HG face cleanser. I have sensitive skin, oily t-zone and have tried all the cleansers. This one gets my skin really clean and removes all makeup, even waterproof mascara. Its expensive ($35) but a little goes a long way.I like that its not a pump, easy to travel with. Besides, its pink and smells pretty- what girl doesn't like that?

I thought this was a great cleanser for me. Non-irritating, not smelly, clear & foamy, almost perfect! But….became a bit too drying after I started my Retin/Obagi Blender treatment plan, so I switched over to the Gentle Cleaner for the time being, may switch back once I stop the treatment & my skin goes back to not having the flakies constantly. continued >>

I got this for free at my work, and it's nothing to write home about. Just a regular, kind of soapy everyday cleanser. It's pink, has a nice gel consistency, and barely foams, although it does foam a bit when I use it with my Clarisonic mia. I feel this is a little drying, and is not great for removing makeup. Nice to have around, but not something I would ever purchase.

My go to cleanser. Cleans without stripping, removes all my makeup (even waterproof mascara!) and has a nice, fresh scent. Pricey, but it is the best facial cleanser I have ever used. A little goes a long way--I only need to purchase about twice a year. I am forever a fan.

I have been using this and only this to wash my face for about 2 years now. I used to have horrible skin and now I hardly get breakouts (not accrediting that to this wash alone). I use the Foaming Gel with my Clarisonic and get a wonderful lather. If you have dry skin, this might be too much to use twice a day. Just at night to clear your pores and get a good clean.

BTW-- I also use this facewash to wash my makeup brushes. Thats how I can tell it really gets my skin clean because it removes things from my brushes that I dont even see!

It's expensive and hard to find. I had to purchase it at a doctor's office. The cleanser is okay, but nothing special. It did not improve my skin, but to be fair, my skin is in pretty good condition. My skin did not feel dry not greasy after using this so no complaints there. It's an okay cleanser, but in my opinion, not worth the money. I like Clinique liquid cleansers just as well and those are half the price of the Obagi cleanser.

I use this cleanser in the morning and then I use Jan Marini bioglycolic cleanser in the evening. My acne is under control and my face has never looked better! I love the scent and a little goes a really long way! I use this and the toner and they are great products. I would def recommen them, I was getting them from my dermatologist and then she moved so now I buy them from agelessapple.com. They have a doctor and nurse practioner in the clinic so all of my questions were answered prior to my purchase. Plus I got free shipping!

If I didn't have to buy this for the skincare system, I wouldn't. The other cleanser is a lot better. This one smells better and foams up, but it doesn't really help slough off the skin like the other one. Oh, and it's expensive.

I like this cleanser. Transparent pink color that smells good. Does not lather but cleans well. 'Though it leaves my skin soft, I still feel that it is stripping too much oil as my skin looks lifeless after washing. Does not really peel off my skin but makes it uncomfortable. Obagi website says that this cleanser can handle MU, but I still prefer to remove my MU with cleansing milk as I also use SPF/primer under it. Now that I switched back to Cetaphil liquid cleanser, my face acquires that satiny dewy look back and small bumps under the skin are gone too.

A good face wash for combination skin! I used it only in the morning it control oil production. My face feel fresh the whole day.... The reason I dont use it at night is that i feel it too drying so i use a creamy wash ( not obagi brand)...i dont use the entire line i feel it is too harsh for my delicate skin...a recommended face wash for people who are oily/combination skin...a little drop goes a long way, using too much dries the skin...

I'm very impressed with this. It takes off makeup, even waterproof mascara, very well. It does leave my skin dry, but I moisturize immediately afterward so it's fine. I would definitely get this again.

Excellent cleanser, one of the best. Smells nice, clean, removes makeup, dirt and grime, and leaves the skin feeling clean. This is definitely for oily to combo skin, as it can make your skin feel tight and a little dry afterward, especially if using the entire Obagi system. I used this for years, then strayed, and am now back. It's worth the steep price as you use only a little. I've used mine for over 2 months, and it's not even halfway used. Highly recommend if looking for a great cleanser.

Several times I've bought the entire Obagi regimen, this cleanser among the set. It's a nice cleanser, and I actually still have some left from my last purchase, but it's not something to write home about. Then it occurred to me I didn't have to buy the entire Obagi set, just pieces I can't find anywhere else (like 4% hydroquinone). So now I use select Obagi products in the wintertime along with Avage, but I feel I don't need this particular cleanser again. It's nice and gentle, but so are a lot of other cleansers. Don't much like the bottle either. Won't repurchase.

I've been using the Obagi Foaming Gel since high school...its my HG face wash. Although it is a bit pricey, one bottle lasts for months! ...I use less than a dime sized amount each time I wash my face. It deep cleanses everything! ..even eye make up!

I have used this cleanser for the last six months or so as part of the Obagi regimen. I prefer to use a separate makeup remover for the days when I'm wearing anything more than powder, but on light/no-makeup days, this cleanser does do a good job of cleaning my combo/oily skin without leaving it feeling tight or stripped. This cleanser is a bit expensive, but I only need about a dime-sized amount per wash, so my bottle has lasted about six months. I would repurchase, though I'm too much of a product junkie for this to be a HG for me.

This is as bad as OTC face washes. Overly drying. Has a very chemical smell. Useless. Over priced. JUNK.

This is my HG cleanser. I used the whole Obagi line for about 6 months, but all the products were just too heavy for my skin and it always looked oily. The cleanser, however, is awesome! I have problem skin - older but still breaks out, large pores etc... (YUKKY skin basically) At night I use it with a brush to get every trace of makeup and it leaves my skin super clean and smooth. Obagi Foaming Gel is the only cleanser I have ever tried in my whole life that I love, the only other one I've ever liked is Proactive's.

I hate to bring down the score here, but this truly turned my skin into an ugly mess. I have super oily, acne-prone, sensitive skin. This cleansed well, removed all makeup, but it was sooooo overdrying that I ended of with cystic acne and very bad dry patches. I can't believe how bad it was, when my skin was in decent shape! My mother bought this for me since this is what she uses and she has beautiful skin (that's not acne-prone). Since I've given it back to her, my skin has returned to normal with my regular routine.

I love this cleanser, sort of smells like cherry syrup. Cleans really thoroughly and leaves no trace of makeup or dirt, just a very effective cleanser. However, it is not my HG, as I have so many other cleansers that cost much less and cleanse my skin just as well. That said, this is a very decent product and is one of my fave products in the Obagi line, much better than the toner.
