Does not work for stretch marks, I've been using it rigorously for my whole entire pregnancy and although it smells good it didn't do anything to prevent them or fade them after pregnancy.

I started using Palmer's Tummy Butter when I was about 3 months pregnant (Oct-ish of 2009). I used it EVERY day up to when I gave birth. However, I ended up getting the Stretch Mark Lotion from Palmers for random times throughout the day when I would start to feel an itch, or was just too lazy to use this Butter (The Tummy Butter would take about 5-10 mins to rub in and then at least 10 to soak in).

The lotion soaked in A LOT faster, but the moisturized feeling didn't last as long.. I mostly used it to prevent all of the itching that goes along with the growing stomach. I would apply it a couple times a day. More like 5 or 8 times a day at the 9 month mark... If the moisture would have lasted longer I would give it a better rating. The only thing I really didn't like was the smell..

I think I went through 3 bottles of it, and I still got stretch marks..They didn't start to show up until I was around 7.5 months along, but then all of a sudden BAM, they were everywhere. I've always been skinny, and my skin just hit it's breaking point. (In the rear view mirror, I should have started using Bio Oil around 5 or 6 months along. The result would have been a lot better)

I can honestly say that this lotion did help to prevent some stretch marks, as in it could have been a lot worse. I only got them under my belly button, and a little on my hips. I have very fair skin, and most women that have a fair complexion tend to get more/darker stretch marks.

Well this stuff doesnt really workk.. It' has a bad smell and like I think this didn't have a great affect on me.. It' stays on your skin but it's not as thick as the actual cream.. This fades away after a few min..

I got this as a sample after buying a few other products and whilst it wasn't used for what it was intended (stretch marks, etc.) I found it the only moisturiser/cream that SIGNIFICANTLY reduced my burn mark from my eyelash curler which hadn't eased its irritation and redness for over a month and a half. From having a bright red line under my eye to practically nothing- I would absolutely recommend this as a heavy duty moisturiser.

This stuff smells bad! And it does nothing for my stretch marks. I have used up quite a bit of this stuff and still no results for helping my stretch marks at all. Not impressed.

I must say I cannot stand the smell of palmers coco butter but when I was pregnant I put up with the smell and I used the streth mark cream even though I did not have any before I was pregnant and well i never got any either, I know it can be down to your genes and skin's elasticity but I would def use this again if i was pregnant again.

This lotion is moisturising, it applies evenly, and isn't terribly sticky, but it does nothing for stretch marks. I found the smell pleasant, but my husband hated it. It's cheap compared to other products that help with stretch marks, but it does not work nearly as well. Mustella, Mederma, or plain old vitamin E tablets work a lot better, and aren't as sticky.

If you continue to use this product without stopping it will prevent and diminish the appearance of stretch marks. Stretch marks will never magically go away. I happen to get them from a growth spurt. I used to be the shortest girl in middle school but since high school I had a growth stunt. It sucks but at least my stretch marks are hidden. Don't do any yo yo dieting that dramatically change your weight that may cause it too. Always put on lotion on your skin to give it elasticity before you exercise, other wise exercising excessively may cause stretchmarks

I've been using this for a few weeks now and I do like it.I use it all over my body.
REVIEW OF PRODUCT:
-blends well
-skin feels a tiny bit tacky after application, but not horribly so
-Smell is not so great -smells "chemically" to me
would repurchase

This hasn't done anything for stretchmarks, although mine are old and mostly faded. It's not the best at moisturizing (it contains 2 different types of alcohol). The smell takes some getting used to (cocoa + shea butter). It has a creamy consistency. I love some of Palmer's other products, especially the Swivel Stick, but the Massage Lotion for Stretch Marks was a miss for me. It also contains Parabens. I won't be purchasing this again.

The smell of this product is disgusting. I tried it once, and immediately threw the container into the trash.

First off let me say how sorry I am to all the ladies this didn't work for, Im sure there is a cream out there that can help & as a nurse I can tell you that they will at least lessen over time. Sadly it is true that whether you get stretch marks or not is dictated by your genes, but keeping your skin well moisturized does lessen the damage.

I started using this lotion when I was 13 weeks pregnant as I was worried about stretch marks, although I am quite tall (5'9") I am a very slim build & at 13 weeks already had quite a baby bump. I massaged this lotion onto my stomach, thighs, hips & breasts morning & night all through my pregnancy. My husband also gave me massages with it & it was a wonderful bonding experience for my husband, baby & I. If the only good thing to come out of it was how much time we spent bonding & touching our baby before she was born it was more than worth it. But I also didn't get a single stretch mark through my entire pregnancy, & by 40 weeks my baby bump was enormous - I looked like I was going to burst. After my daughter was born I continued using this Palmer's lotion morning & night & still didn't have any stretch marks. My daughter is 8 months old now, I have no stretch marks & Im still using this lotion at night. I also have been rubbing it on my c-section scar & it has healed remarkably well, I could not be happier.

I would say that I disliked the smell at first & was worried about putting it on my skin as it became extremely sensitive during pregnancy (I had to use baby bath as a cleanser & couldn't wear eye make-up) but the Palmer's lotion never irritated my skin & felt beautiful on. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again or to recommend it to anybody else. continued >>

I'm overweight and most of the pounds I've gained are in my belly (I hate iiittt!!!) anyways... I noticed that I was getting a few stretch marks and I saw this lotion in the supermarket and bought it without thinking twice, it doesn't smell as good as the body lotion, you know like chocolate-cocoa butter, but the scent is not bothering for me -and I'm really sensitive to smells- ... the important thing is that THIS WORKS... back when I bought it I used it daily and even though my strectch marks didn't dissapeared completely, they are now unnoticeable and what's better I didn't get more stretch marks... I still have some left from that bottle -and I bought it last may- and use it from time to time, but I will buy a new bottle when I finish this one because it is so good! I totally recommend this.

I LOVE THIS! It's not so great on removing stretch marks - but its such an intense moisturiser I use it anyway and it makes my skin really soft.
It's great even for those with sensitive skin like myself, a little goes a long way, comes in a handy pump container. For stretch mark reduction I give it a 2, but as an intense moisturiser I give it a 5!

First, the only way for you not to get stretch marks is if your mom didn't get any while she was pregnant. It's in your DNA.
But, as a preventative and soothing factor, the stretch mark lotion can come in handy. I like Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula and I use it in the concetrated cream version. I feel like it really moisturizes and has a nice thick consistency. So far, I haven't gotten any stretch marks. Also, rubbing your belly helps massage and soothes your skin from all the pulling so in effect, it does help a bit.

I am WICKED ALLERGIC to this product. And, I typically have bullet proof skin..not sensitive AT ALL. First time I put this on, I got a fine red rash so I put it aside and forgot about it. Then about a year ago, I needed something to help some newly acquired stretch marks and I picked this up again..forgetting about my earlier run in with it. OMG I had a huge blistered red weepy rash EVERYWHERE I put this...it was NOT pretty! So, now I avoid anything that says "stretchmark or elastin" anywhere on the bottle...I'd rather just live with the stretchmarks.
