These are a great alternative to other tinted balms that has a strong minty tingle (love those!). The peppermint in this is more subtle. But I still like this. The shade is a red with brown in it which makes it wearable and pretty.

I don't have any tinted lip balms in my collection, so I thought I'd give this a try. This isn't something I find myself wanting to use every day since the color seems to be a bit too much for my fair skin tone. But if I apply a regular lip balm first then just lightly apply the terratint afterwards and blend in, it makes for a lovely pop of color. =] The tingly sensation is a nice afterthought and of course the little bit of spf protection is nice as well. As for moisturizing..I would say this just doesn't cut it. The product by itself made my lips so uncomfortably dry and cracked, worse then if I wore nothing at all. =/ Even with applying lip balm for this, any moisture from prior lip balm almost feels like it's being suck out of my lips. So I don't think I'd repurchase again after using up this tube. The tint of color is nice, but lip stick can do the same thing, just wish it was a good moisturizing lip balm.

I came across this product in 2000, in Rapid City, South Dakota, and have been using it ever since, both in the USA, and back home in Australia. I never once had dry or cracked lips during that winter I spent in South Dakota, nor have I since then. I only wear Blaze, it's a great colour, strong and bright enough to be seen but not over-obvious. It's not an all-day colour, has to applied fairly regularly, but that's normal for a lip balm. It works for day or evening. It's practically all I have worn for the last 10+ years and I'm upset that the Australian distributors of Alba products have stopped importing it. Lucky for me I do travel to the USA and so I'll be stocking up on my next trip.

I bought this at HEB yesterday. I had been wanting to try a tinted balm, because lipsticks have been drying my lips lately, but I really prefer to have some color on them. So, I picked this up, put it on in the car on the way home, and was immediately impressed with it. It imparts that lovely my-lips-only-better color, moisturizes, and has staying power. I don't like the texture of the stick (lots of little lumps), but that really isn't enough for me to knock off a lippie.

Love this balm for its natural ingredients list and the soft red look it gives to my lips. I'm a bit afraid of red, so I often try red lips through balms and stains as opposed to lipsticks. This one is a bit creamier and more lipstick-like than Korres Wild Rose lip balm (which looks more like a stain). It's also a tad more moisturizing. It gives my lips a nice subtle red-rosey flush though, which I like on occasion. The mint flavor isn't overwhelming, though it may cause sensitivity issues for some. My only complaint is that sometimes it feels a bit dry on my lips, particularly during winter. That's easily solved by layering over another clear balm. Overall thumbs up for this product.

I really wanted to give this a five because I love the colour and it moisturizes pretty well.
But what I don't like about this is that it's almost like a lipstick and the consistency is quite soft, so it's easy to put on too much and smudge a huge chunk of it onto your lips. And when you put on too much, after a while it looks like you're wearing lip liner.
Though, if you just gently blot the lip balm onto your lips, it looks really nice and a bit more natural.
Because of the colour in this balm, it's really hard to moisturize the corners of my mouth with this without looking like a clown.... so I have to use another non-colour lipbalm for that.

I’ve got a new love – organic lip tints. Applies and feels like lip balms (you don’t need mirror), and add colour for a fresher look, but not make-uped like lipstick. Even easier to apply than lip-gloss, and wears longer than lip-gloss too, I think, and my hair doesn’t stick to my lips as when I wear lip-gloss.
I’ve tried this type + KissMyFace Sheer organic Shimmers and MyChelle Little Kisses, and love this + Sheer organic Shimmers for the fresh minty taste, but this feels even better on as it is softer (but I think Sheer organic Shimmers lasts a little longer because of the dryer consistence – but never mind, they are so refreshing to reapply so I do it all the time anyway). And colurwise I prefer Little Kisses because they re richer pigmented with less shimmer than those two.
Love this colour even if I normally like darker colours; it’s a bright but natural red-ish colour just dark enough for brighten up my face. I want to try the Garnet too to see if it is a darker plum colour.
And what a wonderful prize on these!

I am very happy with this stuff. I wanted a tinted lipbalm rather than a lipgloss or lipstick for everyday use. Something that adds a little color but still looks natural. This is just that. It is a very pretty red-brown-pinkish color that gives a nice and natural finish to my look during the day. This is the only color I like by the way, but it's perfect so I don't need more. It has a minty smell and feels cool when you apply. I'm not necessarily a fan of that but I don't mind it either. It is moisturizing but during winter I feel it is not always moisturizing enough for my uber-dry lips so sometimes I apply a normal lipbalm first before applying this. That works fine. Also, if I want a bit more color just another swipe will do that. In short, I'm really happy with this stuff and I use it everyday.

