Not just another petrolabum-based salve! This fragrance-free formula is enriched with emollients like squalene, shea butter and plant oils to moisturize the lips and boosted with antioxidants (in packaging that protects these important ingredients from light and air) plus a wonderful natural aroma from vanilla extract. It is similar to Kiehl's Lip Balm #1 (but better) and a nice alternative to Paula's Choice Lip & Body Treatment Balm for those of us who can't handle jar packaging (Paula's formula is slightly more emollient though as it contains beeswax and lanolin). The formula can become slightly runny when left in a warm pocket, but this situation can be easily remedied by gently shaking the tube before use. It also lends a shiny finish to the lips, but if gloss isn't your preferred lip look then simply apply sparingly - a little bit goes a long way. Generously sized for a lip balm, and decently priced for such a thoughtfully formulated product. continued >>

I really like this lip balm. I use this and the rose salve seriously 20 times a day! I love them. This is so hydrating and it has a nice slight vanilla scent. It is a bit expensive like the rose salve as well but I use it anyways. The only con is that it breaks me out if it gets on my skin so i have to be careful. But other then that I really like this lip balm!

This is a review for the C.O. Bigelow My favorite NIGHT BALM. Although this stuff is pretty expensive at about $7 for a very small tube, it's worth it. I have used other products such as the Rose Salve at night on my lips not to mention other balms and cocoa butters but nothing comes close to this stuff. It actually hydrates the lips and penetrates them, whereas the other products just kind of sit on top of the lips. The nice thing about this product is that you only need to use a little bit. You wake up in the morning with soft, hydrated, "come hither" lips! LOL!!

This review is for the My Favorite Balm Night Treatment (couldn't find it here on the reviews). Wow! Very effective and smoothing out lines and leaving lips very moisturized.
Applied it at night and awoke to very smoothed out lips. My lips still felt moisturized and supple during the day. I can't say that other lip balms have had that same long lasting effect for me.
Felt great going on, not too gloopy and had a pleasant taste to it. Will definately buy it again :)

This is more of a gloss than a balm. Doesn't soften much, but adds quite a lot of shine. If used with a lip brush it can be really pretty.

I love this lip balm! It smells delicious, and it's super moisturizing. The packaging is also simple, and isn't obnoxious like a lot of other lip balms.
But, I don't like how super liquid-y it is. I would probably like this one better if it was in a stick form. Its also way too expensive for a lip balm (despite the great quality).

Truly is my favorite lip balm. The smell is great, it glides on smooth, and is very moisturizing. If they had it in a stick form, I'd love it even more.

C.O. Bigelow knows - it is my favourite lip balm. And I've been a lipstuff junkie for years (once, when I was in high school, my best friend sent me that "LipBalmAddicts" site...I don't know if it still exists, but it was still funny...), so that's saying something.
My Favourite Lip Balm (MFLB from here on in) is kind of liquidy and glossy without the sticky. Seriously, this is glossy balm. None of that waxy stuff that you get with other balms, which I guess some hate and some love. It pretty much just slides on and keeps my lips moisturized quite awesomely. I wear it over my lipstick and it keeps me from looking like a cracked-lip-scary-witch.
It smells awesome and has shea butter and sweet almond oil, which is a nice change from the slightly-stickier mentha balms that CO Bigelow is known for. MFLB is strictly moisturizing. It smells good too.
In a pinch, it will work for moisturizing cuticles too, I've found. Although you're probably better off getting actual cuticle cream...but as I said, in a pinch it will do.
All in all, I will be repurchasing this again and again (yes, those B&BW B2G1 sales are all going to MFLBs). Awesome :) continued >>

This wasn't a horrible lip balm, but it didn't really impress me. I like the slight vanilla scent it has as well as the squeeze tube with the slanted tip applicator, but overall it just wasn't anything special to me in terms of moisturizing. It wears off quite quickly on my lips, and for some reason my balm became completely liquidy inside the tube, so it's extra messy to deal with. I think maybe it was in very hot temperatures for a day and never recovered. Anyway, it's okay, but I wouldn't repurchase. C.O. Bigelow's Rose Salve is my HG lipbalm though, and I highly recommend that over this.

I think people have personal preferences when it comes to lip balm.... flavored or not, tinted or not, glossy or waxy.... My preference runs to the glossy. If you're into waxy, something of the Burt's Bees lip balm texture, this is not for you. If you're wanting a gloss, something that doesn't melt into your lips but feels viably there for a while, this is a better match for you.
I initially picked this up as a less expensive alternative to Kiehl's lip balm, which I have used for years and loved. It's become my mainstay, as I like it more than the Kiehl's actually. It doesn't get sticky, which Kiehl's seems to do over time, and there's a nice, very light almond (in my mind) flavor. Not tasteless, but nothing punchy, fruity, or assertive. I really like this.
One lippy off though because I find that I need to apply twice-over before my lips feel adequately moisturized.

