My second shot at a Mac Matte. Kinda Sexy is my kind of a vintage nude shade. It's a color that will remind you of Angelina Jolie & Keira Knightley. On me it's a coral nude with peachy-pink undertones. If Wet n Wild's Bare-it-all (my favorite skintone nude) & Just Peachy (a horrible semi-matte peach lippie that cakes on my lips) had a baby, this is it. I love this lippie. It's a very versatile and flattering shade. You can sport this with an everyday natural look, a sweet look, a smoky eye look, a formal or elegant look. Looks fresh and it brightens up my face. Its matte texture adds to the prettiness of this lippie - I like it shine-free on my face. Texture wise, as a matte - it's kinda high maintenance. You need to prep those lips by exfoliating and applying lipbalm to fix the issue of patchy lips. It's creamy and glides like butter, but a bit drying after a while. Never stopped me. I just wish Mac will produce this in Amplified or Amplified Cream finish so I would love this one more.

I am kinda in love with Kinda Sexy.To begin with, it's a deep nude with orange undertones, matte creamy texture, very good colour payoff and staying power, that can be used as an everyday colour but also in nightime with an intense eye make up look.I am dark haired with dark eyes and fair, cool toned skin. This is a nude that would probably look best on warm toned complexions, but I have found a way to make it work for me, by using a warm toned blush and warm toned eye make-up.Warm beiges, peaches, golds, bronzes, warm browns, warm dark greens, or even bold warm toned yellowish and red-ish colours, they work beautifully paired with a warm toned blush and Kinda Sexy. It's really beautiful with winged black eyeliner.I avoid all and any pink on my face with this lipstick, because it tends to make me look as if I have had a bad plastic surgery that resulted to unflattering, unnaturally big lips. When used correctly for me, it gives a retro polished finish, that is very elegant, while making the lips look pouty (hence the name Kinda Sexy I guess?).It is quite creamy and easy to work with, with or without a nude lipliner. It has good staying power, approximately 6 to 7 hours. If I eat, I always reapply, but that I do with every lipstick. However, it is a matte, so it can be drying and enhance any "wrinkles"/lines on the lips. To avoid that, I use a good lipbalm first, before applying Kinda Sexy. I prefer lipbalms with no petroleum/vaselin in. That way it's not drying my lips, and looks velvety. All in all, I find this colour a beautiful nude to create a polished elegant, yet sexy look. Price and packaging is the typical for a Mac lipstick. I will repurchase when it's done.

I've had several tubes of this over the years. It's my all-time favorite Matte from the MAC line. I love nudes, but because I'm fair I have to be careful because some nudes don't work on light skin. Kinda Sexy is a warm pink/nude I adore. The last two or three Kinda Sexy lipsticks I actually got for free through the Back-to-MAC recycling program, but I purchased my first one. I prefer this color to Velvet Teddy, which is beautiful but a little too brown for me and this one combines peach and pink and nude tones, making it a perfect daily shade. It's not as light as Myth, which just looks like concealer on my lips. The Mattes are not as moisturizing as their thinner, glossier textures such as Cremesheen lipstick, but the trade-off is that Mattes stay on longer, and if you do want more moisture, you can always top it with a gloss. Kinda Sexy has enough color that it's okay to skip lip liner if your pencil runs out or you're in a hurry. But for years MAC Spice was my favorite liner to put with it. Staunchly Stylish lip liner is rosier and is an interesting shimmer shade of lip pencil that doesn't give you a hard line. I'm impressed with how long that one lasts.Lately I've been buying from Charlotte Tilbury instead of MAC because her lipsticks are similar to some of MAC's, and her brand is still new and independent and doesn't do animal testing. I hope she never gets swallowed up by mega corporate Estee Lauder which destroyed some of the things I loved about MAC in the 90s. After a decade of MAC Spice liner, I switched to Tilbury's Pillow Talk, which is a bit more pink and matches my lips perfectly. But I was a MAC girl for years and years. If you're going to buy from MAC, Kinda Sexy is flattering on many light-to-medium complexions, and I've even seen this color work for deep skin tones (leaning pale rosy peach on darker skin). It's definitely worth a look. One of my top five favorite shades from this brand. My ideal matte shade.

Bought this after watching a good review on YouTube. Sadly, the shade doesn't complement my complexion. It blends too closely with my skin colour such that it fades me out. The texture is matte but not drying. The overall effect is a vintage Bridget Bardot look.

I bought this as a 'panic buy' when I was in store as I had a voucher to use. I knew I wanted Velvet Teddy but asked the guy assisting me what he recommended as a natural holiday colour for my second choice. I was overwhelmed when he showed me about 7 different shades that all looked very similar so I pretty much just closed my eyes point and said 'that one'.On leaving the shop I looked at the product I had just bought and compared it to my Velvet Teddy and I was so disappointed as I they look so similar in the tube! I thought I'd just bought a dupe of the same lipstick.HOWEVER... when I got home and tried this on - pairing it with my fav Soar liner - I was amazed! This colour is so fresh, natural and really brightened my face! It looks totally different to velvet teddy when it's on. Matte has always been my favourite finish at MAC and this one doesn't disappoint. It lasts for ages! I always find I need to re-apply at around lunch time but that's after a couple of coffee's.Will definitely be re-purchasing after I've used all this & I can't see it being long as it's my 'go to' shade now.

This is my second Mac lipstick and I got this from the airport in taxfree price, so it was 17€. The Mac employee did not recommend matte finish lip products for my dry and patchy lips but I ignored it and bought this. Unlike most lip products, this doesn't settle into the dry parts on my lips and accentuate them at all! It starts to feel drying after a few hours but so does everything I've tried so far. This is super fun to apply as it slides evenly on my lips and looks silky smooth. I love the color and matte finish, this became one of my favorite make up products ever. The quality is amazing

I really like this lipstick for the most part. Keeping in mind that it is a matte finish, the formula doesn't feel dry or cakey on the lips at all, and is actually quite comfortable to wear. Depending on your undertones, this lipstick may pull a little orange on you, but in saying that it still doesn't look bad. Wouldn't repurchase this, as it is not a HG for me, but it is a nice colour and formula if you are looking to try something from Mac :)

I seem to have had an awful time picking out MAC lipsticks that look good on me! I am blonde, blue-eyed and have pretty neutral skin that is fair-medium. This lipstick sucks the life right out of my face. It pulls completely nude (not pinky-nude, like my lip color, but just plain sand colored) on me, and washes me out pretty badly. Just a case of needing to try this in person and not just order it online. I did the same with MAC Please Me and it was also horrible on me. I've had better luck with MAC's Velvet Teddy and Plumful (I'm wearing Velvet Teddy in the only picture I have on my profile). This probably looks lovely on darker skinned ladies, or even lighter skinned ladies...I seem to be stuck too much in the middle for it.

The search is over.. This color really meets my expectation on nude-pink-not so bright on medium skin tones. Yes, this product is transferrable, while its not be a serious problem since this isnt liptint, quite long wearing, you need to retouch after 2 times eating a whole meal. Comparing with MUFE, this product is more pigmented

I was on the hunt to find the perfect nude lip and i believe i found it. I wear 3mac products ,stripdown lipliner ,kinda sexy and coincidence in macs lipglass. After adding the products i press my lips onto a tissue. The best i can describe the look it gives me is that natural pouty Keira knightly lip.I love this combination, even my husband commented how sexy my lips looked :) i hope this helps anyone who is looking for a great natural lip.
