this powder has shimmer in it; and the packaging sucks; and my face just get oilier in 2 or maybe even 1 hour. will never ever repurchase.

It gives a matte finish. But it also makes my oily skin even more oily 5 mins right after I apply it.
Two lippies because it gives you decent amount of product for the money.
Packaging is a lil bulky.
Press powder performances very differently on different people, it just did'nt work for me, but it might work for you.

This is a great powder for the money. I've used all kinds of powders from high end to low end.. This does what it is supposed to do. It sets my makeup and keeps my oily skin at bay for quite a few hours. I use creamy beige. NW25 in MAC for reference. This is just as good or even better than the MAC powders I have used. The packaging is horrible but will not make me not use this.

I got this product in transperant help my foudation stay matte the color is NOT transperant it has a pale color so recommend it for fair skin. But it stand true too matte out skin esp for me in the T zone. I'm going to return it for a colored powder to better suit my skin tone. Also the price is amzing esp for the amount of product that you get!

I think this product is the cheaper version of MAC blot powder. Previously i used MAC blot powder but it's a little on the pricier end and lasts me just about 3 months. This powder has a light baby powder scent to it and the oil control is rather good on me. Lasted me on average 5-6 hours without blotting on top of my foundation, same as MAC blot powder. I would definitely repurchase until I find something better and not too expensive.

Not a fan of this at all. I have pretty tough skin that is not sensitive to anything but this made me break out in itchy red blotches all over my face. I think it may have been the harsh fragrance or something. Only good thing was I got this on sale for 2 dollars so I'm not too worried

I really wanted to like this product. It was relatively inexpensive (about $11, which is cheap here in Australia) and the promise of remaining shine free for hours was too much to resist. It didn't break me out, which is great for me as I rarely have much luck with Rimmel products, and the colour was great, as I am rather pale. This was not enough to make up for the chalky consistency, which caked no matter how I applied it. The lasting power was also not very impressive for me, as I was shiny and caked looking in well under 2 hours. This might work for people who have only a small problem with oil around their nose or forehead, but anybody with real oil problems should probably avoid this!

This is a good product, but some disadvantages leaves me not wanting to repurchase, especially since there are a ton of powders to try out in the drugstore. First of all, the package is horrible. I can only use this at home, since the lid comes off SUPER easily. I like the scent that it has, reminds me of a traditional moisturizing cream. In terms of how well it works, it's good. It makes my skin matte, immediately, but stays on for only a few hours before my skin gets oily again. I have pretty oily skin, so that's another factor I guess... I just don't feel like this product holds anything special that would make me repurchase.

I was very excited to purchase this since I read some great reviews on it. But it did not work out for my skin at all. It was a very good price for the amount of product they give you but it made my skin irritated and did not do much to set my foundation. I have a very sensitive skin so only some makeup brands suit me. Definitely regret buying this. The packaging was also very cheap. The lid came off easily and was overall ver disappointing.

I find that this runs away rather quickly. It's useful to keep oil at bay in sweaty weather, but I don't rely on it for totally setting my makeup.

This is a GREAT setting powder. It totally keeps my oil under control without looking chalky, cakey, dry, or any of that awfulness. I do need to touch up through out the day though, but I don't mind that very much because I always have to do that with all powders!

This is a great powder! It cost me less than 5 dollars. The packaging IS flimsy, as other reviewers have mentioned, but since I don't need to touch up when using this powder, I don't take it with me for the day. I like how the packaging is very simple and to the point-- the puffs and applicators that come with drugstore makeup are usually crap anyway. Didn't clog my pores, and kept my oily skin matte all day. Applies natural, doesn't cling to dry patches, and doesn't oxidize. Will definitely repurchase!

This doesn't really do anything for my skin. I have noticed no difference with this than without it. My foundation will still look greasy just as quickly with this on as without.
When I put it on, for a few minutes it will mattify my t-zone but it's done and over with so quickly, I don't think it's worth it.

