I have sensitive, reddened skin prone to mild breakouts and a little dryness. This cleanser is excellent. If you want something like a shower gel/froth cleanser this is THE ONE for you, much better than a milk cleanser where I often have to use a toner or facewasher to remove the residual, as water alone does not remove the product entirely. Not so with this product! It is water soluble and rinses off perfectly with water alone, yet it thoroughly cleans your face. It applies like a creamy mousse but is very gentle and does not strip or dry your face. The packaging is perfect too, being an airtight opaque container so the A, C, E antioxidants won't degrade as a result of exposure to air and light. People 'over complicate' cleansers when they shouldn't as cleansers should clean your face without irritation or stripping the ph balance and this does exactly that at an ok price !

After reading great reviews on this cleanser I was psyched to try it out. I wear EL DW foundation, which is really hard to take off completely.. it's pretty much impossible to take it off without a wash rag or without using my clarisonic mia. The acne treatments I use can be drying on my skin, so i wanted a cleanser that could remove my makeup without irritating my skin. This cleanser seemed perfect but I was turned off from the first time I used it. It is foamy, but the foam quickly dissolves once you begin to massage it in your face.. it doesn't truly lather up like other cleansers I have used ( Shiseido Pureness Cleanser, for example). The bottle seems like a bargain because its about 5oz for 30$, but you have to use so many pumps (4-5) to even clean your face that it doesn't last as long as a typical 5oz cleanser would.. Another thing that I noticed is that it makes my skin burn when I am using it to remove my makeup. If I use it in the morning when I have no make up on, it doesn't burn.. but at night time when I am removing my makeup, it instantly burns my face.. definately not a good thing.
The only reason I give it two lippies is because it did not break me out, as PTR products never do.. but I still wont be repurchasing this cleanser.

Love this cleanser. It foams up real nice but it does not strip the skin dry unlike other foaming cleansers because the foam has a hint of a creamy consistency to it. It is hard to explain but the foam feels moisturizing when you rub it against your hands. The only problem I have with this cleanser is the price! it is about $32 but it does do it's job. I am sure there is a cheaper alternative but until then this cleanser does a great job.

this is my favorite cleanser ever. it removes all my makeup and leaves my face feeling refreshed and super clean. a bottle would last me more than a year because of how little you would use each time, so the high price didn't bother me. unfortunately, it has been discontinued. i have yet to find a cleanser as good as this one.

this product was 35 dollars and a total waste of my money! I will never buy it again. It does the same thing any basic cleanser from the drugstore can do. I have to use it 3 times to get all of my makeup off. Im going to toss it.

I'm a product junkie (aren't we all), so for me to go through a whole bottle of anything is just amazing....and that's just what I did with this. I'm 39 and I have combo acne-prone skin. I'm now at that age where I can't use the same products I did when I was an oilier-skined teen, yet I can't take heavy, creamy cleansers designed for more mature skin either. This is absolutely perfect for me. It removes my makeup effectively, doesn't strip, and rinses clean. No breakouts or eye stinging. Costs way too much, but I will continue to purchase again and again. P.S. Same concept, but this is much better than Philosophy's Take the Day Off!

I have acne-prone, combination skin. This is the best cleanser I have used in my 29 years. It removes all makeup (including mascara) and leaves my skin with a glow. I have not noticed any dryness due to this product. For reference, Neutrogena killed my skin and left my face tighter than plastic wrap stretched over a salad. PTR left only a clean, fresh, soft feeling. The cleanser is expensive at $30 bottle and lasts for 3-6 months, depending on how often you cleanse. You need a small drop to wash the entire face. I recommended this product to my 56-year-old mother who immediately fell in love with the PTR line.

I liked this product despite the negative reviews that it has gotten. Normally, I read the reviews before I purchase, but didn't before buying this product. However, I'm glad that I didn't this time because I could form my own opinion. I feel that most cleansers don't remove all of my makeup and leave my skin with makeup and residue. This cleanser definitely removes all makeup and there is no need for a toner whatsoever. I couldn't believe the glow it gave my skin. It even cleared up a few milia around my eye area, which was amazing for a cleanser. Will update later if anything changes.

The texture and consistency is great, and it cleanses well, but I think it's just a tad too drying for my skin. Like the oher reviewers, I think it's best for oily skin, so I'm going to move on to another brand.

I have oily/combination skin and this was very, very drying. It says it is made for my skin type but you would not think for such an expensive name brand that it would be SO drying. I would not buy this again. If you have incredibly oily skin this may be for you.

I think it's a very gental cleanser. I have combination skin, and this cleanser does not dry my skin out at all. It does take care of the oilies, which is always good. Sephora says:
"Foaming Face Wash is an excellent makeup remover with a "soap and water feel" that leaves no cleanser residue. Good for oily, combination, or normal skin types."
However, I don't think I'd buy this again, because I feel like it's not worth the money.

This is a pretty hard-core cleanser. It really cuts throught oil and grime and is very effective at removing makeup. It foams up a lot and has a lemon-y scent (it has lemon oil at the bottom of the ingredient list). It rinses off clean and with no residue (but seems to take a number of splashes) and doesn't sting my eyes like the Chamomile one did. However it can be drying (and after consistent use made me look older!) so probably wouldn't be a good option for dry skin types or even for oily types like myself in the winter or more than once a day.
