I really wanted to like this one, Marilyn said it was for "the woman who lives on the edge".And the ingredients sound great, Egyptian jasmine,
pink water lily and ylang ylang--unfortunately when I wear it all I can
smell is the coriander and cardamom. I think on someone else it
would smell great.I got it in a great collection, but would advise anyone
to try it first.
Truly a find. I am a tagetes (marigold) lover and find this note a rarity in fragrance. Lauren by Ralph Lauren had it but the later reformulated version seemed to remove it. Atrevida keeps that slightly sharp tone that I so loved and mixes it with coriander and cardamom to make it a one of a kind scent.
There is a whiff of jasmine in Atrevida but it does not overpower and the spices stay true to the end.
My favorite Miglin scent.

As the previous reviewer stated, this is an "airy" chypre. Also, I would say that it might be a "fruity" chypre. I think that it smells like a lighter version of EL's Knowing. My bottle came from HSN, and like so many other bottles from HSN, it leaks.
I like it and would probably buy it again. Smells very clean and hasn't given me a headache like so many of the ozone type fragrances do.
I spritzed this on once and the dry down gave me such a headache. Way too strong at the start and it ended up offensive as the day wore on.
Atrevida was the surprise fragrance in the 7 Marilyn Miglin bottles I bought. I thought this would be the one I would not like, but it turns out to be the best and most agreeable, and actually it's the only one I like of all seven. I want to call it an "airy light chypre"...but it doesn't fit the class of chypre, and later in the dry down it really becomes melonish, some fresh-like-a-cucumber note pushes through, and that's not the typical ending of a chypre. The beginning is a bit better than the ending IMO.
