First off, I don't even own this anymore. Gave it to my sister to see if she could work with it. This is the most drying lipstick I have ever tried. It is soo cakey and nasty. I thought it would be a light pink/nude but no. This is.. skin colored. It literally washes away your lips so you look lipless!!! If I wore this in public id probably be laughed at. I brought this back into mac to see if they could give me tips and the lady didn't even know what to do!!! I now stay away from this type of mac lipstick. I believe it was a satin? I won't even try another color from this type.
Fail, mac, fail.

This lipstick is ok, nothing special. I have the creme d'nude as well, and feel much about the same about them both. they fade quickly, look patchy quickly and if you're looking for a moisturising lipstick, these are not it.

This color is one of MAC best-selling colors
i do like the color but i usually don't wear it alone, it's useful for cutting down brighter colors or creating a base to put brighter colors over. texture is quite dry and not very buildable.

I love this lipstick.. Just because most people say this makes you look washed out, lipless, dead, etc. it depends how you're applying it. So if anyone were to use it you don't sweep it across your lips from side to side unless you want it to look like you have no lips lol, DAB IT! also, i apply a lipgloss over it & wala! continued >>

When I bought this lipstick, I had no real concept of what a nude lipstick was and what it was supposed to do. I had only been drawn to brights. My understanding was that a nude lipstick was supposed to make your lips the same colour as your face (I know!!) and that's what this did, so I purchased it. Didn't know if I liked it, but I'd heard nude lips were on trend, so I got it.

When I saw it in natural light I hated it. I tried a light hand, a full sheath of colour, overlining with it.. I hated them all. Honestly, it made me look like I had a skin disease.

But I'm giving this a 4 because eventually I got the hang. It won't come as any surprise - the key to making this work is lipliner. The one I use religiously with this lippie is Rimmel 1000 Kisses liner in Tiramisu (an orangey neutral - very similar to the colour of Estee Lauder's Crystal Baby.) And once I worked that out I've worn it on a few nights out and got compliments for it. Definitely not an everyday lipstick for me and would never wear it in the daytime.

Am quite excited by other people's suggestions. Will definitely try mixing it with some other lipsticks and seeing what I can come up with.

One for those who like to experiment - and a challenge.

I'm quite new to the world of lipsticks among make up issues. I only used glosses before finding out about the many wonderful colours MAC has in its shops. So I walked in and I had no clue about which one to buy. I tried on loads of colours, then I got myself into MYTH.. and it's been love at first sight, I've been looking for this nude shade FOR AGES! I'm going to buy again when this one is finished. I think this colour suits brunettes better than blondes, but who cares.. if you like it, get it!

Warm medium light skin tone. Makes me look dead. Dark hair. Light eyes.

I was SO skeptical about this color at first. I got in a back to Mac swap so it was free but the MA had to convince me to walk away with it. The key to this lipstick is manipulation! I adore how many custom colors you can make with this...my favorites being the mixtures with Costa Chic, Impassioned and the recently purchased Viva Glam V! Now that I know it's capabilities I will never be without one in my extensive lip collection!

I have bought this product twice. It looks nice with a tan or when I'm pale. It does have a "chalky" feel and look. At times, it highlights (or produces?) flakiness on my lips. If you use too much, it washes you out. However, I like it b/c I can combine it with lip liner, a dot of lip gloss at the center of my bottom lip, or wear it alone and it all looks good!

This is a really good shade of nude lipstick! My only problem is that it's extremely drying, and it settles into the cracks of your lips and flakes off in an unflattering way, even if you use lip balm on your lips first. I'm not 100% if I would re-purchase it or not

What i like about this lipstick is that it's creamy and very pigmented. To me it smells like donuts and i love it! haha.
Myth doesn't make your lips too pale so you dont look like you're dead. I have used it for couple times now and unfortunately it didn't last long on my lips. So you maybe have to add it more later.
I got mine for 19 € and it's quite expensive to me..

I'm so glad that I waited until now to review this lipstick. I was iffy about it at first but now I love it. I just had to learn how to apply it (I apply a bit and then spread it around with my finger). I don't get a death lip look from this colour. It works with the colour of my lips to give me a muted pinky peach colour. It looks amazing with a gloss over it!

I LOVE this colour soooo much, im NC35 so i have yellow tones to my skin and am obsessed with finding the perfect nude with a hint of pink and this is my favourite, Its a lovely silky matte lipstick and the colour is intense - i hate those sheer ones! and its pretty cheap, but it should be because the packaging is pretty bland and rubbish. Another downside is that with using it every day it only lasts a month. Ive tried so many nudes though and this id definitely my favourite.

