I received Agent 04 in a swap and I really like it! I applied this over a primer and it went on like silk and blended right into my skin, left my freckles showing (a plus), covered my undereye circles pretty well, and didn't settle into my fine lines. I dusted MAC MSF natural over this TM and after 8 hours it still looks fresh. Will definitely purchase another bottle when this one's gone.

So far I am quite impressed with this TM. It is actually more of a light coverage foundation that a TM, not quite as sheer as a lot of the other TMs out on the market. I find when I have it on my skin looks really even. It doesn't look like makeup which I appreciate. For anyone who is looking for a light foundation to just even things out this is a really good one. I found this didn't make me oily either (so far, we'll see how it fares as summer progresses).

I am about NC30/NARS TM 'Alaska' and found Agent 010 to be a good match. It looks slightly lighter when just applied, but as it melds into my skin (or oxidizes, whatever you may call it. Note: I don't think I've ever had any face base that doesn't "oxidize" on me) it appears to be the best shade match.
This TM has light-medium coverage. I have some reddish acne marks on my cheeks and, although this doesn't completely cover them, evens them out, as well as my dark under-eyes. Nothing my Collection2000 concealer can't handle.
The TM does not mattify my face, or makes my face appears oily. It does have tiny-itty-bitty shimmers, but only if you stick your nose to a mirror. It just makes my face appears even, so it has more of a natural finish to it. It lasts throughout the entire day, even works in tandem beautifully with my concealer and even when I spray my RoC Soleil Complexion+ SPF50 liberally on top of it. Doesn't budge and makes my face look fresh until I take it off at night. I like how my face looks like with this on at the end of the day.
I overslept with this on a couple of times, but has never ever woke up with a single zit or dull face, although the wear is, of course, already slightly off. As moisturizer, it does keep my face moisturized the entire day. I also find that my face gets back to its natural color somewhat quicker with it (I also use DIY 15% Vitamin C Serum), but no diminishing of pigmentation or some sort.
All in all, a great buy despite the price. The content of the tube doesn't seem to diminish significantly already within 3-months of daily use. A little goes a long way, I only use a pea size to cover the entire face, and another for the neck and chest. If I don't find better TM, I will definitely repurchase.

There are two reviews on MUA for this.....Tarte Smooth Operator and Tarte Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay TM. I am assuming they are the same exact thing here as I am reviewing the latter.
WOW! I just love this so far. Quick background, I was using Pixi TM. Liked it, but did not like the sparkles. Then I went to Laura Mercier mineral makeup. Too drying by itself, so I used the TM together with the minerals. For some reason, it wasn't giving the right color and I didn't like how it looked. The Pixi was a little too sparkley anyway. I went to Ulta wanting to buy this but got suckered into buying Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen WOW and I ended up returning it for the Tarte TM.
So the Pros:
-COLOR MATCH! YES!!!! I have NC25 skin and when I try to match any foundation right on, I always end up looking too yellow as my skin does have a yellow tint to it. So I tried this in Agent 12 and I love the "golden/brown/beige" it gives my skin. It's such a nice color and matches my chest (as I have a little tan going on right now).
-Ingredient list. How can you argue? But one ingredient is a con (see below)
-Goes on smooth and beautiful. Easy to blend. You can use your fingers or I've used a stippling brush. Just melts into your skin.
-Staying power, with mineral makeup on top, is awesome.
-The tube it comes in. You get the right amount of product out that you want and it's very hygienic.
Cons:
-Ok, the ingredient I am not crazy about.....dimethicone......yes, it's a silicone based ingredient. Even the SA told me to stay away from this as this has broken people out a lot if you have acne prone skin. Of course, I strongly believe acne starts from within the body, but there is no denying that there is such a thing as cosmetic acne. This scares me as my skin is starting to clear up. But so far, so good.
-The cost. Seriously a lot of $ for the product, but it's worth it.
-Lighter coverage than I'm used to. I do have to use LM's minerals on top to get a little extra coverage, but I'm ok with that for now.
Will update as I wear this more and more. But I really do love the color, the texture, and the wear.
Update: Nooooooooooooo! I love this stuff but it oxidizes horribly. I am so sad!!!! I was at my mom's and she looked at me and said "wow, your makeup looks so orange!" I looked in the mirror and holy cow, it was really dark. Sad day for me as this was reaching HG status. :*(

This product is great. It gives fantastic coverage for a tinted moisturizer and it feels very light. The ingredients list is impressive and the packaging feels very sturdy.