I have been using C.O. Bigelow products for YEARS. I have so many different kinds, and I've never been inclined to buy this one until now, just because I'm attracted to the yummy flavors! I do like this lip balm/gloss, just because it has good ingredients, it works pretty well, and its not clumpy like some chap sticks (I HATE CHAP STICK). I feel that it's not the MOST moisturizing thing in the world, but my lips really aren't that dry so it works. But it just dries up so quickly! I constantly reapply. My main use for this is just to put a thin layer over some of my thick/sticky lipglosses to thin them out, and for that, it's perfect! I might buy again, if I ever run out.

My mom originally hooked me onto C.O. Bigelow a couple years ago. She bought all the different kinds, from cinnamon to green tea and so on. I found that while "My Favorite Lip Balm" was great and did it's job upon application, the lip gloss would be non-existent 20 minutes later. I don't know if i'm licking my lips too much or if it just wore off. I think we're all on that quest for the go-to lip balm that moisturizes and looks really cute and if you want my opinion, this is not it. (I recommend good old Carmex!!! It's great and stays on forever!) But I did find an unconventional use for this lip balm. After taking off my make up, I find that my eyelids can become very dry and flaky even, and applying a bit of this balm over my entire eyelid before going to bed leaves me with beautifully moisturized eyelids for the next day. :] Hope this helped someone!

I wanted this to be a favourite lip balm, but it's only ok, and not even a balm.
My lips are dry and chapped no matter what season so I need to be wearing some kind of balm or gloss most of the time lest the skin on my lips start flaking and peeling off. I thought this would be a simple moisturizing balm that I could apply for that purpose. It's does an ok job when it is on, but only because it's better than nothing on my lips. But it doesn't stay on very well, nor does it absorb into the skin so all it does is give me a slippery shine which I am not looking for. After a short while it sort of disappears leaving me with my lips as dry as before I put it on and not much softer, almost like it just evaporates.
I was disappointed that this was not balmy at all, and I could forgive that because the smell was pleasant and was ok as a gloss, but after the first two or three uses the formula started separating inside the tube. When I squeeze it, most of what comes out is a liquidy oil. The product doesn't even come out properly and makes it very hard to apply well. This was worse in the summer, and now it's a little bit better with that since it's fall but it still separates noticably. I don't know if it's just my tube though, I'll have to give the testers a squeeze the next time I go to BBW.
I picked this up when BBW had the 3/$14 lip sale. Retail is 7.5 CAN. At sale price this is still not worth it (for the poor job it does) so I won't be buying again. I got the lemon lip cream from C.O Bigelow in the same sale and I highly recommend it as a replacement balm for this. It's actually about the same consistancy as My Favourite lip balm when it doesn't separate but it does a better job at moisturizing and smells delicious. It's not for seriously chapped lips though, as it's not balmy either and won't work as well as Blistex medicated balms.

I just recently acquired this lip balm. I find it to be greasy and I feel as if it doesn't dissolve into my lips as I would like. It tends to just sit on the surface and have a glossy feel to it. The smell of this lip balm is light and sweet, I think both Shea butter and almond oil go good together. C.O Bigelow could also spend some time working on a design for the tube, it is a plain white color with writing all over it. Because I paid $5 for it I will continue to use it until it is done however I don't think I will be buying one again.

this is literally my favorite lip balm. i didn't know how much i would like it at first because as a favorite go to everyday lip balm i don't want something too shiny or sticky or too thing, also when i'm carrying it in my pocket i don't want a pot. the smell comes from the shea butter and almond oil they add and it's my absolute favorite. almost the same consistency as the lemon lip cream but a little thicker. the slanted tip is the smoothest tip ever. i love it! go to bath and body works and try the tester because they have every tester imaginable!

Maybe it's just me, but when I think of a "balm," I think of a creamy-gel type of consistency. That being said, this is definitely not a lip balm - it's a lip gloss. It's more on the liquidy side, and definitely shiny, so for that reason, I think the name is kind of misleading. I don't particularly love or hate it, but I won't be buying it again.

I found this at Bath and Body Works and they were having a lip gloss buy 2 get the third free sale. I bought my favorite lip balm and it's my favorite of the three I bought without question! It goes on SO smooth, gives a subtle shine and has a lovely almond/shea butter smell to it. You do have to apply it pretty often as it does slip off my lips quite easily. But for an everyday lip balm, I would for sure recommend this product.

I've been using this product for years. It makes a great nighttime lip balm. I also like to use it before I put on lipstick because it helps the lipcolor glide on smoothly. Prior to this, I was wearing Chapstick's Nighttime lip balm, but it smelled awful. I saw this balm on sale at my local B&BW. I gave it a try and fell in love since. continued >>

Sometimes you just want a balm that doesn't tingle. This fits the bill. It's not too moisturizing, and not too sticky. It goes on completely clear and gives a subtle shine. Recommended for warmer, more humid weather.

I feel like this never really sinks into my lips. It just sits on top. There's a nice shine to it, the smell is yummy and the packaging is cute, but it just doesn't do the job of a lip balm.
