I love the smell and the feel of this product on my skin. Expensive but worth it.

This stuff is amazing. I have a problem with having itchy skin and it's disappeared since I've been using this. It is very thick, especially good for the winter. The smell is very natural and soothing. It's expensive, but well worth it. It tend to clump up if you use too much, so keep a light hand during application. It's wonderful but too expensive which is why I wouldn't buy it again.

I love this cream!!! Smells Heavenly. It is thick, but great for winter. And it sinks in right away. I fell in love with it when I got a hand massage at an Aveda store. They even gave me a sample, in a little bottle. Let me tell you once it runs out, I am running to get some more. I think I like the smell, more than the hand creme from Aveda, which is also nice. Regardless, this is expensive, and would be more of a "treat yourself" kind of purchase, but I am addicted now....and I have a feeling it will last a while, like most other Aveda products.

This is my favorite Aveda line. It's exquisite, thick, the smell is intoxicating, it protects and moistens my skin ALL day. My skin has actually been breakin out a lot less since I started using this(yes I DID formerly have body acne). That's not it's purpse, but the lack of chemicals, and abundance of healthy ingredients just make it so! The reviewer below me is right, price may be a tad over fair.

Very thick, smells good, but I'm just not sold on the quality for the price. I mix this w/an unscented Lubriderm, to help it apply easier. I doubt I will re-purchase.

I had my hair colored, and while waiting for the color to process, they sat me down and massaged my hands and arms with this. So that is why I bought it. After I got home with it, I decided it smelled extremely bad. After I've rubbed it on it smells like pepper. As a moisturizer it works alright. Very thick, takes a few minutes to penetrate. And stinks. Well....the scent DOES last and last, but that's not a good thing to MY nose!

I'm sorry to say that this is horrid smelling on me. It smells almost exactly like a citranella (bug killing) candle. I gave it two lipsticks because it feels luxurious and truly softens my skin, however I can not ever repurchase, I can't even use what I have......worst I've ever had as far as fragrance :(

I'm in the process of working my way through all the treatments at my local Aveda spa (what can I say, I'm a hobbyist), and the one that uses this cream at the end is totally decadent. It's a combination of mango and cocoa butters, so expect your skin to glow when this sinks in -- whether you're doing the slathering or someone else is doing it for you. Plus I love that it's not a Coppertone type of beach smell. It's much more earthy and subtle.
$26 for a 6.7 oz tube. continued >>

This creme is very rich and is fantastic during winter months. It's great for moisturizing the legs after shaving or epilation. My only two concerns with this product are the price and scent.I got a tube as a gift, and I myself would never pay $26 for a body moisturizer. As for the scent-it seems pleasant at first, but than it turns kinda sour and basically stinks.I'm sure it's just me and my sinuses, but I won't be repurchasing this product.

One of my favorite body moisturizers. This is a thick, rich, butter-like cream that moisturizes my dry skin really well. It's got mango and cocoa butters that are intensively conditioning and nourishing. I don't find it greasy or hard to spread and you only need a little of it. I absolutely love the scent, which is a luxurious island aroma of amyris, bay, vetiver and lime. It's such a gorgeous and comforting scent that makes you feel like you've just stepped out of a spa.

I am a huge fan of this line, i have the flower water, the bath soak and the body lotion, the scent is fantastic, fresh, herbal and tropical but like the other reviewers said, not 'fantasy island tropical' just like you are in a tropical location and that is what it smells like in the rainforest. This lotion is SO thick that when you try to squeeze it you really have to work at it, amost like a body butter without the awful mess of a jar. Great consistency, thick, rich and hydrating, i did not find it overly greasy. The scent is subtle and does not linger (i wish it would) even layered wiht the flower water, it still is only around for a short time, but leaves nice soft skin behind. I will be soaking in the bath soak as soon as i can find the time... can not wait for my 'caribbean getaway' i will have a mai tai on teh side of the bathtub to complete the illusion...

I have a sample but would not purchase because it is too greasy. However, that does not stop me from getting Aveda's Caribbean spa treatment when they slather it on the body at the end!

This was a gift, but I would buy it again. It smells so natural and subtle and so unique that I really love it. There is nothing artifical about it, and it wonderfully creamy and rich. It sinks in beautifully. I'm not good at describing fragrances, so please see the other reviews for that. I really hope these Caribbean Therapy products stick around and aren't pulled, because I love them.

Actually, I was given this with the Bath Soak as a gift by my dear BF :) He's generally really good at figuring out what I like and he hit it out of the park with this one. "Caribbean Therapy" is not a typical tropical scent (the usual pineapples/coconut/ocean breeze nonsense). It is earthy and herbal, with bay rum, lime and maybe brown sugar and mango in it. Not girly, delicate or "pretty" at all, just spicy, bold and fresh. This is a thick, light brown cream that comes in a squeeze tube. It doesn't dispense all that easily, since the cream is so thick and can clog up the opening, but I can deal with it. It takes a bit of rubbing to get it to absorb, but it makes skin feel velvety afterwards. Scent lasts for a good few hours as well. Maybe I won't repurchase myself, but I'll def. angle for a refill when I've used up the tube :) continued >>

I received a sample of this at Aveda. I was excited seeing the word "Caribbean" on the product, thinking it would smell tropical, like coconuts and/or pineapples, but it doesn't. This creme doesn't smell very good at all. However, it *is* very moisturizing. The only problem I had (aside from the fragrance) is that when I rubbed it in, it didn't rub in all the way, and left brown, sticky globs on my skin. I wouldn't purchase.

Ok this is moisturizing, but for a body cream it smells horrible, I can't stand the way i smell when i have this on so I wont re purchase.

Wow, this stuff is great. It's not cheap at $24, but it really healed my dry cracked hands. Lovely smell, like the Aveda Pure-fume. Not a tropical smell at all, as noted by a previous reviewer. Delicious and creamy, highly recommend.

This is a thick, rich body butter packed in a convenient squeeze tube. Does a great job of hydrating and softening my dry winter skin, absorbs quickly and isn't greasy at all. Not a very tropical smell as the name may indicate....I do detect a slight mango-y scent mixed in with Aveda's signature scent. Very expensive at $24...I said I would repurchase because it's not a bad product, but I suspect I could find something that works the same for a lot less.

I got a sample at my salon and used it the other day. I have been using emu oil lotion for years. This light brown lotion is very thick and creamy. It works very well into the skin and leaves no oily or sticky residue and smells nice. I like the tube which keeps the cream free from contaminants. I must say that I do notice my hands feeling softer and smoother after 2 applications. I will probably buy this again after I use up my other hand cream. Only down side is the price.