Between this and the Laura Mercier TM, this is my go-to for sure! The Laura Mercier works quite nicely, but it becomes too oily on me after a while, and makes my skin kinda itchy in spots. Tarte's TM hasn't made me breakout or caused any kind of skin reaction, which is miraculous for sensitive skinned girls like me! This is a thing of beauty! My skin feels moisturized, and doesn't become oily on me even if I don't use a finishing powder! Yay! I have this is Agent 14 (medium complexion with yellow undertones), and it blends in perfectly! I don't have horrible skin to begin with, but recently I've had problems when I changed my skincare routine, so I have a few acne marks (even though I don't pick it! BOO!), and this TM covers them well, and stays put all day! Ever since going back to my old skin care routine, and using this almost everyday now, it just makes me so happy that I've finally found my HG TM! :) Plus, this cuts my makeup routine by 15 minutes, meaning more snooze time for me! :) For an everyday look, I just wear this, add some brown eyeliner, and mascara, and I'm good to go! If I'm looking under the weather, I dab on some of the Tarte Cheekstain in Tipsy, and I look refreshed! I'll buy this product again and again and again!

Adding another positive review. Doesn't break me out, which is nothing short of miraculous and I love the finish. It provides coverage but looks like skin with that perfect amount of dewy glow I like. I apply with the ecotools kabuki brush and the combo is great. Would def recommend to those looking for light coverage with a natural finish who have a hard time finding products that don't break them out. Will repurchase!

I'm fair skinned, about as fair as they come, so I was really looking for a product that was sheer but would even out my skin, I have a lot of pink undertones. This product does the trick better than any I've tried before. It's quick to put on (my makeup routine went from a half hour to five minutes), it's light, it stays on all day and it actually matches my skintone where I've found other tinted moisturizers turn me a bit orange. If you're pale and looking for sheer coverage, I'd definately give tarte a try. I am pleased by how natural my skin looks now, as if I'm not wearing any makeup at all!

I loved this tinted moisturizer. Its easy to work with and they have so many colors and it did not break me out. I think this one is way better than the LM TM oil free.
I just am not a tinted moisturizer gal. I love how it looks, but I found myself not really reaching for it because I like the security my normal foundation gives me.
My skin isn't even that bad at all. I have no pimples. I just have redness and one or two acne scars that are slowly fading away.
However, since i love the dewy look but I love my revlon color stay. I put the smashbox halo on top of it and it creates this dewy glow which I love!
However, if you are a TM girl I would go with this one above the others

I am in love with this product! I have acne prone skin and have to be very careful about what I put on my face. I have never gotten any breakouts from this. It evens out my skin tone and is moisturizing but mattifying too. It has SPF but doesn't reek of sunscreen like a lot of tinted moisturizers do. I can't recommend this product enough.

Ever since having to deal with acne in the last few years my skin has been a weird mix of extremely oily in some patches and red, dry and sensitive in other places. There's also a lot of acne scars and hyperpigmentation spots. This tinted moisturizer is very sheer so I have to apply a few layers to get the coverage I need, and even then I have to cover up some of the darker spots with other concealer. However, I really like the finish and how it evens out my skin tone. In the winter the moisturizer is not really strong enough and I find my skin to be really dry at the end of the day, so I usually layer some other moisturizer underneath. Also apparently the Canadian version of this doesn't offer sun protection so I try to choose a moisturizer with SPF to use underneath it.

So pleasantly surprised by this product and that's putting it lightly. Having been a bare minerals matte fan for quite awhile, I opted to try this after browsing through these reviews. What caught my eye was the kinder sensitive skin ingredients and sanitary tube packaging. After applying a sample I was sold. my pores are slightly more pronounced around my nose and this not only didn't settle or accentuate them but glided seamlessly over! I don't find the finish to be too dewy; more my-skin-but-better. It does have a glow to it so I might set this with a translucent powder or a little of my be for my combination skin but honestly it isn't really necessary, this lasted all day through the gym, class, and work.
this evened out any redness, blended with ease, and the coverage more than I had expected from a tm without any sort of heavy cakey feel to it. Not sure if this would apply for those with more moderate to severe acne but this has in no way irritated my skin or caused a breakout =]

I wear this every single day (minus the rare occasions when I wear foundation to go out). It gives me just that little extra boost of moisture that my dry skin needs (but because my skin is so dry, I apply regular moisturizer first). I love how it gives such great coverage. In all honesty, it is very similar to a foundation (at least for me). I've used a lot of tinted moisturizers, but this one is the best I've tried.

