I bought this a couple years ago when I worked at Kohl's. At the time, I thought I was getting a great deal. However, I'm not as enchanted with the set as I used to be. The powder and blush brushes are both fairly scratchy and tend to make my face itch. I rarely use them anymore. I like the eyeliner brush, but I don't use it that often. The lash comb is merely ok - I use it sometimes but only because I have no other lash comb. I keep this set around just in case I absolutely need it, but I find myself using different brushes nowadays instead.

I'm really dissapointed in this set. What can I say, I got what I paid for. The powder brush can be used for a blush brush in a pinch, but nothing I would feel satisfied with using everyday. The blush brush is useless. The eyeshadow brush is the best one in the bunch (I'm trying to look at this as if I paid $11 for the eyeshadow brush, which makes me feel not as bad about the rest of the set.) The eyeliner brush has no give at all, which makes it border on being dangerous imo. Definitely don't use this brush if you don't have a steady hand. It is so stiff and the edge is so thin, I'm pretty much too scared to use it unless I have to lol. (I have an Estee Lauder eyeliner brush that, while not perfect, is far better than this one.) The eyebrow comb, well, it's as good as any other I suppose. But it's something you could buy anywhere else. Overall I would not recommend this set to anyone, nor would I repurchase. I know that brushes can be expensive, but this is just a waste of money. Save your $11 and put it towards a quality brush.

This product is good for someone starting a brush collection who doesn't want to spend a lot of money. the only ones i use are the lash comb and the eyeliner brush(which i don't even use as much anymore bc i have the tony and tiny one which i like better). OVerall, it's a decent product for the price, but I think it's worth it to invest in each brush seperately. I also find the powder brush and blush brush to be slightly scratchy.

I got this brush kit in an awesome swap, and I've only used the eyeliner brush and brow comb, so I'm going to have to update after trying the other brushes, but I just have to say, the eyeliner brush ROCKS and it would be worth buying or swapping for the kit, for its sake alone. I got the most effortless, gorgeous, thin, right-up-against-my-lashes line with this, using dry eyeshadow, and it didn't even flake all over my cheeks. I am in love. I actually liked this better than my Urban Decay eyeliner brush because the bristles don't splay when I use it wet. The brow comb is nice too. I used it today on my eyebrow that was being a bit unruly and I like how it doesn't run the risk of smudging my makeup, like poking around with my finger does. Updating: The blush brush is way too small, not a good fit for my cheekbone, but the powder brush is about right for blush. It's dense, so it's a good blender, and the bristles are soft. The eyeshadow brush is soft and a good size. I like it quite a bit, but it does pick up a lot of pigment, which makes it less effective as a blender than my Clinique eyeshadow brush. Overall, this is a good product for the quite reasonable price, and I like the look of these flat black brushes in my bathroom brush cup.

I got these brushes with the holiday kit as well, which I bought after the holidays at a greatly reduced price.

Most of the brushes are just so/so and have a tendancy to leave bristles on my face, but the eyeliner brush is freaking awesome. I will never buy eyeliner again now that I can use shadow.

edit 3/11/06- I picked up the small eyeshadow brush a few months ago and started using it again and I'm really loving it with mineral eyeshadows. picks up just the right amount of shadow and doesn't splay it all across my face.
