One of my favourite brush of all time! The hair is squirrel hair, it's so soft and silky. I use it to blending. It works really well. Worth every penny!

Probably the only thing I love about smashbox is their brushes. Great quality and they really work. This one doesn't waste product at all. Other brushes I have to swipe again and again for them to grab the product. Not this one. Applies and blends my blush and my powder perfectly.

i love this brush! i got one when it first came out years and years ago on ebay for about £10?! i didnt use it much at all and ended up throwing it away, i dont know what i was thinking really.
i recently started using a powder sunscreen and wanted a nice brush to apply it with. i searched for the #19 brush and found one on justbeautydirect (official uk smashbox stockist) for almost half of what theyre going for elsewhere.
this brush is lovely and just as i remember my first one. its basically a long handled kabuki brush. its soft (even after washing), very dense, applies and buffs powders brilliantly and from what ive seen it doesnt shed. couldnt be happier and i wouldnt dream of throwing out this brush again!

I had the brush with the cute pink handle but was very disappointed! The brush head broke off within 4 washes, the brush felt scratchy on my face, it shedded and didn't apply my powders nicely. I was pretty annoyed considering I payed quite a lot for it and not only did it hurt my face but it broke after just 4 washes. Put me off wanting to try any other smashbox products.

This brush is crazy expensive! But when I managed to save up for this brush and buy it I realized it was totally worth it (just dont tell anyone the amount you spent on it cuz they will think you are literlly crazy). I have never had a brush apply makeup to my faceup as well as this brush does. I use it for blush only. It makes it go on perfectly blended and not to caked like some brushes do.

I have the one with the pink handle (I couldn't resist - it's so cute!) and am generally really happy with this brush. I use it to apply powder and it applies it nice and thinly...so it doesn't look heavey or cakey. Doesn't feel scratchy on my skin and I haven't experienced any shedding.

I think this is one of those brushes that due to the cost, you might hesitate to buy it. But after you do, you are glad that you did! I really like this brush---fat & sturdy. Kind of heavy too. I use this to gently buff strong colors onto my cheeks----and end up with soft, pretty results. I could see using this to apply bronzer (I don't do bronzer, it just isn't for me) but I think that this tool, while it is expensive, could have many uses. I also use this to buff my face after applying loose powder. So I think this is a very nice, versatile tool. I would hate to lose it but I like it enough that I would repurchase it if I had to. continued >>

I love this brush. It is sturdy, well made, doesn't shed & puts on my bronzer / blush beautifully. The barrel is pretty big & takes up alot of room in my brush holder but it's so cute & fat. I love how the bristles are soft & dense. Some brushes just look big & fat but don't have enough bristles, but not this one. continued >>

RIS and I love this brush! Its super soft, never sheds and handles beautifully.I thought it might be a tad too large when I first got it but its the perfect size to apply mineral foundation and to buff in loose powder.I would buy again if I ever needed to but I doubt I will cos I can see this lasting forever.

Love this flattop it's full and soft with a longer handle. I use it to buff out my setting powder and blush if I've been to heavy handed.

this is my favorite brush to apply body products like shimmers or bronzers or oils. It is fatttttt and heavy (which is the only thing I find fault with, it might be too heavy).
However, the bristles or brush itself is fabulous -- thick and does a wonderful job for application and buffing of larger areas. I have one which I use on the face and one for the body. The one for the face is generally to really really buff out any products and achieve a very minimal but airbrused look.

Smashbox makes great brushes so I decided to get the face and body brush. The hairs on the brush are very dense and never shed. If you are using this for any non-mineral powder, then this is a great brush. But if you are using this for mineral makeup, you may feel the slight roughness when you buff your mineral makeup on. Just try not to buff so hard, when using this brush.

i was a little disappointed with this brush, perhaps my expectations were too high.
i love love love the nars bronzing brush APART from the fact you feel like you could be doing a mini exfoliation, haha, its a lil on the rough side but buffs to perfection!!! i thought smashbox 19 would do the same but with a softer feel! i realise that the slight roghness of nars is what makes it so good.
as a stand alone brush, and not comparing it to NARS its a nice brush. its very soft and feels great ont he skin, it will also give a nice finish to loose powders. it reminds me of the bobbi brown kabuki in terms of how it blends, the handle length gives great control. its an OK brush... with a luxurious feel...its very solid and you feel in total control. to give it a tighter feel i took a hair band wrapped it around the handle as many times as it would go and gently slid the band to around the middle of the brush shaft creating a very very dense brush head.... it buffs magically now it has been revamped. if that makes ANY sense, lol...

I LOVE THIS BRUSH! Seriously. I use a #19 for applying powder, blush and bronzer and it does an amazing job. By far, my favourite, most versatile face brush. It is very soft and fluffy and I've had no problems with shedding at all. The bristles are densely packed and give the most seamless application of powder makeup (which is what I use it for.) Definitely a great brush, would repurchase!

I LOVE THIS BRUSH!!! This brush is wonderfully dense and super, super, super soft and buffs in my mineral foundation to a flawless finish without using too much product. This brush is a long handle kabuki brush, has a beautiful red lacquer wood handle which gives this brush a unique, classy and elegant look and is well worth the retail price of $52.00. However, I purchased this brush on e-bay for $23.99 (including S&H) and it has become one of my HG of makeup brushes. Also, I would recommend you use conditioner on this brush after your deep clean it to maintains the brush's softness -- your skin will love you for the extra effort.

In short, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this brush and often wonder how I lived without it for so long but I am just so happy that I no longer have to do so. continued >>

I bought this brush to apply MAC Studio Fix. It does not give smooth or consistent coverage, and it's so large and fluffy that it's not good for buffing either. I still have it because I spent so much on it that I don't want to toss it- maybe I will swap it to someone who likes it.

I think this brush would be ok for applying light powder to set foundation, but if you want any kind of coverage or smoothing this is not the brush.

I have had it for a year and it still sheds occasionally, which is I think ridiculous, especially for a $52 brush!

I Love this brush now that I finally figured out what to use it for. I got this brush (the pink handled one) in a set at Costco probably about two years ago. Because it is so big, I never used it and it has been sitting in my traincase. I read on MUA to use it as a bronzer brush. At first, I was kind of freaked out because it looked like it applied a ton of bronzer. Once I started buffing it out, it gave me the most perfect believable, seamless, bronzed look ever. I guess it works so well because the bristles are so densely packed. This brush is quite pricey but it is totally worth it.

I really adore this brush...I only paid $25 CAN including shipping so it was a good deal for me. The pink is just gorgeous..The brush itself seems to have the right amount of density/softness:).

I washed it and no dye came off mine:) No shedding hairs either. Just gorgeous!
