Caramel Glacé is a slightly warm medium brown with a fair bit of silver shimmer. It isn't exactly metallic in a light coat, although it gets a bit frosty with heavy application. This is a nice nude color - on me a bit more than nude, as i am rather fair. I need to test this a few more days to be certain, as in the past (1990s) Revlon colors often changed on me - getting plum-pinker or orange-er than when first applied, depending on the base color; but so far with casual wear this new formula seems not to be going orange on me. All in all, this is a good day-to-day color for a somewhat neutral lip and the combination of warm base and cool shimmer means it can work on many skin tones.

Been looking for a dupe for Clinique's Buttershines in Delovely. I love the Clinique shade but the color pay off was just ridic. It didn't last at all. So purchased Caramel Glace at Target, with a $1 off coupon. It ended up at $3.99. It's the closest color to Delovely. Beigey, brown, nude but with a hint of peach on me. It's tricky to find a good nude because it's either got too much pink or rose/mauve which is what I was avoiding. I have other nudes with those undertones already. But under natural lighting this seems to be the color I was looking for. Can be applied light or a dark which turns to a darker brown. Definitely not copper or too shimmery but a slight pearl sheen. Same description on the Revlon's website as the Clinique's website both labeled 'pearl'. I apply my Blistex Complete lip balm first. Very pretty color and doesn't wash me out. For reference I am a NC40/C4. I've only been wearing a few days. Will edit if it's not what I expected. So far I'm pretty satisfied!!

I have been trying to switch from darker brown/currant shades to lighter/neutrals because I was starting to look clown like. This is the PERFECT transition colour. Doesn't stay on as long as I would like but the great colour is worth reapplying regularly. Sheer, neutral brown, bit of glimmer but nothing off putting for my age. I will be wearing this for the next10 years!

I found this a shimmery and natural looking lipstick. It goes on well, and while it doesn't last exceptionally long I think the look it achieves is worth it. It also doesn't appear sloppy when it does wear off, it just kinda blends in with your natural colour. A really classy looking lip colour.

I was looking for a light brown for all day wear, this is it. Not excellent but decent.*edit* I am not very satisfied with this any more and passed away. Feels drying and unflattering, 1 lippie off.

Very nice color, goes on kinda metallically, but in a nice way. A pinkish-goldish-brownish nude color. Goes on very smoothly on lips. Not bad for a drugstore brand.
Update: After using it, I find that it's not very pigmented and I have to apply a lot of layers to make the color show. Taking off a lippy, but the texture of it is very good. Too bad it's so sheer.

I was choosing between this one and Champange on Ice. I chose Caramel Glace and I'm glad I did. This is a very light color and looks good on my pigmented lips. Champange on Ice would have probably washed me out.

Caramel Glace’s base color is a warm, caramel, sheer brown with just a hint of rose in it to keep it becoming too brown. With the silver shimmer in it, I think it makes this color a perfect neutral...it can work either way, but I prefer it with warm colors. I tend to wear this as a ylbb, brown/nude, it tends to turn up my lip color a notch, make it more of a deep color that I can see through the lipstick. It’s my second favorite lipstick color (second to another Revlon S/L, “champagne on ice”).

Glides on smoothly, feels creamy but not heavy on your lips. You can adjust the color intensity easily with this semi-sheer color. I love Revlon’s “pearl” finish S/L’s, just the right amount of shimmer to make the lipstick look a wet, almost like you’ve added a coat of gloss over the top. I don’t find the formula “moisturizing” but it’s certainly not drying. I’ve never had a problem with it. No smell or taste!

Packaging is a standard black tube with a clear top on the lid and a wide gold band around the center with “Revlon” printed in black. Nothing fancy but certainly nothing to be shy about pulling out of your purse in public.

Priced anywhere from $4.99-about $7usd, you can often find them on sale and they’re easily found at all drug stores.

Love and will buy again. NC15-25, light green eyes, blondish/brown hair, medium pigmented lips. continued >>

I love the Super Lustrous line of lipsticks. This particular color, however, just made me (warm brown AAB) look dead.

I love this lipstick for when I dont want to be daring, it's a soft cafe au lait shade, that isn't too frosty. However with my coloring it's a little too cool toned. But it's a keeper.

Important: these lipsticks were reformulated as of 2005. Reformulated ones come in new packaging, a black case with a clear window on top of the tube. They also feature "Revlon" written across a single thick gold band in center of tube (OLD formula had black tube, three single thin bands across center). This review is based on the *NEW FORMULA*.

COLOR: This is a neutral to warm caramel shade with a pearl finish.

PROS: Great color/pigmentation. Smooth texture, long lasting, and best of all non-drying on my lips. There is no scent to the lipstick.

CONS: This particular color tends to look a little orange after eating and wearing off a bit throughout the day.

OVERALL: Wonderful lipstick for the price.

PRICE: $6-9 USD found at drugstores nation wide. continued >>

I like the reformulated version of these. They have fairly good staying power, no detectable flavor or scent, and they feel nice on the lips, not overly drying or too "heavy" feeling. That said, I do not care for this particular color on me. It turns into a grayish taupe color, a little on the cool side for me (I have a light medium warm complexion). I will buy other colors but I wouldn't repurchase this particular color.

This was one of the new shades released when Revlon re-formulated the Super Lustrous line. They should have named this "brown sugar" IMO because that's what the color reminds me of. This is one of the most perfect neutral nude shades with shimmer that I have in my collection (and I have a lot). Amazing quality for the price. I would wager this shade would look great on most people--highly recommended if you're in the mood for a neutral l/s. If you haven't checked out Revlon's l/s for awhile b/c you're tired of the same old stuff--I'd give them another shot--they've added some nice new colors and the new formula is great.