I love pairing Myth with baby pink and pale peach lipgloss. It is a vanilla shade with a subtle peachy tone to it. I really can't wear it alone as its just too pale for my skintone but it's fabulous for canceling out my lips natural hue underneath lipgloss.

I avoided this lipstick forever since so many people said it gave them death lips, looks like a concealer, washed them out, etc. But I saw a You Tube video of a girl with a similar skin tone so I then ordered it off of Nordstrom's site. I'm happy to report that it does not make me look dead! I can't believe I've avoided this colour for so long. On me, it shows up as a pinky beige nude. Myth reminds me of a ligher version of peachstock. I'm not sure if I will repurchase since I reach for Peachstock more. As far as MAC lipsticks go, Peachstock is still number one for me. Its a very nice colour, but still is not perfect. So I took one lippie off.

I have medium to tan skin and black hair, so its extremely hard to find a good nude lipstick that doesn't make me look dead! But this one I really love. It has peachy undertones so it works with tan skin. I have read reviews saying its drying, but I haven't noticed it being dry at all, even with a lip liner underneath and no chapstick. The staying power isn't great though unfortunately. It does last about an hour so make sure you bring it with you when your going out. Other than that I really do love it! Perfect nude color!

A beautiful nude, with a discrete undertone of peach! I am NW15 and have a hard time finding a lipstick that is nude without making me look "ill" such as the MAC lipglass in C-Thru one day according to a concerned teacher! (True story - lol.) In my opinion this looks much better with darker/smoky eyes then a natural eye look in general.

Anyways, it of course has the sleek bullet like design which is easy to feel for in your purse with the rounded top. The lasting power is decent, but I do like to mix a little bit of Creme Cup by MAC sometimes if I feel like it needs a bit more of a pink tone.

I often got compliments on this all the time as it was my staple. (I now wear Twig by MAC daily) My only complain is I have found it can accentuate lip flakes, though my lips aren't particularly dry so be sure to use a chap stick before bed if you have that problem! I would repurchase.

This is my absolute favorite lipstick. It took the place of Fleshpot. I get compliments all the time from people wanting to know what I'm wearing. I wear it with a cheap Rimmell clover pink lip liner and clear gloss :)

This is my go to lipsticks!! It's actually one of the first lipsticks i bought from MAC. Its a really neutrally-peachy colour. For me though i have pigmented lips so it evens it out to a more very light pinkish colour, that is why i love it! I have to admit though I dont wear this lipstick in the summertime because my skin is darker obviously! But winter is soon approaching so im going to have to stock up on this lipstick ! Some people worry that it might give them that 'dead zombie' look, BUT if you pair it up with a nice colour lipgloss it would look fab :)

3 1/2 stars.

Was given this lipstick by a friend who shyly confessed, "I used to be really into this color when I wore platform flip flops and highlighted my hair." Ha!

Upon first application (swiped it on my lips sans liner, primer, or gloss, just to check it out), I decided to toss it into my professional kit for shoots where I needed to make a model look sick or dead. (Absolutely zero sarcasm intended. In fact, I might purchase another for that very use.) However, after playing around with it a bit, it's really grown on me!

Some reviewers have noted that with a truly great lipstick, you shouldn't HAVE to work with it to make it look good. And while I understand where they're coming from (every girl needs a few trusty shades she can throw on sans mirror on her way out the door without worrying about looking like she forgot to take off her Halloween zombie get-up), I don't have any issue working with products and finding ways to utilize them to their full potential. I mean, think about it - So many of us spend time exfoliating, prepping, lining, glossing. . . What's a couple of extra minutes to find what could potentially be an amazing look for you?

I've actually come up with one of my favorite new looks using this lipstick - I apply one light swipe (it's very concentrated, and foundation-y and thick if you over-apply), blot, and then mix in a teeny bit of berry stain. It produces a beautiful MLBB appearance that everyone compliments me on, takes literally five seconds longer than applying the lipstick on its own, and lasts all day. I also like mixing it with a dab of sparkly gloss, for a fun, nude shade that is a fantastic compliment to a dark smokey eye. (Perfect for the upcoming holiday party season.)

Bottom line: It's not for everyone (but what is?), and certainly NOT for the girl who likes to swipe on a lipstick and be done with it. But if you enjoy playing with unique shades and creating new looks, I would almost call this a must-have! continued >>
