OK, this moisturizer was MUCH better than I expected. It does have that cheap fragrance smell, which is a little disappointing. I fully expected the typical lame skin care product associated with the cheap smell. It didn't help any that I have been mostly underwhelmed by Prada skin care. So far, the only thing I like is the tinted lip balm. But...this moisturizer is not bad. I might even say that it's excellent. This product is a light moisturizer that is absorbed quickly and doesn't leave a residue. I got it as a sample...I think it was a NM GWP. The labeling is not so helpful as each of the little bubbles comes in a sealed packet that has only a limited amount of info. E.g., the label says that it has sodium hyaluronate, soy, yeast, and serine, but not very much is really given regarding the full ingredient list. In any case, I've been using it for 3-4 days straight now, and no reactions, no bumps, no itching. My skin is smooth and not greasy at the end of the day. Very nice surprise from Prada! continued >>

HYDRATING SET: HYDRATING GEL CREAM/FACE and HYDRATING MASK/FACE FOR DRY SKIN. $75.00. Ok, at firs this seems like a good little deal considering the exorbitant prices for their skin care/makeup line until you try the product. It's alright all in all. However, I didn't expect it to have the fragrance that it did. It reminds me of something Estee Lauder or Lancome would scent their products with; it was perfumy...weird.. reminded me of my grandmother after she'd slather Nivea (european formula) on her face every night! (by the way.. in all fairness this by no way feels like Nivea).
In any case, I really expected no scent or if any at all something more natural such as a hint of lavender and lime... basil.. I don't know .. something that comes from nature! The packaging suggest purity and the scent did not reflect this at all. If they were going for sophistication by adding the scent they did they're way off because like I said it reminded me of other lines. At least be original!
Speaking of the packaging.. I hate that little appendage that says Prada! It's not very functional. It's like a little flag.. just there.. no reason.. other than to have the word Prada printed on it. *shrugs* .. don't get it.. and I hate it because I can't fit everything closely together on my makeup counter at home..pointless..
Ok, Ok.. about the product itself.. the actual moisturizer.. It's fair.. middle of the road.. If you want something that penetrates a little deeper use the Hydrating Mask for Dry Skin as moisturizer... that's what I've been doing! It's very light.. and no heavy feeling. Your skin absorbs it so don't know how this can be considered something you wash off!

I use this only at night since it’s quite rich. It makes my skin very tight and toned the next morning and does a good job moisturizing. The texture is thick. This cream has a funny scent, but it doesn’t bother me that much. The packaging is so adorable.

Docking a lippie for price...
$90 for this, be it the multi-dose or the mono-dose (the mono's averaged about 2 uses per bubble). I guess I can't find a cheaper substitute. Meant for normal/combination skin this has become my HG of winter moisturizers (thankfully it's only used one season of the year!!). It moisturizes my more senstive and dry face well, leaves a little glowiness behind which doesn't bother me much, but also doesn't aggrivate my pores into producing small-country sized zits in protest. The multi-dose is supposedly air-tight and should stay fresh for awhile (here's hoping what I don't finsih this winter is good next winter!!) continued >>

this is my favorite moisturizer thus far. I've used up a bottle and about to make another purchase but darn, its $90 and the bottle has lasted 2 months. that will cost me at least $540 a year (not counting tax and s&h)
i have super dry skin and usually when I apply foundation, i can see dry patches, not with the prada gel cream! my back up moisturizer is l'occitane immortelle precious cream but it doesn't do as great a job and I don't like that its in a jar.
the prada bottle is rather bulky and the top really doesn't close and the tab on the side is annoying but I really really like this product. if only it was cheaper.

Love this stuff. It is the best foundation I have ever used. Nice coverage, makes your skin look dewy and healthy. The packaging could be better. Crazy expensive, but worth it.

I have been using this for a year now and really like it. I can't say I love it b/c there is no spf. I use at night over retin-A and my face feels soft and firm, not tight in the morning. I typically use more in the winter instead of using a heavier cream and it works fine for me. I have this in both the multidose bottle 1.7oz and the monodose packets for travel. I have had a problem keeping the lid securely on the bottle, it just seems to lay there instead of attaching on.

Just used a sample of this before and I do think it feels quite nice (I agree, similar to Idealist.. which obviously means this product must be packed with silicone). Nothing special. Plus I cannot stand Prada's monodose concept.. have you no consideration for the environment at all?

I got a sample of this at the Neiman Marcus GWP. The scent reminds me of Estee Lauders Idealist. The texture reminds me of Clinique's Moisture on-line, only not quite as heavy. As others have said though, the monodose packaging is stupid and wasteful. ButI like this gel alot, and I would buy it if it came at a better price!

