I usually use Natura Bisse NB Ceuticals, but ran out and it's hard to get where I live so I thought I'd give Aveda a try since I buy my hair stuff from there.
This cleanser is just ok. My skin is a bit complicated, it's sensitive and I struggle with redness across my nose and cheek area. But I'm combo/oily and so I can get blocked pores and blackhead/whitehead acne (the little bumps, not big zits except for my monthly).
The cleanser has a decent ingredient list, and it didn't cause more breakouts, but it left my skin with an oily film feel I just didn't like. And it wasn't the best at removing makeup (and I don't wear a lot).
If you have sensitive/dry skin and don't break out easy this would be a great cleanser. Particularly if you don't wear heavy makeup or are willing to use a makeup remover first. I'm too lazy for all that ;)
Overall, I would use it again if I couldn't get my usual cleanser and it was winter and I needed extra moisture. I didn't irritate my skin and left it feeling comfortable after.
I love this! I have already gone through 2 bottles of this, and I love it because it's super gentle and rinses off without leaving a film or drying out my skin. My pores are diminished and my skin feels clean and soft after using this.
This product is also perfect for sensitive and dry skin with visible irritation and a red complexion. It will cleanse and leave the skin feeling smooth.
I bought this in a gift set just for the recycled concrete bag!
I think it is OK, but like the moisturiser a bit of a non-event, and therefore probably not worth the price. It is weird as it seems to have little 'beads' (like exfoliating beads) but only a very sparse amount, I don't know if something was weird with my product or what they are for. I didn't find it either bad or good for my skin - I didn't have a negative reaction and my skin was somewhat clean afterwards. I do like to have a gentle cleanser around but I prefer Saaf as it is lovely and nourishing and feels much more worth the money.
I really like the smell of this cleanser, so beautiful. I have combination skin, with some sensitive, this product leaves my skin feel so smooth..I really love it, though I am not sure if it really clean my pores...at least it doesnt block or clog..ß
I have been using the All Sensitive cleanser and moisturizer a.m. and p.m. for about 5 months and now have congestion on my forehead that wasn't there before. Not good.
This is my HG cleanser. It's mild but cleans deep and is one of the only products I've tried that doesn't leave me red and raw afterwards.
I use this on a regular basis and have repurchased it multiple times. I have sensitive, fair skin that is acne prone. This is the only product I have found so far that doesn't irratate my skin or make me break out. It's a little on the expensive side and I would consider switching to another product if it had the same results & was cheaper, but for now this is what I will keep using unitl I find something else that's better.
Cons: Dried out my face, caused bumps, stung
My skin is oily, but dry and flaky in the winter. It's also acne-prone and sensitive. This cleanser is incredibly misleading. It was too drying, and that's coming from someone with oily skin, and my face broke out in little bumps after using it twice. I followed the advice of the Sales person and bought this, but in all honesty, and this is probably mean to say but her skin wasn't that great either. I think it has to be a rule that the salesperson who uses that product should have good skin, otherwise do not buy such product.
Good thing Aveda has a lax return policy, because I am bringing this back.
Wanted to try this because I like Aveda hair products. Didn't do anything for me - didn't make my face feel clean, soft, moisturizing, nada. It made my face turn slightly red when used, but have not had adverse reactions. Some people are comparing it to Cetaphil - between the two, I prefer Cetaphil.
