I love this body wash!! I didn't think it would do much because most body washes don't generally improve my skin but just made it clean but wow!! this really does moisturize and make my skin feel silky soft, doesn't break me in fact it soothes breakouts and it smells super clean to me. perfect for putting on a scented lotion after because it doesn't clash with other scents! repurchasing :)

I absolutely LOVE this product, and all Aveeno products for that matter. The smell is amazing, so calming and rejuvenating. When I am older and have a family and a job and lots of stress I will have a set of Aveeno products on hand (like a huge basket, lol) and make my husband take the kids out for the day so I can just have a spa day for myself. xD I'm serious, you know how certain smells can take you back to a certain time that can either give off an amazing feeling or a horrible one? Well Aveeno for me is that amazing one. I don't even know what it reminds me of but I feel great after I use it and so calm. At Wal-Mart this product is about $5.00 but, I would say for how it makes me feel it is worth every last penny!

this is amazing. i first used this a few years ago at a camping trip when i had forgotten my body wash, a friend gave me the small bottle, i was in love but never purchased the full size until now. i adore the scent it brings me back to the camping trip memories again. it's wonderful, and i've never used any body wash/soap that leaves my skin wonderfully smooth i can skip lotion all together! seeing the reviews i may try this for my hair as well.

This was suggested to me by my dermatologist and also rated as a "best" product on Paula's Choice reviews. I have to agree with both of them, this has really helped the eczema on my legs. Even in the mid-west winter! I hop in the shower all itchy and dry, use this and instantly my skin feels better. MUCH better. Good for a nice soak, too. I also get acne on my chest and back pretty easily but over the course of three months my skin has improved greatly, so no complaints there! The only thing that bothers me is the smell. It's very medicinal and that is a bit of a let-down because of how moisturizing this wash is, it even helps with shaving underarms. Worse, the scent can linger in the more, ahem, personal regions of the body. There's almost a Vick's quality to it and it pretty much the scent equivalent to orthopedic shoes. Otherwise, excellent cleanser. I will try others by Aveeno because of the scent, but am willing to return if I need to.

PROS:
Good for dry, itchy skin. Even eczema skin.
Doesn't break me out on chest or back
really does moisturize, even my husband noticed
Easy to find at most grocery/drug stores
Improves shaving comfort on both legs and underarms

CONS:
Smells medicinal and the scent lingers in unwelcome places

Nice moisturizing body wash even with our cold and dry winter. The scent is fresh and not too strong at all. It's also very inexpensive. Will buy again.

I have been using the skin relief body wash for few years and thought why not give this version a try since my skin is getting dryer during the change of weather. But after using for two nights my skin is actually dryer than usual and my chest and back are starting to have little pimples…and the smell of this i find very unpleasant and strong…even my mom was complaining about the smell when i come out of my shower…will stick with the skin relief one from now on…!!

UPDATE: 11/14/12. This product has become my go-to cleanser--I even use it on my face without issues, and have used it on my hair (which works, but it takes a long time for your hair to dry).

My skin is very sensitive, and I use this off and on to get my dry skin back into balance. It smells good (kind of a unisex smell) and is very soothing to the skin. I also wash my dog in it, and it works great for is itchy skin.

I use the knock-off version, which works great for about 1/2 the price. In the winter I switch it out for Aveeno Skin Relief body wash.

Love it!

This review is for the Daily Moisturizing Body Wash.

Alrighty, so I actually use this as a shampoo as well as body wash and it's AMAZING!! I suffer from extremely dry/itchy scalp and dry skin (it's very dry where I live and I have very sensitive skin) and as soon as this creamy substance touched my scalp I knew it was the start of a beautiful friendship :). The body wash was soothing to my scalp and it spread very nicely and my hair wasn't that difficult to comb out later. I did not use conditioner (it's hard for me to find one that has non-irritating ingredients and isn't swimming in fragrance!) and my hair was soft and smooth. My scalp wasn't itchy and when I rinsed the product out of my hair it wasn't squeaky clean/dry as a bone/tangled to all goodness but it wasn't coated either. It just felt clean and what I imagine hair should feel like after washing it.

In another, sort-of-related topic but also slightly tangential, I don't like sulfate-free shampoos or body washes. I prefer SLES because the ones that use ingredients like decyl glucose or lauryl glucose tend to use many more surfactants (those ingredients that clean the hair/scalp) and I end up with a very dry, very stripped and very irritated scalp and very tangled hair. I've done some research and each of those sulfate-free ingredients are not irritating themselves but maybe having so many in one product makes it irritating for me. Those sulfate-free shampoos also are harder to spread around the scalp and so I end up having to lather more than once, sometimes more than twice. And just to be clear, even SLES has natural sources (coconut) the same as decyl glucose and other "natural" ingredients but it isn't the same thing as putting an actual coconut on your head. [And just something to know, just because it's natural doesn't mean it's good for you. Arsenic is natural. So is poison ivy! And don't even get me started on essential oils--the bane of my existence in terms of cosmetic/body care products! I remember when The Body Shop sales people were so adamant about not putting essential oils on your skin! And now they're in so many "natural" products. For many people they have no problem but for people like me who react to the slightest thing it's kind of a pain...and pretty smelly too.]

I also appreciate that this product has no formaldehyde-releasing preservatives. Not that I think they're going to kill me slowly or cause cancer or anything but anything that could potentially irritate my skin isn't what I'd like to be putting ON my skin.

So, in conclusion, I'd like to recommend this product. It does have fragrance but it is listed as the very last ingredient and I had no adverse reaction to it. I haven't actually used it as a body wash yet but I did use it on my face and it was just fine.
So far, so good! Yay!!!!

In the past I've used Olay and Dove body washes, but they all left my skin feeling dry and itchy. There was a $2 coupon for Aveeno so I decided to give it a try. Everyone's tastes differ, but I absolutely love the scent, and it feels very luxurious and moisturizing. I just started using black soap on my arms for my KP, and it's pretty drying, so I follow that with the Aveeno body wash on a Salux cloth. My elderly mother needs help with her bathing and has very dry skin, so I've been using it on her as a body wash and as a shampoo. I'm now on my fourth bottle, and I hope they never change the formula or scent. It can be pricey, but I usually get it at Walmart, and it's a bit cheaper there.

My favourite body wash hands down... creamy and rich to apply but doesn't leave any residue or feel greasy or sticky at all and very cleansing but not drying. Smells nice without being overfragranced and I always use a bit too much I think with every wash because I just love it so much. A little pricey but I find I don't have to use as much moisturiser on my body when I've used this to wash as it's not drying at all (I still have to use some on my legs as I have extremely dry legs). I also use this when shaving my legs (don't like shaving gels/creams) and it works perfectly. Great product!