I got a monodose of this as part of a Neiman Marcus GWP and had the opportunity to try it for a week. It has it's pros and cons.
Pros: It worked very nicely on my combo, somewhat sensitive skin. Moisturized well without being too heavy and didn't leave my face dry feeling. No overpowering scent. I love the monodose concept so you don't get bacteria in a whole jar or anything like that.
Cons: It really wasn't special enough to warrant the price tag (I believe it's $90 for a 30 monodose supply.)
There are products out there just as decent that are MUCH cheaper. continued >>

I was fortunate enough to receive a monodose of this as part of a swap. I have combination, sensitive skin (running on the dry side). I used this cream over Prada's revivng bio firm concentrate as a night cream combo. In short, yes - my skin did feel moisturized after all of this but the creams are heavy and take a while to sink into my skin. They didn't feel particularly luxurious nor did they have a pleasant scent. I find the packaging annoying though they do look unique.. but when you work in the medical field.. opening individually sealed and sterilized sachets isn't such a big deal. I am sure I can find more practical if not more sensibly priced HG moisturizers out there. No - I wouldn't buy any Prada skincare.. I'll just keep lemming their handbags!

Received a sample of this in a Neiman Marcus GWP and found that the monodose lasted me a week, applying just at night. I liked everything about it -- floral fragrance, texture, the way it absorbed completely, and the finish on my skin. And I'm a sucker for Prada's stylish (if eco-unconscious) packaging. However, this is a pretty basic moisturizer that did what it was supposed to do and didn't break me out, but was without any of the amazing benefits you'd expect for the price. Basically, I wouldn't buy the full size, but I'd certainly use it if I got it as a gift.

this is a beautiful, super great smelling moisturizer. it blends easily into the skin, plumps my skin up, and leaves me slightly rosy and glowing. unfortunately, now it is winter and i need something heavier/thicker for my dry? normal? combo/sensitive? skin. (everyday is like a new begining for me with no recognizable pattern of skin hydration needs.) i like this lotion because it never broke me out, feels very soft both in your hands and on you face, doesn't feel dry or tight after sinking in like many other lotions, and even though i have the pump bottle, i've found this to be among my most travel-friendly moisturizers to date. on the other hand, the pump bottle itself is about 3 times as big as it has to be. i am also confused as to whether this is suppossed to be a light cream, or a moisturizing one since it is moisturizing, but it has enough alcohol in it so that you feel it evaporating after applying. i love it, but am not convinced. i feel great about having purchased it, but will probably try to find another solution for next time.

I really like this gel cream!! It sinks in and I didn't feel greasy. Since it doesn't come with sunscreen, so I just use it at night. After one night at an air-conditioned room, my face is still hydrated even after my morning cleansing. I have tried many other brands and this really did impressed me. For optimal hydration, you can apply hydrating serum underneath this gel cream. It's amazing :)

I received this as a sample from a Neiman Marcus event and am very impressed. I had never tried any of Prada's skincare/makeup and this is a fabulous gel-cream that absorbs very nicely. After the first 5 minutes there is still a bit of a sheen, but then it dries quite a flattering velvety-matte. I am not the biggest fan of the individual-packets packaging, but would purchase this. Like all Prada stuff though, I find this expensive.

PRICE: US$90.00

I always wanted skincare that came in small sizes, so they'd be hygenic, fresh, and I would actually USE something up for once. Prada got the idea right, but not entirely. The monodoses come in a sealed packet, so once you open it, you have to use all of it - not very smart, because the monodoses are quite large IMHO and I can use each monodose of this gel-cream 3 times before it finishes. So if they made mini bottles with caps instead, I'd love it more :) Apart from that, I found the quality of this cream just average. The thought of putting Prada on my face isn't enough for me to ignore the fact that it's quite greasy on my combination skin and doesn't absorb very well. I wanted to use this in the morning because I figured a "gel cream" texture would be nice in the mornings, but I found that it was slightly sticky and greasy, and when I rubbed my fingers on my skin afterwards (or when I applied foundation), my skin kind of rubbed off in little balls. Weird?

I have normal to combo skin. This product did a great job of moisturizing my skin without making me oily. I liked the texture and no fragrance. I am not crazy about the monodoses though, hard to store.

Does it hydrate without making my skin oily? Yes. And my face felt and looked dewy. It is a nice cream in that its texture is light and fluffy and does not feel heavy. It preps rather well for makeup. It would be suited for the warmer months and oily or N/O skins. But, at $90 for less than 1.7 Oz in the monodose concept, I can't get pass the fact that there are many more moisturizers out there that can be equally, if not more beneficial. Furthermore, this cream does only what its names suggests, that is to hydrate. No antioxidents or sunscreen here. I like the concept of targeting problem areas with specific products, like hydrating shielding, etc. but this is a very marginal product for the price. I did not experience any breakouts, but there are some comodogenic ingredients in there. Not impressive for the price unless you're willing to splurge. The monodose concept is great if you travel a lot, other than that, its just gimmicky and cumbersome. One monodose lasted me more than one use and storing was thus a problem.
