From other reviews, it seems like every year Loreal puts out different colors for Color of Hope. Unfortuntely, they don't give them names either which is pretty ridiculous since you have no way of telling which color we are talking about.
My Color of Hope that I picked up is one of the colors for 2011, has number 531 on the tube in case someone wants to identify this lipstick.
Its dark reddish plum with suble shimmer, can be applied sheerly for daytime or full color for more glamorous nightime look. It lasts fairly long time, creamy and leaves a slight stain.
I used it with lipliner from Jordana, called Cranberry(dark reddish plum color which is a bit darker than this lippie). It makes the color a bit more red and gives you glamorous plum lips with hint of bronze and red.
For reference, I'm cool PPP, with dark hair and blue eyes and find this color quite flattering. I think it would also look good on variety of other colorings.

I apologize for this review for being in the wrong catagory. This revew is for the L'Oreal Color Riche Lipstick.
I have the #108 Glided Pink,it is a peachy/pink-gold tone nude. It's not a "concealer" tone,so it's not yellow. The scent is lovely and it feels great on,and the color is a light to medium tone with a slight shimmer. It almost reminds me of the orgasmn lipgloss by Nars.
If you are looking for a peachy/pink gold toned nude, this lipstick is for you!

Dare I say that this is a very kissable pink? It makes lips look kind of fleshy in a sweet way. 'Sexy' doesn't work that well here...how about 'affectionate' lips? 'Hopeful' lips?
It has a mix of colors both cool and warm that allow a broad range of women to look great in this color, IMHO. It is able to obscure the violet tone in my hyper-pigmented lips. I have never found this color elsewhere - I hope they never discontinue it. I was able to buy it inexpensively at ACW.

Perfectly wearable and flattering color -- I also wish this color was available year-round.

This is my favorite lipstick, I love the color and that my purchase goes to a good cause, ovarian cancer research. I have purchased this every year since L'Oreal starting the Color of Hope campaign a few years ago. I wish they would make it a year round color instead of just October. It's just the perfect shade of mauve for me.
I have tried other Color of Hope products since they started expanding the line, but the original lipstick is still my favorite, and IMHO their best product from the line. Although I do like that every year they try different variations on the original theme, so I will keep trying other items, but I will continue to purchase this beautiful lipstick.

A beautiful rosey mauvish sort of pink... Funny it works for me as I have red hair - but it does. I actually managed to use the entire tube up - which hardly ever happens!

This review is for the 2009 LE shade. It seems that every year, L'Oreal comes up with a LE collection of shades for eyes and lips, with the proceeds going towards cancer research. In past years, it's gone to help fight breast cancer; this year, it's ovarian cancer.
On to the review.
This is a very flattering shade of medium warm pink. Since the drugstore where I bought it does not have testers, I decided to give it a try based on how good it looked on the models in the pictures, Kerry Washington and Eva Longoria, although my coloring is very different from theirs (fair skin, hazel eyes, light brown highlighted with dark blonde hair). And it looks wonderful!
Based on my experience, I think this is a shade which would suit a lot of women.
By the way, I think L'Oreal makes the best drugstore lipstick out there. I usually wear Chanel, Dior and Bobbi Brown, but once in a while I get a pang of conscience (I spent HOW MUCH for that lipstick) and L'Oreal Colour Riche is my go-to brand.

I usually don't wear lipstick, much less DS kind, but after reading about this in several magazines, and the positive reviews on here, I decided to give it a shot. I think I'm in love. I've always been more of a chapstick girl, just because I don' t like the feeling of something heavy and cakey on my lips. Also, most lipsticks tend to dry my lips out. I think I have even tried L'Oreal Color Riche in the past and did not like it. They have clearly changed their formula, and I read that it now contains Argan Oil, which is GREAT for your skin.
It feels like I'm wearing nothing except some balm, but the color looks like my lips are gorge! Definitely MLBB. Too bad it's limited edition. I may have to go buy another one. Even if this shade is no longer available, I know this newly revamped line is a new favey!

I bought the lipstick and the Infallible lip gloss plus two shadow quads in a package deal for 2009 (online at drugstore.com) It was hard to find at the drugstore. I am pretty darn picky about lipstick (too bright! too brown! too frosty! too light! too dark! etc.) but this shade is very flattering on my Asian light to medium tone skin. I think it would be good on many many types of skin tones. I took a chance and bought it online based on the good reviews here and I'm glad I did. Love the Infallible lip gloss in the same shade. Try it! You will be helping a cause and it is a good all-around go-to shade for everyday.
edit: I reduced the lipstick down to 3 lippies. I have since bought the Maybelline Colorsensational lipsticks and much prefer them to the texture of this L'Oreal lipstick. The L'oreal one seems a bit dry.

