I will never know because I have never received the product and customer service does not answer my emails. I have literally sent 10 emails and have called and have never gotten a return call and or email. Bad customer service. I will be having to dispute my charge../be careful

I've only had this product for a few days so I can't speak for long term results, but I do notice plumping and smoothing when I put it on - my lips feel odd and a little swollen (well duh) like I've just eaten something I might be allergic to, but nothing terrible. My product is the "Advanced formula clear" - it is definitely not runny, anything but. I'm already wondering "is there anything IN this tube" because it's so thick it doesn't seem to sink into the sponge applicator well at all. It's really sticky but on the plus, has good staying power. I found that going directly to the City Cosmetics website was less expensive - about $27 per tube, they also offered the original formula for $25.

I'm not sure what people are talking about with the "samples". This company doesn't offer samples.
I think people are mistaking them with something else. Because as far as the City Lips I use.. It's the best lip plumper I've tried!
I've been using it for 3 months now and all I can say is "WOW". I wish I could post before and after pictures to show you guys the results I’m getting because I’m really impressed. The instant plump is good as in it really clean us the lines around your lips and does make them a little fuller. Though after 3 weeks is when I really started to see results. Then my lips become much, much fuller. With the lines gone and the extra plump my lips look amazing. I think they make me look younger overall and when I see models in magazines, I'm no longer jealous of their lips.. haha! And.. It gets better.. I have friends who got lip injections and I prefer the way my lips look over theirs ; ) The injection plump just doesn't look natural. My lips do ; )
The only thing about City Lips I don't like, is the price. It's expensive. Though it's still MUCH, MUCH cheaper than lip injections so I think it's worth it.

This just doesn't work. I got a sample of this and would never spend money on it.

So i wasnt really expecting this product to plump my lips, all i really wanted was a product that would help diminish the creases/line on my lips and this product did that and with that i am very pleased with this product. it is not sticky, it does moisturize your lips and my boyfriend complimented me a few times on how nice my lips were looking :))) so no youre not going to get huge plump lips but if youre looking to get rid of those unsightly lip lines then go for it. also i bought the original formula, and the price isnt the greatest...

If you can still find this, it seriously works! You have to be good with applying it daily though, night and morning. After about 3 weeks you will notice plumped up lips! If you quit using it, ur lips will slowly go back to normal. I've stopped using it since it was expensive and my lips weren't thin to begin with, but I def did see results!

I received a sample packet of this, so I don't know about the packaging. You don't need much so I was able to use the packet for several days. It turned my lips a scary blood red, but did not plump my lips.

Horrible product! I mainly wanted this for the color, it was Plum Springs, but it didn't even show up on my lips! Thankfully I got a mini size...I ended up tossing it.
Upon application my lips felt tingly, and progressed to a severe burning sensation that lasted for 1/2 hour. I'm sorry but this is not worth the minimal "plumping" effect. Sally Hanson has a much nicer one that doesn't burn.

I've been using this forever and its HG staple material for me. can't live without it. I really didn't think it was doing anything, but continued to use it at night because it moisturizes my lips like no other. Then I went on a trip and forgot it. My lips definitely suffered for it. Came home and started using again and confirmed this definitely works to plump and smooth my lips. Without it my lips are thinner and lose color. With it they're plumper and noticably more pigmented. There is no tingling or numbing affect on me at all which is a very good thing for me. Pricey yes. Packaging sucks as well since you can never get all of the product out. I've found that soaking the tube upright in a glass of very warm water makes it melt down to the bottom of the tube and I can get most of it out. And recently they changed from the brush tip (which I much prefer) to the sponge tip which sucks even harder, but I kept my brush tips from prior bottles and just keep using that. Even with the cons, I'll never be without this and have found nothing that comes close to replacing it. Going to try the new Advanced formula as well.

I won this from a magazine giveaway. Though I had never thought to plump my lips, I tried it anyway. Personally, I like how it looks while it's on, and it does seem to plump up and smooth my lips. It made them really red, and a bit tingly. I'm really not sure whether I would consider buying again if I was looking for a product like this.