I've been buying this forever. It's a warm brown-red with shimmer, goes with everything and is not too bright. It's moisturizing, but you might still need balm underneath if you have super-dry lips like me.
Very nice color for winter, and you can control the intensity of the color by application. I usually hate mint balms, but this one isn't too strong.

I bought one of these in Bloom and liked it so much that I went back a few days later and bought Blaze! I thought because of the name it would be a orange-red color - but it's actually a beautiful rosey pink-red. The color shows up more than Bloom, which is a very subtle pink. Blaze is definitely noticable, but still sheer. The staying power is fairly good for a tinted balm. On the other hand, it also tends to bleed and feather a bit which can look messy, so you have to apply carefully. Final verdict: Nice color but I will probably not repurchase and just go for red lipstick if I want something this pigmented.

I love this product! The color choice is great for my pale skin, it is moisturizing and it stays put on the lips for a long time. For the price, you can't beat this if you want a natural product. Wonderful find!

I dont like this lipbalm. The color is pretty, but it migrates outside my lips too easily. As a balm it is just ok, nothing special. I love tinted lipbalms, but to me this one just wasnt good enough.

This product has been reformulated-- a few years ago I bought it and it had SPF 18, and now it has "non-chemical sunscreen" (zinc oxide) and SPF 8. The new ingredient seems to have given the product a different texture; it's much more waxy and opaque. I actually like that, because I can achieve anything from a sheer tint (one swipe) to a lipstick-like opacity (several swipes).
Blaze is the only color in the lineup I like: a pretty rosy-mauvey-pearly red with duochrome shimmer that's a lot like MAC's New York Apple. A very '80s color, in a good way. The peppermint tingle is mild and disappears quickly, not like Burt's Bees! Overall, this is a good value for $4. I like it as well as BB's lip shimmers, which contain half the amount at a higher price and don't have sunscreen. It can be a bit hard to apply the Terra Tint evenly, though, as it's a wide chapstick-like design rather than a slimline tube. Minor gripe, 1 lippie off for that.

Although I first used this product about seven years ago, I had completely forgotten about it until today. I saw a display of these balms at CVS, so I decided to pick up Blaze. It's almost exactly like I remembered! It's a nice shimmery reddish lip balm with a minty smell. The texture is fairly creamy, and the color isn't too over the top. I like the fact that it contains spf 8, so it's a good everyday product. The only issue some may have is that the color gets a bit streaky if you apply it with a heavy hand. Then again for $4, it's a fairly good product.

i love this balm, but i hate this particular color on me. it's a semi-sheer wash of shimmery orangey-red. the balm is thin, smooth and moist with a pepperminty taste and smell. it also provides spf18 protection. would probably be lovely on those without a cool complexion. cool PPP skintone, brown hair and eyes.

This actually pretty pigmented for a balm and two layers gives me bright red lips. A little sheerer and I get a nice, straightforward, warm red with no shimmer. There's a minty tingle and no taste. The balm feels slick, is not particularly moisturizing (I layer a real balm beneath it since I consider this more of a cosmetic) and is pretty inexpensive. I like Blaze as an alternative to my Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer in "Nutmeg" since the latter is more orangey and shimmery and will probably repurchase.

I like Terra Tints, but Blaze is too opaque for my taste. I love the tingly feeling on my lips and it moistruizes quite well.

Great your-lips-but-better shade for pale, cool-toned gals. Minty, SPF 15, and around $4.00US. I've bought many tubes of this in the past and will continue to buy it in the future.

I first discovered this inexpensive lip balm last winter, when I was looking for something slightly more tinted than a LipSmackers that would also heal my dry, chapped lips. Eight months later, I'm on my 4th tube, and I LOVE it! It's my "your lips but better" HG shade, and I've worn practically nothing else on my lips since I first found it.
"Blaze" is a shimmery berry color in it's chapstick-like tube, but on (on me, at least), the shimmer is not quite so noticeable, the color appears more reddish and is nice and sheer, not heavy or overly lipstick-like. It looks nice by itself and compliments lighter makeup, and it has a fresh peppermint scent and no real flavor to speak of. It moisturizes and heals chapped lips very nicely, and another thing I've noticed is that I haven't gotten a cold sore on my lips since I started using this. Whether the lip balm has anything to do with that or not is beyond me, but this is one of my all-time, very favorite, cannot-live-without-it products, and there are VERY FEW of those!

It's such a shame they don't make this in a more understated color for my PPP complexion as I love the idea of combining lipcolor and sunprotection at such low costs.
Blaze is a vibrant cherry red that is just a bit much for everyday. I don't care for the minty taste and since the colors are not for me I won't repurchase, but it could work for others.