Ehhh.... I saw this on sale at Shopper's Drug Mart from 8.99 to 4.99 and I needed a powder at the time, so I thought, why not? I got it in translucent (I'm at NC15). I use it after I apply liquid foundation as a setting powder using a fluffy kabuki.
It has a nice texture, not extremely silky, but not chunky and grainy either. I hit pan on it after a year when suddenly, it shattered completely after I dropped it. The packaging also left a lot to be desired, but I kept it closed with a hair tie. That being said, it does last for a long time if you use a light hand.
But this powder often makes me look chalky and ghostly before it sets into my skin and turns truly translucent. It also doesn't do anything for the staying power of my makeup. It absorbs oil, but only for a 4-5 hours - my t-zone starts becoming oily after. I wouldn't repurchase (actually looking for another powder now) but it also never broke me out so if I was forced to use it again, I'd be okay with it. It's a fine powder if you're on a budget (get it on sale!) however it isn't the best out there.
EDIT:
Having changed foundations, this powder now holds up better. I think the issue was mainly the foundation (Giorgio Armani Lasting Silk)...it always makes me greasy in my t-zone! I have used this powder with my new foundation and I am pleased to say it works better. Still going to leave it a 3 thought - it's really a 3.5 to me now but not yet a 4! But I now would repurchase again if I were on a tight budget and needed a good, basic powder.

I have used this powder for years. I switched to MAC Studio Fix powder for a short while but found it was too expensive and went back to Rimmel.
I use transparent as it has a similiar finish to MAC NC25.
I recently started using Estee Lauder DW liquid in Fresco and the Rimmel powder finish creates a perfect medium/fare colour.
It's a cheap powder, works best when paired with a great liquid foundation.
Just wish the packaging included a mirror!
Since combining the powder with EL liquid, my skin has stayed flawless throughout the day. They work great together.
Hope that helps :)

I have this in transparent, as I am using this to set my liquid foundation.
This is lightweight and is perfect for my t-zone. It was able to keep my combo, oily t-zone matte for my entire day, no touchups!
The packaging however, I noticed some people have complained about the packaging. The rims of the container have spaces where it's a twist and open/close kind of thing. Just an fyi. But it is a bit loose and doesn't feel secure. So far it hasn't fallen apart in my bag, but I will keep this in a plastic bag when carrying it around with me for possible touch ups as a precaution.
Edit: I don't know what happened, but It seemed as I used up the top layer, it stopped working as nicely as it was. I am still kept matte, but only for a shorter timeframe compared to all-day like it was. I am also experiencing dryness and flakes at the creases of my nose and believe it is because of this product or it may be because of the change in weather. I will update it if it is bc of this or not.

My friends that have the Chanel finish pressed powder says this is very similar in application texture and quality! I only got it for $3 on sale at Shoppers, what a steal!! Simply put it, does what it says. Overall I wouldn't say this is an exceptional product because it's just simply a blot/transparent finish powder, functional but not a requirement. However, it does do its job and keep my make up staying matte and sets face so makeup can last longer. I like to put it right underneath my eyes so that my eyeliner doesn't smudge from concealer underneath my eyes. I have this in transparent and you can get away with applying generously most of the time without it looking too cakey (I'm NC25-30 btw).
The packaging is really cheap. The lid doesn't stay on well. So even though this is a good size to travel with, there is no mirror and I wouldn't risk putting it in my bag (in case lid falls off).
I've already hit pan on this! My first time hitting pan on powder makeup!

I have two of these which came free with other Rimmel and products and that's enough.
I like it. I have it in the lightest colour, Transparent. It's not transparent and it's actually slightly darker than my skintone but it is extremely useful. You can press it on lightly using a powder brush and it will cover redness in the t zone and help control oil there. I find it's a good product to press over my sunscreen which is always rather shiney for about twenty minutes before it calms down. You can also buff it which actually provides good (if rather obviously powdery) coverage. Not a day look for me but I'm ok with it occasionally for a night out. The only way I wouldn't recommend applying it is by dusting over the face. It clings to fine hairs something savage. You need a much more finely milled powder, probably a loose one, for that.

I love this product because its super good with oily skin and gives medium coverage and the powder lasts for a good 6 hours the only problem is the limited colors so i had to stop using it its either too light or too dark but I will definetly recommend it if they have your color!
