This is a great product. I use it as a foundation base and a moisturiser. My skin is combinational and there are spots of the face, where my skin is very dry and sometime when applying foundation that part looks flaky. However, with this base my skin gets enough moisture and acts as a glue to the foundation and my skin looks better than before. I would definitely buy this again

If you are acne prone/oily, this is probably the best Bobbi Brown moisturizer for me. I've been using it for about a month now, at night and during the day under my makeup. I've seen a massive improvement in my skin, in fact, this surprisingly has been one of the best products I've ever used as far as getting rid of acne (mild). Simplicity is key when it really comes down to it!

Great primer, but not sure if it hydrates enough

I bought this Moisturizer once because I consider Bobbi Brown a very good cosmetic brand and i love the products, but all the BB skincare products ive tried are not that good, i think are expensive and the quality is not the best. About this cream doesn have SPF, absorbs quickly and its not oily but for the price i expect more, I didnt buy it again,

Finally, I have found a good daytime moisturiser! After Kiehl's discontinued their Lycopene face cream, I was devastated. Enter a few years of fumbling around trying different products, and this one landed in my lap.

I think I have thing for lycopene products - they just work so well on me, because this Face Base has lycopene too! It is quite thick in texture, but spreads out easily once you put it on your face - oh, and it smells absolutely divine! It's like vitamin-y candy fruity goodness on my face, every morning. With toner underneath, and sometimes an "essence" of sorts, this really keeps my skin very well hydrated, and FLAKE FREE! I used to have to worry about flaky skin after applying foundation sometimes, but this is no longer the case! I use this in the winter AND the summer, too - it's so good at balancing between hydration vs. grease/oil that I don't find this too heavy in the summer, yet it still holds up against the harsh winters. FYI I used this in the summer in Asia where it was humid and hot, in London where it never got warmer than 30 degrees, and it was fine in both places!

Love this - I'm on my second jar, and will be stocking up on my third the next time I swing through an airport duty-free. It is a bit pricey, but totally worth it if you have dry, prone-to-flaky skin like me!

I AM A BOBBI BROWN FREELANCE MAKEUP ARTIST. For those of you using this as your only moisturizer, but says this doesn't work, that's because THIS IS NOT A MOISTURIZER,, THIS IS A MAKEUP PRIMER. This is used AFTER your moisturizer, but BEFORE your makeup application. Its used to fill in lines and have your makeup last.

Bought this after seein so many rave reviews on it. But it really didn't quite work for me. The scent is nice but it doesn;t seem to make my makeup last very much longer. Now, I use this as my day moisturiser instead and use Shu Uemura's UV underbase mouse and my make up goes on so much better and the staying power is also improved.

I loved the smell and feel of this, but it made my face break out for the first time in twenty years -- I kept hoping it was something else that was causing the problem, because I so enjoyed the smell of this, so I stopped using my Philosophy Microdermabrasion peel, though it had never caused breakouts before, switched night creams, etc., but the breakouts kept happening (and always at the most embarrassing times, of course, like when I had some big party to attend), so I am reluctantly throwing this out. Bobbi Brown says it's for all skin types, but judging from some other reviews here I'd say it just isn't meant for combination skins.

I now have to edit this review, as I realized it might be my Urban Decay primer, not this, that was making my face break out! I read some reviews of the UD primer that complained of breakouts, and realized I had started using them both at the same time...
