(review written August 12 , 2004) This palette is also known as the
Trendmaker Palette. I love this palette! I bought it on impulse when I
picked up the 2 e/s Printout palettes, and now Cream Colour Base in Shell is
my fave product of the summer. EDIT added November 9, 2004: I am still using
the CCB quite often, and am happy to see that it woorks with Fall shades on
me as well as it does with some summer shades. I am using Plumful more
regularly in the fall; it was not a good summer colour for me. I
particularly like it when I'm wearing black clothing or dark purple. It's
still a bit more dark pink in tone than I'm used to, as opposed to a fully
berry tone, but it seems to suit me and I like the other two fun colours to
add a bit of oomph in the evenings. Still a 5-lippie product for me. I use
the CCB as a base on my eyelids, a highlighter on my cheekbones, or on my lips
(not all at once, of course). The lipstick (Plumful) and lipglosses (Dreany,
Mod-De-Mauve) are a little pinker than what I'm used to, but I think I'll
use them more in the fall, so although I can't comment on them right now
they seem fine. Sorry if this is not helpful, but I wanted to review this
palette now because I find myself using the CCB every day. I'll update the
review in the fall. The palette is mirrored and compact, with a cute little
lip brush (316SE). Like other MAC palettes I've purchased, I find that this
one is great to try new shades and products I might not choose on my own.
I'm PPP/LLL with green/gold/etc eyes and fairly pigmented lips. This palette
cost $40 Cdn IIRC, and I feel like I have a face-in-a-case for evenings out!
A fun buy for sure. 5-lipstick rating!
When i first saw this palette, i thought it was the cutest palette i'd ever seen. it's pink, but has these sleek futuristic MAC logo motifs. So cute! the structure of the entire palette is exactly identical to the Rock It one [which i also have... i'm such a sucker for MAC limited edition palettes!] this comes with a subtle beige shimmery highlighter, a cream hued, a pink and a berry gloss. The colors are all much more subtle than the Rock It one, so it's more suitable for daily use. it's so chic to whip it out for touch-ups! Awesome stuff... i love it!