I've shopped around for a good TM for awhile and happened upon smooth operator and was not disappointed. I have severe acne prone skin and have been having bouts with said acne which made me extremely cautious of anything that came near my skin. MAC foundation was my go-to for covering up my skin, and well, my face as a whole. Little did I know that it was causing a vicious cycle. Smooth operator goes on fairly thick, but easy to blend and not greasy at all. I use a mineral powder to set and get a great look without looking like I'm hiding behind a mask. As a disclaimer, I did start a round of heavy antibiotics and epiduo treatment which enabled my skin repair and smoothness, around the same time i started using this product. All in all, AWESOME product.

I am so sad about this. I absolutely love this TM; perfect amount of coverage for me, perfect match (I'm NC15 and wear shade 002 disguise or something like that haha), and lovely finish. Gave me some sweet cystic pimples though. My skin looked better than ever then I used this and it's worse than ever :( so frustrating.

Wow this stuff is amazing! It glides on like silk, feels great on my face & gives just the perfect amount of coverage for a tinted moisturizer. Its just a nice sheer coverage. Any heavier & you just might as well wear a foundation. I do like a med-full foundation coverage but thats not my intent with this product. I dont like to have foundation on my face 24/7 esp if im just sitting around the house. Love love loveeee continued >>

This product was really average and for the $36 that I spent on it, wasn't really worth it. I have pretty oily skin around my t zone and this made it so much worse. The only good thing is that all the ingredients are natural!

Uh, yeah, this is a holy grail.
I'm a little late to the tinted-moisturizer party, but after getting some Laura Mercier in a sample, I was really intrigued. Only issue: the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer made me break out, and I wasn't fond of the ingredients list.
So I tried this. And it is gorgeous.
I have terrible, awful skin. I do everything lifestyle-wise you're not supposed to do for good skin, and I'm 30 now. But this stuff makes my skin absolutely luminous and dewy, evens out the imperfections, and feels like I have nothing on at all. The coverage is surprisingly good, and it matches perfectly with my skin-tone.
No break-outs so far, either.
This is, by far, the best thing I have ever put on for make-up. I haven't been bothering with my other foundations (Dior Airflash and/or Lorac High Performance) since I got it -- this tinted moisturizer is all I need, for day AND night.
Want to see proof? Check my pictures in my user gallery. In the featured photo, my skin is wearing:
+ Tarte Smooth Operator in Agent 04
+ Korres Wild Rose Mineral Setting Powder
+ Benefit Erase Paste concealer (undereyes)
+ Benefit Dandelion Blush
+ A bit of Tarina Tarantino blush in Parasol
+ Benefit High Beam highlighter
Repeat: I am not wearing a lick of foundation in that photo. And I have awful skin. Couldn't tell by what the Tarte Smooth Operator does -- just radiant, dewy, gorgeous stuff.

So glad I seen all of the reviews on this Tarte TM. During the time I was debating on either getting the Laura Mercier TM (basically because of it's popularity and the hype) OR this Tarte TM (because I seen such better/higher ratings this had than the LM TM) ... So I went to my local Sephora and swatched both TM's and loved both of them! But I could only get one, so I decided to go with the TM with the better ratings which was the Tarte Smooth Operator. I have sensitive/combo/ Acne-Prone skin so I was taking a risk by trying a new makeup brand on my face, and I also had bad skin at the time (which is why I wanted a TM for something lighter for everyday). After wearing it the whole week.. my skin did not break out, and the coverage is just right! It's like a light-medium finish but it's buildable and it seemed more of a liquid foundation than a TM. Eversince I bought it, i've been wearing it almost everyday. However, my only problem was the color I got it in which was Incognito, it was a bit darker for me. I will definitely repurchase!

This is one of the best tinted moisturizers I have ever tried. I like the wide range of shades so I don't feel like I have to settle for something that is slightly off (Agent 06 is my perfect match). It is thicker than most tinted moisturizers so I have to apply it with a light hand. It evens out the skintone, looks natural and wears well, especially if you set it with some powder. Plus, it hasn't made me break out--very important to me!
