Packaging;
This is a hard plastic bottle with a pump. The bottle is black so you cannot tell how much is left, and you don't know when you're starting to run out, until you actually run out. You can't squeeze out the last of the product, since the bottle is hard.
Texture;
It has silicones it in, which is USUALLY good for filling in lines and pores but can also clog pores. This doesn't do a good job on that. It doesn't feel runny, and won't drip or anything like that, and doesn't feel heavy or thick once applied to your face. It looks white and shimmery, but when you smooth it out over your face it's clear. Smells a little bit like Smashbox primer, maybe because of the similar ingredients?
Product;
Once you apply it your face feels smooth and not greasy. This DOESN'T help with creasing around the mouth, nose or anything. My foundation still creases, and I have tried several (Shiseido, MAC, Lancome, Bobbi Brown foundations) with this primer. It DOES help with keeping your foundation on for a little bit longer than it would without primer, but it certainly doesn't last all day, so it's nothing spectacular.
Conclusion;
For the price it's certainly not worth it. It could work if it was cheaper than 15 dollars but it's 34. For around that price you can get much better primers like Smashbox Photo Finish primer or Clarins Instant Smooth primer, and one that is truly amazing for a low price is Studio Secrets Smoothing Resurfacing Primer. I can't recommend MAC Prep + Prime to anyone. continued >>

I give this a 5 because i truely do use it every day after my normal oil of olay lotion and it works reallly well under studio fix fluid foundation. I reccomend it..it makes my pores seem smaller and my skin feels so smooth.

Makes my foundation look flawless and last all day, it just feels a little heavy for everyday use. Overall I enjoy using it!

This is a great go to, all around good primer. It isn't trying to do anything but hold makeup in place. It isn't a funky colour, it isn't a skin sinking moisturizer, it hasn't been drug up from the bottom of an oil tanker, it doesn't have the consistency of old milk... it is just a primer and that is awesome if you ask me.
PROS: Smells great, kind of like floral, candy bananas. Lasts a long time. Easy to spread on skin and it has a great texture. Helps to hold makeup in place all day.
CONS: The sparkles never show up on my skin after I put on foundation... so no issue with that. It is pricy but out of the primers I have tried, it has lasted the longest (drugstore & high end) continued >>

This product didnt break me out. If your thinking of buying this read about it on the website...I went in to speak to the SA about this product and the SA said it had NO sillicone......funny when the website states it does and so does the box....so if you have issues with sillicone,avoid this product.
I think you only need a little bit of this product. I used about 3 pumps (silly I know) and when i put my foundation on after a few hours all my foundation fell into my smile lines and it looked like I had a cast over my face.
when I used the normal 1 pump....my foundation looked smooth, flawless and beautiful.

Although I haven't tried many skin primers, this is definitely one of my favorites! Makes my skin feel flawless, and makeup application is amazing with it. Makes even some of the worst foundations look better!

This product works wonders for me! I have combination skin and used to have to blot 2-3 hours after I put my make-up. Now I can wait till well after midday!
Weather is not good overhere these days so now I only use it on my T-zone, since my moisturizer already has 15 SPF. I think that will suffice.
When it's sunny, I use it all over my face.
The only thing I truly hate is - like so many others said before - the packaging!

best primer ive ever had! you'll notice how poreless and flawless your skin would look after applying this...since i have an oily face i only wear this on special occasions when i need full coverage make up and long lasting effect....my mom actually just gave this to me because she's currently working in new york and im living here in the philippines. i gave this a 4 rating because it is expensive and i rarely use this because i dont wanna waste it knowing that it would take long before i repurchased again. ;)

This is honestly the best primer i have used (i have converted from Napoleon). Yes it does have a shimmer in it but if thats all you can see on your skin you are most probably using too much of this product.
This primer has made a world of difference to how long my makeup lasts on my face throughout the day, especially my t-zone. It used to appear oily by midday, but now i just barely notice oil well later in the day.
The only annoying thing is the packaging. The fact that it is black makes it impossible to tell how much product you have left.

