I had previously been sold the wrong eye product by an Origins SA (was wanting something hydrating and I was given something that actually can dry your skin out!) and so went back to try again and was sold this as something that will moisturise my eye area. After using this for 6-8 weeks I have not noticed any difference in the hydration around my eyes, I think this is a more oil based and nourishing product than something truly hydrating - however I had made this clear to the Origins SA when going to purchase and was recommended this (Strike 2! I had initially gone to them asking about Eye Doctor but was told it would be far too rich for me...). Anyway, I began reading the product reviews on here after having bought this (silly I know) and noticed comments about this irritating people's eyes. I often get irritated eyes that sting and water as I have very dry eyes as diagnosed by my optometrist. I then realised that this product was contributing to this as my eyes were always stinging when using this! I have also noted the comments that this is not dermatologist/opthalmologist tested which does concern me. So, I guess I have learned several lessons from this - read reviews BEFORE buying products and don't rely on SA recommendations alone, and Origins does not seem to be a good fit for me in terms of products and SA's knowledge of their range. And the examples above are not the first time I've had issues with being recommended products inappropriately by Origins SA's. Very disappointing.

O I do love this eye cream! I didn't encounter any problem like itchy or red eye or any kinds of irritation, it works just perfect on me. I used to have heavy eye pouch after stay late, but right now I get rid of them. Even I stay like 2 AM and get up at 7 AM, i no longer had the heavy eye pouch after I use it, NO MORE. My eyes are no puffy at all. It is really rich and moisture, a littble bit sick, but I like sick in the night so that the next morning when I cleaned my face I feel being moistured enough. But I agree that it does not blemish black eyes. I don't think any skin care can get rid of black eyes....always go get more sleep.
so sad they didn't continue this one( at least I couldn't find in their online store), I am now have to looking for something else.

I certainly wouldn't buy this product again. It did nothing for my fine lines or dark circles, or anything to improve under eye imperfections. However, I haven't found any other products that does it either!
Also, this is not for the sensitive eyes! Just a tiny portion of this too close to the eye, and oh, the pain! You cannot really use this cream for day wear (which it's not intended to, but I hate products you can only use at certain hrs a day) because it's very oily.
To be fair, it did do a decent job at hydrating my eye area. The price is reasonable and I like the fact that Origins only uses natural stuff in their product.
Soo three lippies for that.

Do not EVER buy this product!! Oh my goodness, I WISH I would have found the reviews on this site before I walked into Origins and bought this awful eye cream. =( I noticed a few days after using it that my eyes were VERY red, painful, watery, puffy and extremely sensitive to any type of light. I remember one time I went to the dentist, and she had to lay a thick towel on my eyes to shield them from the light, and tears were still streaming down my face. =(
I had scratched my cornea a few months ago, and decided to go back to the eye doctor, thinking that I might have injured it again. The eye doctor told me that my cornea was completely healed, but that she could see my eye covered with a ton of oils and told me to discontinue using my eye cream. I thought that maybe I had just gotten it too close to my eye and it creeped in, so despite my doctors orders, I tried it again that night just along the orbital bone. Well to my dismay, a few hours after using it, I had all of the same symptoms. =(
I really wanted to love this eye cream, but it was just horrible. I have tried many eye creams (Estee Lauder, Lancome, Prescriptives, Clinique etc) and NONE of them have done this to me! STAY AWAY FROM THIS EYE CREAM!!!

I first got this product as a sample. I wanted an extra moisturizing night eye cream to go over my regular eye cream (Murad Resurgence Eye Cream) which was not moisturizing enough for at night. I am glad I got the sample given some of the reviews here that talk about sensitivity to the cream and bad reactions. I really like the texture; very thick, smooth, and ultra lux. It does keep the eye area moist through-out the night (unless you sleep on you stomach) and it smells wonderful. Although I do have sensitive eyes, I did not have any negative reaction so I did purchase the product. I think it is a great basic moisturizer if you have very dry skin under your eyes. I do not think that this does much else other then moisturize but that is all I was looking for. I am addicted to the feel and smell of this yummy cream. I may not always need it when my skin is less dry, but I love having it as an option. I definitely would recommend getting a sample prior to trying if you are concerned about any reaction.

