This is one of those "WHY HAVENT I FOUND THIS EARLIER" or "HOW DID I SURVIVE WITHOUT THIS??" product!! Putting on gel eyeliner has never been easier, this has the right about of give, and firmness, the angle is perfect and i just freaking love this! This is not available in singapore, what a bummer! i had to order this from ebay but i LOVE IT SOO MUCH! i was considering 266, but this prob. fits my asian eyelids better. woohoo. HG!

The MAC 210 is my HG eyeliner brush, but I was looking for another brush to make applying winged liner easier. This brush was suggested to me by a MAC artist and it totally works for me. Allows me to apply winged liner with ease and quickness. I don't wear winged liner ever day, but when I choose to I know I can actually do it with this brush. Additionally this brush doesn't shed, washes well, and retains it shape. Great investment.

I must admit: I have 7 MAC brushes, and with time, I've discovered that they get quite scratchy, which is really disappointing for the price. I have figured out that there's better and at the same time cheaper brushes out there. Out of the 7 brushes, I now use only this, sometimes and the big duo-fiber one or one of the blush brushes.
.
I give this 5 because: it fits very well for my needs:
- lining the eyes with a very thin line - very handy if you're not a pro with liner
- not scratchy at all, but still stiff enough
- I do not have to care about shaping the brush after washing
- good shape for my eyes and brows, with powder or gel liner
- it's so soft that I can use it on my waterline
- very simple to use with my not very big eyes
.
Would I buy it again? I answered yes, because I don't regret buying it, but actually, I'm not sure I would buy this again if I lose my current brush - as said: there likely are cheaper alternatives that are just as good, but this is still an excellent brush.
.
This holds its shape better than the 266, so it's better for precise detail work.

This brush and gel e/ls are a match made in heaven. I initially bought the 266, but found that way too scratchy. I've been using gel e/l for ages, but this brush changes everything. The 263 is soft yet firm, making e/l application a breeze. The result is a precise line in one swipe. It is also perfect for winged e/l and firm enough for tightlining. This brush is love.

This is a brilliant brush.
It is ideal for lining with eyeshadow over eyeliner and is also great for applying highlighter to the browbone.
I would repurchase. MAC doesn't often dissapoint.

When I started to use gel liner 3 years ago, the MUA at MAC recommended this brush for me (apparently great for beginners!) It was a little difficult to get used to in the beginning, but now i'm an expert! :) It glides on smoothly and the angled shape of the brush helps u get a dramatic asian look with the long outer 'tail' if u want! I luv it! easy to clean and no fall out so far!

The 266 was a pain to use because I kept poking my eyes with it. This is much softer, less firm (but not flimsy) and thinner. If the266 was to big, the 208 too small, this is the brush you need! Great for shrimp eyes!

I got this brush for €20.50 in Ireland and i'l tell you it is quality for your money.
The brush is synthetic hence its stiff and therefore you can get a precise fine line yet it is gentle on the face especially the eyes, this will not scrape that delicate area.
This brush is an essential part of my kit.I love the fact that its multipurpose.
It fill eyebrows in perfectly and allows you to extend your brows successfully.
Also you can use it to do every kind of eyeliner imaginable but remember as with everything practice makes perfect.
Its also great to use as a lip brush, you do want crisp lines especially when you are working with bright colours like red.
When doing detailed work you need to apply pressure with your brush as you apply product and the last thing you want is the product to get displaced because the bristles of the brush move too much. With this in mind the MAC 263 is superior to the MAC 266 which is a nightmare to work with.
Definitely recommend this :)

I LOVE THIS BRUSH!!! It's perfect for creating cat eyes!! I am so in love with it. So glad I bought it. Better than the 266 as it is thinner....And the size is so perfect.
One of the best investments I've made in the area of make-up...

Great brush for gel liner - allows me to get as close to the lashline as possible, create neat cateyes and place the liner on as smoothly as possible. 1 con is that the brush tends to fray a little (only 3 or 4 hairs) which can sometimes mess up application. Aside from that it's a really nice brush.

Amazing brush, and I would expect no less from MAC. It's super thin, not scratchy, and holds up well to washing. It's really effortless to get a nice line with Fluidlines. Definitely a must-have brush in my stash, I use it a lot and it's been holding up perfectly.

I absolutely love this brush! Within the past few months, I've definitely perfected my brow application, and I feel that this brush has aided in this. It's thin enough to allow for precision, and also large enough to fill in the brow quickly and without hassle. It tends to splay a little bit after each use, but I can fix that by removing the product buildup with brush cleaner, and then placing the brush back into the brush guard. I see this brush lasting me a very long time, but I will definitely re-purchase if I need to!

The 263 is a very thin synthetic angled brush. It's purpose is for creams/gels/liquids etc. The synthetic does not absorb any product and that is why it is ideal for fluidline. I would recommend this brush over a regular eyeliner brush that looks like a paint brush. This brush is very easy to use and creates a great winged look easily because of the angle. It also holds a lot of product on the brush, and is easily wiped off and cleaned. Very soft fiber's too... Would recommend for everyday use and would repurchase if I had to.

This is the perfect brush for fluidlines and other gel liners. I had been using the 266 for it but it was too thick and the hairs were too fluffy. This one is thinner and the bristles feel sleeker. I like the 209 for gel liners too but it takes more time and effort. The 263 is quick and precise, while still allowing you to play with the thickness of the line. This was recommended to me at MAC for filling in my eyebrows but I disagree...I don't think it does that job as well as the 266. 266 for brows, 263 for liner!

How can you not love 263? As all MAC brushes, this is multiuse aswell. Can be used for:
1) Applying and blending brow shadows.
2) Blending brow lines (with 263 noone will be able to tell that those perfectly shaped eye brows have been made with the help of a brow liner)
3) Applying compact and cream eye liners. 263 is the brush that made my trusty 210 eye liner brush unnecessary.
4) Forming and softening ultra fine lines on the lower lash area.
Costs 20Euro and will repurchase if i ever loose it.

To begin with, this brush has softer hairs than the 266.

This 263 brush is made out of soft synthetic hairs.

The 266 brush is made with a blend of synthetic and Ox hairs.......So, the Ox hairs do make the 266 firmer and substantial feeling.
I really really love my 266 a lot better than this one! Though, I do like this one too!

This one just doesn't have that firmness I need for deeper application.

But,I do NEED to POINT OUT that this is "NOT" A FLIMSY BRUSH....... AT ALL!!!!!
The hairs do have structure and some firmness of course!
I guess this is a tad thinner for lines than the 266.....but I don't really see much difference in that aspect.

Imo.... this is not needed if you already have the 266 and enjoy the firmness for control and the size of lines you get with its application....as I do.
The 266 gives me a perfect thin firm line for me every time.
So, now your asking why did I buy this then....... Well, I love MAC...that is it!
IMO,MAC is like the CRAFTSMAN TOOLS of BEAUTY PRODUCT TOOLS! They are built to last and will last forever..... with good care! Honestly!

I will keep this for gently lining shadows under my liners and will be a great back up brush. ;)
In the end, if you feel that the 266 is a bit rough and gives you too thick of a line for your liking..... than this is your brush! Go buy it now! It seems gentler for sensitive eyes and skin.(but the 266 is not harsh either)
