I don't care for this hand creme. I looks like crisco, but it actually has a smooth, watery light texture. Once applied, it feels nice for about a half hour, and then your hands go back to being their dry selves. Some might say that this product is highly absorbent, which is why it feels dry to the touch. Absorbent or not, good hand cremes should not leave your hands dry and uncomfortable. I really wanted to like this, but after many applications, I experienced the same dryness not too long after I applied it. I have chronically dry hands; they're not chapped or cracked, but I wash my hands frequently and I just hate the feeling. If this creme can't keep my un-cracked, non-chapped hands soft and moist, then I don't know what that says about the product's efficacy. Consider this carefully before buying, or at least test it out and then walk around for an hour or two before deciding if it's hydrating enough for you. I'm ambivalent about the scent.

I am always hunting for the perfect hand cream. I have tried many. Drugstore, department store and boutique brands. This one is in my top 5 of the best hand creams ever. It is thick but it absorbs. My hands feel comfortable after using it, there is no oily residue left. My hands stay moisturized. I have no complaints, this hand cream is effective. The scent is faint but pleasant. I consider myself a hand cream connoisseur, I have dry hands and hand cream is a must for me. I have tried to many and have some favorites so I could never narrow it down to one single HG but as I said, this is top 5. Very good stuff.

Okay, this has to be the best hand creme EVER. True, it doesn't feel anything like a lotion, so if your looking for that lotion feeling, its not there, but I put this on in the morning and all day my hands stay smooth and silky and never dry. I usually have really dry hands and with this creme I never have to worry about that. i love this.

I am a caregiver for my father and I am always washing my hands. This creme is a lifesaver! I spent all last winter using parafin dips to counter the dryness but I don't feel I'll need to this year. It doesn't have that greasy finish that many cremes have nor does it have that silicone-y feel. I have a jar in every bathroom. This is my favorite hand creme and I swear I've tried them all!

As the reviews state, this is a very thick cream, more so than most lotions. But I really love it, and it softens my hands more than anything. It will feel a little oily for about 3-5 minutes, but once it sinks in, my hands feel great. It may be better for older hands like mine, rather than younger ones. Very good price for the size, too.

I actually liked this hand cream quite a bit, especially when summer came round and the weather was more humid. It absorbed quickly, wasn't too hot on the scent, but it dissapated rather quickly, so it didn't bother me too much. Kept my hands soft and smooth without feeling greasy or sticky. Only complaint is the tub, not very hygenic and portable.

I did not like this hand cream at all. I found that although it definitely absorbed into my skin and did not leave a film, it did not moisturize my hands at all. In addition, the smell of this cream is simply horrific. The poster directly below compared the smell to a cheap dollar store fragrance and I couldn't agree more. It reeks! Even if it moisturized well, I would not be able to tolerate that cheap scent. I will not repurchase. It retails for $14. for 8oz.

Don't buy this crap. This stuff feels as if you are putting lard on your hands. It is super duper thick and hard to disperse the "cream" on your hands and it smells like a cheap lotion. Like a lotion you would buy fron the one dollar store.

Truly outstanding hand cream! My hands are super dry. The smell of the cream is wonderful. The cream it self is very thick. Only a small amount is needed. It goes on light and instantly moisturises dry, rough skin. My hands feel silky smooth for hours. I've used on the psoriasis on my arms with good results. I can't wait to try on my feet. This cream is, indeed, special!

Not so effective as a moisturizer as it goes away after a couple hours. My aveeno skin relief moisturizing cream works better than this. The only downside is that it's abit oily. So what I do is top it off with the Special Hand Cream and it gives me the silkiest, smoothest hands.

A very good product. Honestly, I got it as a sample, and I really enjoyed it. It softens hands and doesn't leave an oily feeling behind. And the smell isn't bad either.

Erm, doesn't do anything special. It's not rich enough for a night cream that you can wear with gloves like pure shea butter, and too sticky for a day cream since it'll just leave oily films on everything you touch. It's certainly not moisturising enough for problem areas like elbows and heels, but it's not really supposed to so I can't fault it for that. An in between product - I can find something else that's better in the drugstore.

There's nothing different between this and a drugstore cream, IMO. I'd actually prefer a lighter cream because this one is SO thick. The smell is pleasant though and not overpowering. I'd save my money though and buy something else.

I believe the scent is a very strong gardenia, which I don't care for. The texture is okay, but there are better lotions for less money.

So far this is my staple hand cream! While I don't really love the scent, the cream does its job perfectly! It soaks into your skin without a greasy feeling and also does not give off static cling, which some hand creams do!
You get a large size for the price, just wish they would make a tube for convenient packing!

this hand cream has the most wonderful texture....very unique. the cream is thick and rich, but when you put it on, it does feel watery. i *love* the feeling. it sinks in so quickly, that it feels like youre spreading pure water over your hands- very refreshing. it leaves your skin completely moisturized.
i would have given this lotion a 5, if it werent for the noxious scent. the scent is definitely not light, delicate or even remotely pleasant. its strong, and smells exactly like aqua net....or an avon perfume from the 80's. i detect hairspray, and tropical fruit. banana? frangipane? i put it on at 8pm, and i could still smell it the next day when i woke up.
its a damn shame this stuff reeks so bad, because it is otherwise wonderful. it could have been a staple.

i found this way too thick even for my dry winter hands. it seemed greasy, and i didnt have the pleasant sensation of rubbing pure water over my hands as described above. i still cannot tolerate the scent. continued >>

As a true hater of hand cream I have found the one that I can live with. It leaves no greasy residue, and no overpowering scent. And it provides soft glowing skin in it's wake- imagine that. A must for anyone with dry skin who hates hand cream - it really sinks right in.

I'm not too crazy about this hand cream. The price is not bad for how long it lasts. It's $7 for a 4 oz tub and $12 for an 8 oz. tub. The scent doesn't last too long which is good because I don't care for the smell. In the tub, it looks like a nice, rich cream, but when you rub it on your hands it feels thin and watery. I'd recommend it for someone looking for a light hand lotion, not for someone looking for a true cream.

I love this cream! It smells sooo good and comes in a tub which is perfect for work...
It soaks in well leaving your hands so soft!
I will buy this again and again.
