, they exchange no hassle even after a year!!)I have curly, frizzy hair...like no other. I did the whole Alice Delal thing and shaved the side of my head. Realized that had to go, so I did a pixie! I was afraid because of my curly hair, but after finding this gem I was not worried! My hair never frizzes and it stays straight! It looks like I used a straightener, but in fact I only used this. My hair has grown in a lot since I cut my hair short, still very short now, but I do not think I would be able to rock this look without this hair dryer. Thanks rusk!