Love it. It is definitely by HG lip color. I tend to play up my eyes heavily, so this is perfect when applied lightly. Perfect texture, color, staying power, everything! I don't even gloss it most of the time. The tube is adorable too. So cute, it stands out from my other lipsticks.

Well I have been using makeup products since I was 16 and never thought I had not yet purchased the HG of lipcolors until now...this Color of Hope 2008, both in the Infallible and lipstick is GORGEOUS!!! Soooo very flattering that I am trying to scoop up as many as possible and refrigerate for the future. I hope it becomes a staple in the color selection because it rocks!

In my opinion, this is a dupe of MAC's Viva Glam V lipstick. I love it.
***Edit- after wearing this a few times, it is definitely more mauve/purple undertone than mac. Mac is more rose-toned, but still very close. I can pull this off only with a warmer toned nude gloss over the top.
***Edit #2- now that I'm winter-time pale, this lippie is too purple for me. It's going up for swap.

This might be the best natural lipcolor ever. I love this lipstick. It's so moisturizing, but the color is the perfect shade of YLBB. I'm worried that this has been discontinued, but if not, I'll buy this over and over again always.

EDIT: still a gazillion lippies for perfect colour, application etc. 1 lippy now off b/c I think this product has an ingredient that doesn't agree with me.. not sure if it has sunscreen or vitamin A.. whatever it is, my lips are getting irritated. Will still use and update my review.
Original review: If I could give this beeeeautiful lippy 10 stars, I would! Love it! Didn't expect to love it, but OMG it is the most beautiful perfect colour! "Color of HOPE" totally blows every single other lippy or even nude lippy out of the water.
It's like a dusty-ish rose nude with a subtle brown hue and very subtle shimmer. It truly is MLBB.. could be YLBB too! I didn't get that silvery colour other people have mentioned, but I can say this is a cool-toned dusty-rose-nude colour, that's perfect for olive or sallow or cool-undertone skin.
I have a ridiculously difficult time trying to find a nude that isn't too pale or makes my skin look dull or is too frosty or beige or leave some crazy after-colour or dries out my lips or doesn't moisturize. Honestly, this lippy is utter perfection.
The ONLY thing wrong with this Colour of Hope Lipstick, is the fact that it's LE :( --- I must go buy me more to stock up!! Seriously, if you see this in a store, just get it! I would repurchase indefinitely and not stray to any other lippy ever. This truly is my HG.

I really wanted to like this one but guess I was expecting a bit more of the pink to show. Instead brown and silver tones seem to show through, if that makes any sense. But the texture is really nice, it feels moisturizing, and the tube is sooo pretty. It just didn't work for me. I've been on the look out for the perfect blend of pink and brown. The search continues...sigh.
Edit: Okay so I'm adding a lippie because I just applied my CG wetslicks in strawberry splash over top and found that I like it better that way. Glad 'cause I hate to waste anything! But probably still won't buy again 'cause I shouldn't have to layer and layer to get the color I thought I was getting in the first place. (I know , I know ...Goodluck, right?)

This color is a re-release of a LE l/s. It is a pretty plummy/berry muted pink color. The color isn't that unusual and it's certainly not my favorite.
I am a big fan of L'Oreal Colour Riche lipsticks and decided to purchase his color because I have read positive reviews here and also because it benefits breast cancer research. Colour of Hope lipstick comes in a metallic pink tube. I will not repurchase this (if they release it again next year) simply because I have of lipsticks and I don't think I will ever finish this lipstick.

I love this color! A true mauve. So flattering, dark enough to enliven my FFF complexion yet light enough that I don't feel self concious or worry about it smearing or wearing off unevenly. The formula is awesome, I love Colour Riche. The tube is a pretty color. Really just the best.

A gorgeous color that resembles MAC lovechild lipglass. Great everyday plummy, deep pink-neutral. I love this for fall and warm months. Very flattering to my cool undertoned skin, MAC NC25, Brown hair with blonde highlights, blue-eyed face. Moisturizing with a slight sheen. A great shade for a great cause. Go run and get yours today! : )
