I am in love with this eye shadow duo from clinique! I have a few thing from clinique, but I have to say this is one of my favorites. Stays on nicely, pigmented, and for any skin types! Love!

When i bought this is was just a meh colour buti rexcently dug it out and used the lighter shade as acontour when i have paired down eyes and it is really gorgeous.
Im not a bigfan of clinique generally especiallythe paint stripper skincare line but i do think their eyeshadowsdo have a nicetexture, have a good finish and blendability and are quite good value for money.
The double ended brush where one side is foam and the other is a brush is quite decentfor on the go and generally brushes that are included are quite crap.
The dark brown colour is nice too and can be used for contouring or creating a smoky eye.

Excellent quality eyeshadow, a perfect shade for daytime wear during the winter. I actually prefer the consistency and application of these Clinique duos to that of the shadows in the Urban Decay Naked palette. With Coffee Shop and other Clinique shadows I have tried I can just lightly stroke the shadow and gently swipe it on my lid with great color payoff. As all shadows do for me though, these crease so i wear a primer below them.

These are HG browns for me. Coffee Shop contains a darker rich chocolaty brown paired with a lighter bronze brown with shimmer. They go together perfectly! For a natural look, I line my top lash line with the dark brown and then blend the lighter shade allover. Makes my green eyes pop, but isn't to drastic! If I add a little more, it makes a great smoky eye as well. I will always repurchase this when I run out. One of my faves :)

I got this duo as a GWP. I used to be a Clinique enthusiast, I had so much from them. Coffee Shop includes a nude-tan color for the lid and then a deep, shimmery brown for liner, crease, pretty much anything. The dark brown's pigmentation is rich while the lid's is a bit lesser quality. I think this a great investment for a beginner in makeup. They're good neutrals, but definitely can be amped up for a night out. I personally wouldn't purchase again for myself, but for a gift I definitely would. It's great for people just starting out or fans of Clinique.

The colors in this duo are great for everyday wear!
The lighter shade is a gorgeous all over lid color and the darker one would be great as a liner. I would definitely repurchase. The only problem is that they aren't very pigmented, but If you use it over UDPP or Too Faced Shadow Insurance then it's very pigmented.

I received this as a present, and I love it!! The colours go on so smoothly (especially under UDPP) and are highly pigmented, plus I have found no creasing, AND they last for ages. As I have fairly fair skin I don't like gold/bronze colours that are too glittery, soI wear the taupe/bronze colour on its own as it shows up with a lovely shimmer that's not too over the top for the daytime. However, you can also build your coverage of this without it looking cakey for a more dramatic look. Both colours together work really well for a smokey eye too. My only gripe would be that the eyeshadow pans are not equally sized, so I ended up using up the darker shader much more quickly (but that might have been because it was so great, I kept using it for most smokey looks I did, as well as applying it wet as a liner....I got a bit over enthusiastic, what can I say...). The packaging is definitely sturdy compared to other brands, plus it has a decent mirror inside which is handy for travel. I got this over a year ago and there's still loads of the light colour left, so I don't think I need to repurchase yet, but I definitely will.

I got this in a swap, and I would definitely purchase it when I use it up. These colors are much more interesting than your usual neutrals. The lighter shade is a fairly deep taupe with shimmer. (Think MAC Naked Lunch that's browner rather than pinker.) The dark shade is a rich, deep chocolate with shimmer. This is a great way to do a smokey eye for daytime.

Fabulous duo! This neutral duo includes a dark brown with fine, almost unnoticeable shimmer for the crease color and a smooth shimmery cream color for the lid. I had been searching high and low for a rich, super-dark brown with NO RED UNDERTONES for the longest time and this fit the bill perfectly. It's even dark enough to use wet as a liner. I think I might even be able to get away with using it as a brow powder because the shimmer doesn't show up very well on the lid (this doesn't bother me since I wasn't looking for shimmer anyway).
As per usual with the Clinique colour surge duos, these shadows are smooth and well-pigmented, blend nicely, and (over UDPP of course) do not crease. This duo can be used lightly for a nice neutral day look or you can really pile on the dark brown for a super-sexy brown smokey eye. The packaging is beautifully sleek and the price tag isn't bad, either. I will repurchase this and other colors :)

This eyeshadow is gorgeous! I have been looking for that perfect shadow forever, something quick and easy, yet really pretty. I like to look natural but better and this shade is perfect. This works for everyday casual, or for a sexy look on nights out. I am just getting back into Clinique and this along with the Almost Powder makeup and lash power mascara are my new favorites. I used to use Bare Escentuals products and was sick of the time and mess with them. I am a working mom and this fits perfectly into a quick morning routine.