Terriable primer, full of sparkles which add nothing to the wear just make your face look like a certain emo vampire in the movies. I like to wear light coverage foundation so these retared sparkles don't get covered up. I don't recommend this at all it's expensive and mediocre. I get better results from Revlon, Face of Australia and Models Prefer which all are under $30 at Priceline

This stuff made me break out like crazy after just one use. I usually love mac products but this one did me wrong. I was really disappointed. I don't like the glitter that comes out of it because I can feel it all over my face. I tried using it as an eye shadow primer and it made my eyeshadow smudge within two hours. I don't have oily skin so I'm not really sure why it doesn't work for me. I will not be buying this again.

I just purchased this for $20 at the CCO in Gatlinburg, TN. I mainly use it to create a smoother application of my powder foundation. This is my 6th bottle and I have no complaints!

I've been using this for 3 weeks now and i love it. At first, i put it all over my face but i think my cheeks got irritated. I've got combo skin, oily on the tzone area. From then on, i only put this on my tzone then apply mac studiofix powder. I don't get shiny face anymore until like 6pm which is why im loving it. I will buy again.

I didn't like this product, the workers at MAC pursuaded me into buying it cause I "needed it" It was around $28-$30, It so wasn't worth it. When I used it it made me break out the next day, it made my face flakey, and when I applied my foundation on it it made it flake even more. I tried using it mulitple times it just never worked for me:/ Sadly, I was dissappointed. It was also shimmery, which I didn't like...

This primer is seriously perfect ! The girl at the store gave me a sample and it worked great on me ! Because I have VERY dry skin all around my mouth and eyes .. and oily skin on my T-zone ... It's difficult to find products that works for boths problems ... BUT THIS moisturized my dry skin and kept me away from oily skin ! seriously I would by the real format but I feel like it's too expensive for my budget ... too bad :(

I hate to say it but I totally hate this product :(
I was expecting a lot when I purchased it and after the first use I thought it was a hit. Until I woke up the next morning with a major breakout on my chin and around my nose. At first I figured it could be coincidence but unfortunately, it wasn't. I tried it a few times since and every time I wake up to the sight of zits, redness and clogged pores. I'm almost religious when it comes to skincare and cleansing and I never fall asleep in my makeup so that can't be it.
My main complaints: very slippery to apply, too shimmery, doesn't do anything for my oily t-zone and it clogs my pores like crazy. The only positive thing I can thing of is the packaging... It comes in pump.
Sorry MAC... No lippies this time!

I honestly don't have much to compare this to, considering it's the first primer I have used. It's so hard to base a decision off of a review, so I definitely think everyone needs to try certain products for their own skin types.
With that being said, this didn't do much for my skin. I have dry patches around my mouth/chin area and sometimes on my cheeks. My t-zone gets pretty oily, so I was looking for a primer that wouldn't make my face drier and that would minimize my t-zone oils. I might be asking for too much. But I will definitely keep on looking for this in another primer because this one didn't deliver.
I've used this product twice, and seriously, it's been like, 2 hours since I applied my makeup, and my t-zone is just as oily and shiny as usual. It also seems to make my makeup look a little cake-y in the afternoon.
On the plus side, it hasn't dried me out anymore than usual.And the packaging is nice., The mousse-y consistency feels great, and it does make my skin feel smooth. The girl at the Mac counter suggested this and said if it didn't work out to just return it, which I will be doing. I plan on trying Bare Minerals Prime Time, as I imagine it was probably made with people who use their foundation in mind (and that's my foundation of choice).
I love the idea of a primer and have heard good things about many out there. So I guess, until I find the perfect one, I'll keep searching.

I just purchased this primer from MAC to go with my matchmaster foundation because no other primer worked with the foundation. I don't know why but after using this primer, the foundation just blended so well into my skin! It just looked so flawless. It has a pump so I can control how much I want and its hygienic. It has a mousse like texture so it blends pretty easily. But since I have oily skin I use it very sparingly! I don't think I'll be repurchasing though because of the quantity.