I ordered this product about a month ago when Origins had Eye Doctor (which I LOVE) on backorder. Being that I do my skincare ritual at night anyway I thought that this would be a good eye cream to try.
I really like the feel of this cream. It is super moisturizing, but not greasy & has a nice, light botanical scent.... reminds me of the "Aveda" smell.
I do suffer from under eye puffiness & a hint of dark circles though & have yet to see a difference in those areas.
SEVERAL MONTH EDIT*****
I still enjoy this cream as far as it's moisturizing effects, however it has done nothing to reduce my dark circles, puffiness or fine lines. continued >>

I tried this about 6 or 7 years ago and developed some milia so I stopped using it. It was really very moisturizing, though so I was disappointed.
Recently I was in an Origins store and asked the salesgirl about it. She said that the milia was probably an indication that I didn't need that much moisture in that area yet. She gave me a sample that would last about 2 weeks. I was hesitant to try it again but I'd been noticing my undereye area getting drier and more crepey looking so I gave it a shot.
So the cons were that I did have a little redness and a few bumps that were not milia. These went away every morning when I washed it off. This irritation lessened towards the end of the 2 weeks I used the product.
The pros outweighed the cons by far. The fine lines and crepiness improved dramatically over the two weeks. The looked so much softer and plumped up. I was very pleased with the results. Unfortunately, there is no Origins store front in my area so I'd have to order online if I wanted to repurchase. I am slightly bothered that I had some redness and irritation so I'm still weighing my options before I actually place an order.
I just wanted to add that experiences like this are why I disagree with the belief that some people in the skin care industry have that eye creams aren't necessary. It made a huge difference for me and I will continue to use eye creams.

A creamy and rich eye cream with a lovely scent. I tried this when Kiehl's Abyssine eye cream was out of stock -- it's worked well for me as a basic eye area moisturizer. I use it over my retinol products at night and have had no problems with sensitivity, redness, etc. I would definitely purchase again.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!!
i use other origins products and i love the other ones, but not this one. My eyes react very badly to this eyecream. The next morning, my eyes were bloodshot red, very dry, sensitive to light and stinging!!! I did not notice it was the eyecream before, i thought it was my contacts that made my eyes red and sensitive. I stopped using this eye cream for awhile and yesterday i put it on since i wanted sth more moisturizing. Then, today, my eyes are stinging and very red!!

Most eyecreams are rich and this is one of them. Good for days when my skin feels dry. However, very rich and I only use a small amount (tear drop size) each time cos' I worry about getting oil clots. I still have half a tub of it left as I mostly use eye gel during the day and only reserve this for night. I think I can find alternatives at a cheaper price so I probably wouldn't buy this again once I'm done with it.

After seeing a few reviews on youtube, I rushed out to buy it. $30 is a bit expensive, but it was for my eyes, so I thought it was worth it. I was sadly mistaken... This cream did nothing for me. I discontinued using it after a months, when I didn't see any changes. Like the product name, this cream is HIGHLY POTENT. I dab on a little at night, and when I wake up in the morning, my eyes feel puffy, like I didn't get a good nights sleep. The packaging is also unsanitary. If it came with a pump, (like the Dr. Weil eye serum) this would have gotten a extra lippie.

I really like this product. It hasn't bothered my eyes - like most eye creams, it did take a little getting used to, but it's been great ever since. It should ONLY be used at night (hence the product name), just because it's really rich. My under-eye area looks really great and virtually wrinkle-free, so this product must be doing something right for me

I have dark circles, puffiness, and fine lines. When I look in the mirror that is all I see and since I have been using this product- my dark circles and puffiness had been cut in half! I LOVE the smell and it really helps me fall asleep. My eyes always wake up refreshed and happy! I cant imagine not using this. Its heavy because its supposed to be! It has vitamins B,E,A,C,H that deliver anti-oxidants while you sleep. I LOVE IT!

I wish I had read the reviews before I tried a sample of this product. I woke with not being able to see and my eyes stinging. Read the reviews on other websites also. Others have had major issues with this product. I will never buy again.

I really wanted to love this. I have been on the search for a good eye cream. I was pretty impressed with all the ingredients they talk about being in it. But I have to say it did absolutely NOTHING! I am so glad I got a sample before purchasing. It moisturized, quite heavily (greasy), but did nothing about dark circles, puffiness, or lines. I might as well have been using crisco!

This product was by far the worst eye/skin care item that I have ever tried. I gently patted the cream under my eyes one night. The next morning, I woke up with one of my eyes burning, tearing, bright red, and swollen. My eye was also sensitive to light. I was unable to even drive for a day and a half, could not watch TV because the light was too bright, and had to wear sunglasses in a restaurant because I looked like a drug addict and could not bear to look at the light. I then slept 13 hours that night to try to make my eye feel better. After I woke up, my eye no longer hurt but continued to be extremely sensitive to the light (to the point where it was unsafe for me to drive my car). I spent 5.5 hours at the urgent care center near my home waiting to be seen. This stuff is horrendous! Don't waste your time, money, or put yourself through that kind of misery!!!

i found this product more greasy than hydrating.
also, like some other reviewers, my eyes react very badly.
i thought maybe i'd got the product in my eyes and have tried 1) applying it further from the rims and 2) in miniscule amounts and 3) in the a.m. to see if sleeping somehow helps the product find its way into my eyes- all to no avail. same every time- reddening of the whites of the eyes and sore 'crying for hours and wiping with cheap rough tissues' under-eye skin!
i did like tomlina, and utilised the bf as a guinea pig- his eyes looked almost as bad as mine : (