This is a great duo. Used lightly, it's great for daytime at the office (but a little more exciting than your usual neutrals). With a heavier hand this duo can create really smokey dramatic eyes.

I just bought this eyeshadow combination from Clinique a few days ago. Using brushes, I was able to create the most amazing smoky eye look. I recieved so many compliments about how great my eyes looked. I can't wait to wear it out again. Play around with the two shades of brown and you'll easily create seductive and dramatic looks.

I love these duos, especially since Clinique reformulated their shadows with more color feedback. This particular duo is essential! Perfect neutrals for the office or for a basic look.

This duo is the perfect everyday e/s. The lighter shade is a warm, shimmery fleshtoned taupe on me (almost pulls a little pinkish). The darker color is smoky chocolate color. Staying power is decent and this is very pigmented. If I were to ever to totally pare down my collection, this is one I would keep. For reference, I am warm toned, brown eyes, NC 30. This is one of the few Clinique e/s I like. I have found most to be overly shimmery or just not flattering one me but this is one is exceptional.

got this in a gwp quad along with sugar sugar and disco pink. I really like this duo. the dark brown color is great as a liner and in the crease and the beige color is great all over. I also use the lighter color as a base under other colors. Very creamy and blendable.

Love this shadow, the colour is subtle yet super sexy and very blendable. I love the lighter shade the best. It's a very glowy golden shade but not cheaply shimmery. You know how some shadows can get too shimmery and it looks tacky and cheap. This one does not do that, the shimmer is very fine and subtle. Love it. The only gripe about this product is that it smudges when i tear up :(, other then that, the colour is gorgeous.

Absolutely gorgeous colors! For reference, I am a brunnette, brown eyes, fair yellow/slightly olive skin. I have been using Mac Mulch and Shroom, but for some odd reason Mulch turns plum and Shroom is kind of too cool for my skin tone. But, these wonderful duo from Clinique is just perfect! The light shade looks like a tan color on my lids, exaclty was a was looking for, not a yellow, pink, orange or white. The dark brown is amazing, can be use lightly for daytime and stronger for night time, plus doubles as a liner. I detect some gold on both shades, probably why it works better for me than Mac. I find these duo to be more sophisticated and sexy than the Mac eyeshadows. I also wear this duo with Clinique Quickliner Black/Browm ( read my review on this liner), mascara, bronzing powder as blush and a caramel color gloss.

Every time clinique had a GWP in the past, this was always something I would consider getting but then told myself, "Oh, don't get it. You have SO many browns already... How could this one be different..."
Well, I FINALLY caved and got this one as well as Buttermilk (another color curge, matte?, pale off white creamy shade... read my review on this as well! I LOVE it)...
Back to this lovely duo. One side is a neutral (on me at least... but i can see where it'd pull warm on some) glowy bronzey/wet sandy/tan w/ the slightest hint of shimmer (but not glitter). On my eyes, it's a sandy bronze that is just enough to give my mac NC 40 lids some color and a nice finish.
The darker shade (also smaller than the tan/bronzey shade) is a deeper brown w/ hints of a golden copper shimmer. It could make a phenomenal liner, but I use it as a crease shade and to darken the sandy wash the other color gives me.
They blend like a dream. The texture is soft and smooth, and together, they give me a very simple yet sophisticated and slightly sexy brown eye.
Would I buy this again? Absolutely! I regret not buying this earlier. I can see it becoming my "go to" eye shadow whenever I'm at a loss for what to wear....
Now, go read the buttermilk eye shadow review! It's another must have from Clinique if you ask me ;)... continued >>

This is a beautiful, complimentary duo of eyeshadows but they can also be worn separately. The lighter color is a shimmery bronzey, taupey color that is great on the lids. It makes my brown eyes pop. But my favorite part is the dark brown color for a liner - it lasts all day and has just the tiniest bit of shimmer. I use it all the time! The price is great and the quality is also very nice. I would definitely buy again.