I bought this stuff online and used it everyday according to directions. At first I didn't notice much but a slight moisturizing effect. After about a week and a half, my lips started getting plumper, but unevenly! It was like I had lumps on my lips. They were also peeling and quite sore, so I stopped using it. Maybe I was allergic? Would not buy this again. I like gently exfoliating my lips with a moist washcloth and using my Carmex tube before bed. That usually leaves my lips soft, smooth and slightly plumper in the morning, but have not found a real plumper that works for me.

I received a small sample of this in a swap, and I'm not sure why, but I didn't get any sensation from it at all. The color, Los Angelips, is a pretty, baby doll pink, so I'll continue this sample tube until I run out. Like the color, like the texture, but it's a good thing I'm not aiming for a plumper pout, because for that, this didn't do a thing.

I have used this plumper for about a month, applying it at night before sleeping. I have noticed that my lips are slightly more plump, and that the lines and wrinkles in my lips are much smoother and pretty when I wake. I'm getting up there in age, so hey -- anytime I can be happy when I wake up and see myself is a big plus.
I haven't noticed any stinging or tingling with this product (unlike some others -- Lip Venom, I'm looking at you!), and I've been moderately happy with the results. My only beef with this product (besides the steep price for the tiny, tiny tube) is the design of the tube itself. The wand doesn't reach all the way to the bottom for the product, and the bottom of the gloss tube makes it impossible to stand this up in my medicine cabinet. I'm currently using a long-ended swab stick to dig the product out of the packaging. If they'd redesign the tube I'd definitely repurchase; for right now, I'm a strong 'maybe.' continued >>

(Background:) I'm generally fine with the size of my lips (not Jolie-big, but not Aniston-thin either), but like using plumpers to fill out those little lip lines a bit, add moisture, and generally give them a more cushy, 'pillowy' appearance. So far I've tried Too Faced Lip Injection, DuWop Lip Venom (both are the stinging type of plumper and dry out my lips); Dr. Patricia Wexler No Injection Lip Plumper (meh); Sally Hansen Lip Inflation (I liked this better than the first two, but it's merely a less irritating version); Lumene Rejuvenating Lip Care (results pending). Have not tried LipFusion, but that's next on my list.
CityLips is milky-clear, rather oily, and runny. It is not sticky and sinks in after a few minutes. This seems to irritate my lips slightly because they tend to get redder when I apply this stuff. But it only stings a teeny, tiny bit, and honestly, I usually don't feel it. I do try to use this after exfoliating my lips (when I remember). This is not very moisturizing (confession: I am very prone to dry, flaky, chapped lips) as the product tends to disappear after a few minutes, leaving my bare lips feeling as if I hadn't put anything on them at all. I do not like the texture--it's very gloppy and it's easy to get this stuff outside of your lipline. Worst of all, the bottle leaks like a mofo, no matter how tightly you twist the cap. I discovered this because I'd been storing this on its side. Now I store it upright and that seems to help, but product still oozes out, when you draw out the wand, and gunks up the opening. The brush applicator is okay, but not strictly necessary IMO since this isn't a colored lip product. Overall, CityLips has proved to be less than impressive, especially given the (ahem) inflated price. Would not repurchase.
ETA: Okay, I take it back and upped this to a 4. The above is all still true, but this actually seems to be plumping my lips. I've been using this every morning and night for the past two weeks just to use it up, and noticed just this morning that my lips looked quite a bit fuller than usual--that pillowy look we all crave so much. The little lines were smoothed out and they just looked much plumper than before. I guess this truly is a cumulative effects sort of product. May repurchase when I run out, though I have a hankering to try LipFusion next :) continued >>

I am a huge lip plumper fan. Even if they dont work, i like the tingling sensation!. This particluar plumper is pretty good. I'm on my second tube. First I had the original clear (before the colors came out) and then I got it in Los Angelips and I LOVE the color! (a light soft pink thats kinda irredescent). I comes up very sheer but it gives my lips a nice hint of light pink. I think it does plump a little bit but I do think it is better for it's moisturizing benefits. It makes my lips feel so soft and not sticky and gooey. When you use most of it, it gets stuck in the bottom and top of the tube where the brush doesnt reach which is a pain in the butt. I figured out how to get it though- if you put the tube in a little cup of hot water, it melts the gloss little bit so you can turn the tube upside down so it runs and you can reach it. For the price, the packaging should be a lot better. But all in all its a pretty good product. (i personally prefer LipFusion!)

