I have combo skin and I really wanted to find a cleanser that wouldn't irritate one over the other. I will be dry through out the day then somewhere along the line be covered in oil. UGH. I HATE IT! But anyways, This cleanser is perfect. I usually moisturize right after I wash my face so I don't know if it dries you out as bad as people say lol.
But never the less, this is still my HG Cleanser. I absolutely love it. It leaves a squeaky clean feeling which I personally like. A little bit, like a pea size squeeze would go along way. The smell is okay, At first I wasn't sure I liked it or not, but I love it now =D
The only thing is that a tube is $20 w/o taxes. It is one freaking expensive cleanser but hey, you get what you pay for.

Oh my, I' ve wasted so much money on buying the whole kit (I mean the toner as well). My skin' s dry/combo and I get pimples from time to time, but overall I have just minor problems with my face and I can bare a lot of products which are said to be rather harsh.
Anyway, I can't help but say this thing sucks. It left my skin awefully dry, tight and - which is the worst - red as if I had a sort of a rash. After using it for about 3 months I quitted, because my skin was in a very bad condition. I developped quite an annoying acne. Now my skin's almost flawless, but I would never ever use this thing again.

It isn't too bad, a really tiny amount goes a long way. It lathers up really great.
However, it is heavily perfumed. It's not a bad scent, but I don't like the fact that it's in my cleanser. My skin has been dryer than normal lately, and breaking out at the same time. I know I can't blame just the cleanser for them but for the dryness I'm pretty sure. Probably won't be getting it again.

Good cleanser however its to drying in my opinion.I don't like the fact that it feels like everything on your face is gone, like all the protective barriers etc. will not repurchase

I bought this as part of a gift set. I've been using it for over three weeks. What can I say about it?
It has a strong scent similar to that of Hydrationist. I find it rather disturbing that it is so strongly scent --> many possible irritating perfume ingredients. It cleans okay and is not too drying for my combination. Also, it does not cause breakouts.
Conclusion, it's not worth the price. You can get drugstore cleanser such as Purpose and Cetaphil that does the same job. continued >>

I really really really enjoy using this cleanser!
I got this in a GWP when I purchased double wear foundation. 50ml is going to last me 2 months at least because you only need a teeny tiny amount, less than half a pearl, a mere smudge to create a creamy lather for your entire face.
This could be some users problem, if you have combination skin and its really really drying your skin out? You literally need a ridiculously small amount.
Its quite a concentrated, pearlescent mousse formula.
When I was rinsing my skin felt 'squeaky clean' but still fairly comfortable. I kind of enjoyed this as I have developed a bit of congestion so hopefully this well help to clear it up.
Packaging....I wish it was in a flip top lid.Though in the full size its a gold cap (i believe) which I kinda like..
In Australia this is expensive! But, if its going to last me so long I dont mind. Plus they seem to offer it in the majority of GWP's so if Im buying foundation I will almost get some of my skincare for free!

Well, I like it, I read all the reviews here and I don't know what to say, I think it cleanses really well, and it feels comfortable when you use it on your skin, and it's not expensive, and you don't need a lot of it to do the trick every time.
Perhaps I am just quickly becoming an "Estee Lauder junkie", LOL.

I loved this. I got it in a gift set I received after purchasing some of their products, and its amazing. I got it with the toner and some other face car products and together they make an amazing skincare regime. It leaves my skin feeling soft and full, and I have never got that horrible tight feeling while using it.

I got this cleanser as a sample for when I bought their foundation. I tried it and loved the clean feeling I get after ward and without the dryness I get with Neutrogena. So I went back and got the regular size. I have been using neutrogena forever, but after i tried this, I stopped using my neutrogena. I have combo skin and this does not dry out my skin at all. It leaves my skin very clean.

Have you actually looked at the ingredients in this product! This isn't even good for your skin.It is awful, makes my face tight and takes the naturals oils out of my skin.I prefer to use a more natural face wash that wont strip the "good" oil out of my skin.

I like this creamy foaming cleanser. Even though it's pricey a tube seems to last forever. It removes makeup, rinses clean and doesn't dry out my skin. I alternate between this and EL Soft Clean (pink tube) depending on the time of the year.

I really don't like this cleanser.
There are two good things I can say about it, 1 - it removes my makeup well, 2 - it doesn't make my skin breakdown or flare up (which is a big thing actually, I can react very badly to cleansers/moisturisers).
But having said that the tight, dry and artificial feeling my skin has after using this is unpleasant and I don't like using this. I would not buy again and I would not recommend.

I have really oily skin, but this face wash takes off my make-up and leaves my skin clean. No break outs and you only need to use a tiny amount. Lasts forever.

i am generally not into estee lauder products cos i always found it to be for the old HAHA. but i decided to try my mom's splash away out of desperation and i must say, I AM TOTALLY AND UTTERLY SHOCKED. IT IS AMMMAYYYZZZIINNGG. it doesn't make me itch one bit , reduced the amount of pimples within a few days, cleans amazingly, and when i touch my face, it feels cool and refreshing. i have very sensitive skin which is sometimes oily at the same time, so i think this cleanser is one of the best ive tried. ive knocked off on lippie cos it is expensive. but i can just ask my mom to buy it for me anyways.

This is my HG foaming cleanser! I used the blue (normal skin) version until a few months ago when I went to re-stock and found they were out, so I chose the green (oily skin) one. I have normal skin but as I have been living in Spain recently and the weather makes my skin oilier I thought no bad thing - a mistake - somehow it just wasn't right for me - skin a bit drier and the odd break out. The blue splash away can not be beaten - it is slightly expensive but lasts me a good 6 months -using it twice daily. I follow up with witch hazel lotion cleanser and my skin is spick and span, no break outs and in tip top condition. It is a rich foam that really gives a perfect cleanse without drying your skin out. I can not recommend this highly enough and can;t believe I will ever be able to do without it. Try it!! I don't think you will be disappointed.

ANY CLEANSER at the drug store will do the same thing. Don't over pay for cleansers because they wash right off!! L'Oreal, Nuetrogena, Noxema, Clearsil (daily face wash) all have the same THICK long lasting foaming cleansers for a fraction of the price. And do you know what it is ladies? SULFATES! Estee Lauder doesn't have anything special or different than the rest of the brands. Every brand has a thick foaming cleanser like this, don't waste your money paying for the name brand.

Splash Away became my go-to cleanser after my favorite cleanser of all time (Face Stockholm Foaming Facial Cleanser) just got too difficult for me to find. I have combo skin that is very break-out prone. This cleanser removes make-up very well without stripping my skin of moisture or aggravating/causing breakouts, but I would think it would be drying for someone whose skin is on the dry side. The product is pretty concentrated and you just need a tiny bit, so a tube lasts awhile. The tube packaging is really convenient -- even for travel -- and I like that I don't have to dip my fingers into a jar and "contaminate" my cleanser. Overall, this is HG for me and is a staple in my skin care products.
