Always on the lookout to find a cheaper alternative to my Kiehl's CDC, I gave this a try thinking it might be similar. It feels similar when you put it on - it's got a nice thick consistency, but it does not moisturize my skin nearly as well as the Kiehl's does. Also, this lotion is perfumed, heavily, in my opinion. It's not an offensive odor, just flowery, but it's too strong for me. I don't think this is any better than a lot of drugstore lotions, and certainly not if you want something neutral-smelling that won't interfere with your perfume.

THIS IS AMAZING! MY HG MOISTURIZER! I love how perfect it is for my dry arms and legs. It makes them feel soft, but not the gooey kind of sticky gross where you don't dare to put your bedsheets on your skin you know? It is incredibly moisturizing and sinks into your skin quite fast, but leaves a layer of moisture that will stay overnight. No annoying strong fragrances that will irritate your skin or nose. It's perfect. Promising ingredients too.

This is a decent thick body lotion..... however it does not last past an hour. I have super oily skin, but dry surface cracks/ashy legs. I did a trial run with this lotion and my trusty Curel Ultra Healing Lotion Intensive formula for 3 days. I put the MB on one leg (same leg each time) and the Curel on the other. The MB one is thicker and the Curel is more emollient. After one hour I can see the tiny spots where my skin has lifted up from shaving with the Mario Badescu lotion (not with the Curel). After 3 hours (maybe sooner -but this is when I checked) My leg with the Mario Badescu lotion had surface cracks back and was looking ashy again. The Curel one was still looking moist and shiny (healthy). I also shaved with regular soap once before doing my comparison (super dry shaving with regular soap). Curel Ultra Healing Lotion works MUCH better than this stuff. I may add extra virgin olive oil to my formula of Curel lotion to make it extra extra moisturizing.
The good part about this lotion is that it seems like it would not make my already acne prone back break out.

WOW! This is an amazing moisturizer! It's the best I've tried and definitely beats any supermarket/big box moisturizer hands down. It is thick & emollient and smells lovely. Put it on at night and wake up to truly silky skin. SUPER soft. Because my torso is acne prone, I only use on arms/legs for now because of how intensive it is, but down the road who knows? Will update with any future results. Highly recommended! continued >>

I got this as a sample and I like it. It's only a little oily but it eventually is absorbed. It makes your skin soft and does moisturize. Like others have stated the smell is unisex and isn't overpowering, but I found that I couldn't wear perfume with the lotion on. Of the MB body lotions my favorite is still the "Formula 200", but the Olive body lotion is a nice choice if you don't wear perfume.

Mario Badescu's Super Rich Olive Body Lotion is some really amazing stuff. It's the exact type of lotion that I prefer...It's deeply moisturizing and leaves skin feeling smooth yet it's not too greasy or too heavy. As other reviewers have mentioned, the fragrance is very light, pleasantly unisex and it doesn't conflict with your perfume of choice. Big fan of this stuff-I would certainly repurchase.

I love this lotion. It's incredibly moisturizing and has a really fresh scent. It has a great consistency - rich, but not greasy, plus it soaks in quickly. I use it everywhere and it keeps my skin soft and supple. Wonderful stuff at a great price!

I like this lotion. It is sorta thick but surprisingly non-greasy and absorbs easily into my skin. It also has a pleasant neutral unisex scent. I plan on using this in the summertime after hitting the beach.