Yikes... I tried it and all it did was make my lips sting... after the gloss dried, my lips were chapped, and they totally shriveled up, so that they were smaller than they were in the first place.
Never again. What a rip off.

This stuff is AMAZING. It really does make my lips fuller. It doesn't happen quickly though, but over time. It comes in some gorgeous shades as well.

This made my lips burn and feel like they were super chapped! Plus it does nothing for plumping, only makes them hurt. Good thing I only had a sample tube! I gave some to a friend and told her to try some and she got mad...haha we were at a training to become victims advocates and she frantically tried to rub it off :)

Update--this doesn't seem to burn anymore on a second tube buuuutt the inside of my mouth gets flaky when I wake up, like its' peeling. GROSS and it only happens when I use lip plumpers at night

After using this product as directed for more than 30 days, I must say that I did notice a slight increase in lip volume. That said, this product is WAY overpriced: $29 USD for a teeny tiny itty bitty tube. What's more, it is impossible to get all the product out of the tube. Just a terrible design, and the wand is not long enough or flexible enough to reach all areas of the tube. Therefore, I doubt I will repurchase. If you have lots of money to spend on lip products, then by all means get this. It does work. Also, when paired with LipFusion, you will really see a difference in the size of your lips. LipFusion is far more generous with the product, IMO.

I must add my voice to the praise for CityLips. This is the first lip plumper I have tried, or really felt compelled to try. I'm not really into irritating my poor tender lips, and I want something a little more long-lasting and even beneficial for my lips. I don't have thin lips, but I've lost a little volume as I've gotten older & I prefer my lips when they are slightly on the plumper side (post spicy food or kisses!).
Enter CityLips! Reviews prompted me to buy a tube, and I must say I've been very pleased with the results. This does not seem to be an "instant plumper" like some of the glosses using irritants like cinnamon oil, but a more slow-acting *treatment*. The first time I used it, I did notice some slight numbness, but that sensation has not repeated itself after the first few uses. It absolutely did not sting in any way. It does seem to increase bloodflow slightly, as my slightly pigmented lips did appear a touch pinker (and have continued to do so as time has gone on). My lips did *feel* a bit bigger after 30 minutes or so, but I couldn't say for certain if they were -- I think that feeling was the result of the numb sensation. However, the next day I woke up to smooth lips that weren't crying for balm (I must have lipbalm with me at all times), and seemed very slightly "fluffier". After a few more uses, I could say for certain that my lips appeared more full. The results were most obvious in my upper lip, which was undeniably plumper. The results were not gasp-inducing dramatic (which I didn't expect), but there's definitely been an improvement. I've continued to use CityLips clear treatment in the AM and before bed, occasionally using beneath my gloss during the day if I feel dry, and my results have only improved with time -- now even when not using the product, my lips retain the slightly fuller appearance that CityLips first provided. While the results last between treatments, I've found that if I neglect treatment for more than a few days in a row, my lips do seem to begin to return to their pre-CityLips state.
No topical treatment will give you Angelina Jolie lips, but in my experience, CityLips has provided a better version of my own lips -- plumper, smoother, soft, and moisturized. I'm also quite pleased with the fact that if I'm using CityLips regularly, I will often find that I've gone a few hours without balm or gloss on my lips without feeling uncomfortable, which is rare for me. I personally believe the product works simply by promoting the retention of moisture in the lip tissues, but that is hardly a bad thing. The price is a bit cringe-inducing, but acceptable if it works for you. The tube is really pretty terrible, in my opinion -- the brush is not the best choice, the tube is prone to leaks, and it's obvious that it will be difficult to reach all of the product in the end. Regardless, I would buy it again, and I believe it will likely become a staple for me. continued >>
