I bought this to cover under eye circles/discoloration. Granted, I don't have terribly dark, noticeable circles - they're really only apparent if I've not gotten enough sleep. On one such sleep-deprived occasion I went to Ulta and one of the reps quickly suggested this product. Thankfully they had two sizes to choose from, so I went with the smaller one, referred to as the "To Go" size, which is still quite pricey at $28 for 0.2 oz. No matter - undeterred and in need of something that would transform me into looking rested and refreshed, I took her advice and bought it.
Fast forward to the following week when I applied it under my eyes. It was SO thick, and then it had the nerve to crease. My undereye area looked worse. I may as well have hung a neon sign above my head that flashed, "Dark circles. Dark circles." Still, not wanting to believe a product that is so well-received was doing me dirty, I didn't toss it out. On the next occasion I had to use it, my prior awful experience still fresh in my mind, I used a lighter hand. I blended, blended, blended (although I'm pretty darn sure I did this the first time as well - I'm not a makeup newbie, after all). I stood back a bit from the mirror (since no one, thankfully, is as close to my face as I am when looking in the mirror while 'painting my face,' as my DH so lovingly refers to it. But I digress . . . .)
The result: heavy, cakey, OBVIOUS concealer usage. The shade I was given is correct, I'm sure of that. My application technique, while not 'professional,' is not to blame. It's this product. I'm glad others have found "the one" in the realm of concealers, but for me, unfortunately, the search continues.
On my 3rd tube of this concealer. I love it! Used to use the MAC concealer prior to this and find this one more thick and provides heavy coverage. Only complaint is that it oozes out and wastes product so you have to be veryyy careful when squeezing the tube. Did not break me out and covers my hyper pigmented post acne scars 100%. A little pricy but worth it. Don't recommend using it as undereye concealer because it will crease.
I bought this concealer a couple of years ago and does not find myself reaching for it very often at all. The coverage is very good, however the consistency is thick and greasy. The staying power is below average, disappears in just a few hours. However the one thing that i hate most about it is the smell - it smells like paint and the scent lingers. I can never wear it on a date. Coupled with the hefty price i wouldn't purchase again.
I use this for acne scars, and it covers sufficiently but not completely. It's also pretty expensive. I don't like to keep this on for more than 8-10 hours, as I think it contributes to some acne. The packaging isn't horrible, but the cap does get messy.
love this, thick creamy and long lasting. l price a little steap but it does the job and I would repurchase again. no out breaks, no settling into fine lines.
I've been using this concealer for several years based on the recommendation of a sales associate at Sephora. She suggested it as a good undereye concealer. I actually don't love it as an undereye concealer (it creases too much) but i love it for spot treatment. I'm in my late 20s and still have plenty of acne scars on my face and it does an amazing (no pun intended) covering up the spots even the nasty ones. I also found that when I started using primer (which was a few years after I started to use this concealer) it made a world of difference in getting this concealer to spread out. While this is expensive, this tube lasts forever! I've had mine for over a year and you really only need to use a little bit at time.
I have this in light golden, and it does a pretty good job of covering my dark circles. The consistency is a bit runny, but the wear is very good. There is no indication that this is waterproof, but it stayed on even after getting wet. The price is pretty steep, a tiny tube of this is about on part with a mid-end foundation, and the larger tube is over $40USD. I really like the shade range. I'm currently a little darker than normal from tanning, but they have shades light enough for my natural color. A little bit goes a long way, and I squeezed out too much when I first got this.
A little bit goes a long way. I had this color matched to my tanned skin for covering up my under eye circles. For some reason, when I am more tanned, my circle are more noticeable and darker. I place a drop size amount, literally the smallest little bit of the concealer will do the trick, on my ring finger and quickly dap/tap it under my eyes from the outer corners in. I realized, it takes some time to learn how to perfect this concealer because I have made it quiet cakey on some days. It leaves a dewy finish and there are lots of colors to pick from.
Good thing I got the small travel version of amazing cosmetics because it will be a long time until i repurchase
This is my favorite concealer and I've tried them all. The trick is to use a TINY bit. The tube will last forever. Set it with a yellow toned powder. Very natural but brightening and I have pretty dark under eye circles. Also works great dabbed lightly on spots and pimples after foundation. Use fingertips - I didn't get great results with a concealer brush.
I had really high hopes for the concealer, for $42 I thought it would be my holy grail, but it disappointed me over and over again. I heard Michelle Phan rave about this so I picked it up, I really really wanted it to work. I put it under and over my foundation. And it creases like nothing else. I returned it and brought the MAC Pro-Longwear Concealer. It won't crease and I can go swimming and it won't come off. I recommend that one
