This is the best eye shadow I own! I have been using it for a while now and it is so perfect I can't live without it! I usually use this one on my lid, baked in my crease and then I beleive its mac blanc under my brow. I always get tons of compliments!

Wow! I don't know why it took me so long to try this shade! Got it in the Naked 2 palette and immediately went and bought the full size! YDK is a lovely mid-tone netural fawn shade on my NC25 skintone. It is super pigmented and easy to blend, and the finish is very high shine, almost metallic. Its works great as a single all over shade or with either warm or cool darker crease shades. I do get annoyed by the glitter fallout but I'm more than willing to put up with it because this color is just GORGEOUS!

Beautiful shade, it looks great with my blue eyes! Staying power is great (with primer) and the texture of it is lovely. I do have fallout issues, though, hence the four lippies - I usually end up with small amounts of gold glitter on my cheeks. Only other gripe is the packaging if you buy the single - very bulky and cheap feeling, to me.

i only say YES I will buy this shade again because i am confident that it will be in more ud palettes in the future.
It is in the BOS2 and naked2 palettes which i have.
It is a VERY pretty color. I would absolutely give it 5+ stars all around if it were sold without the gold micro glitter.
I am 28, my skin is starting to change texture, it is very apparent when I wear this shade or sidecar, or any others with the glitter. At first, i thought this would not be too bad since it is not bigger flecks of glitter like midnight cowboy rides again, and all those that I, and many other people hate, but, this is a bit more annoying because I cant simply brush it away like the bigger flecks, if I do that, it just gets pressed deeper into my skin, pores.
It does stick well with pixie epoxy, but when i use that, my shadow creases, so I cant expect it to wear as well as say, toasted (another pretty UD metallic shade but without any glitter.) on top of UDPP.
pretty, but experiment with it on different primers or applicators/brushes. I do agree with another reviewer who mentioned it looks more taupe when on. gosh, it would be LOVE if it were available with no glitter.

This is my favorite eyeshadow. I usually wear YDK to my college classes with Twice Baked in the outer corner on a daily basis. This color is perfect and does not have any fallout, which is a problem with some of the Urban Decay eyeshadows. YDK is creamy and stays on all day, with the help of UDPP of course. When I hit pan on it, I will definitely rebuy it because it's such an essential color to have in my collection. I always recommend it to friends looking for a great eyeshadow. And the friends I have recommended it to love it.

This was my first high end eyeshadow and I've hit pan on it next to mac crystal avalanche. It's a great lid color and I usually can use it alone w/out adding a crease color. Definitely will repurchase.

I have YDK and UD's Naked palette, and I just noticed that Sidecar and YDK could be dupes of each other. I swatched them and took a pic (it's in the pic lineup), and Sidecar might be a tad warmer with chunkier glitter, while YDK is more neutral with finer shimmer. I vastly prefer YDK as it applies better with less fallout; Sidecar just ends up on my cheeks. YDK is a fantastic punched-up neutral.

I adore this shadow! It has definitely become a HG shade for me, along with Mac Woodwinked. I tend to use Woodwinked more in the summer and YDK in the fall and winter months, and I'm just starting to use it again now. I have medium skin with yellow undertones and hazel eyes. On me, this shadow is a perfect taupe and very glowy. It just brings my eyes to life and I really struggle getting used to other shadows after using this one for a while because this is just so unbelievably flattering! The shadow does contain some microglitter, and given the choice, I would prefer it to have none because there is some fall-out but I just swipe it away and I always do my face and blusher after eyeshadow anyway so it's no big deal for me. I use this shadow all over the lid and then use Bobbi Brown After Hours in the crease. I then use Mac Nylon or Dazzlelight as a highlight on the browbone and inner corners, YDK on the lower lashline and then finish off with black mascara and I'm done - this is literally the perfect combination! Anyone who loves bronzes, browns and neutrals should really try this shadow! I love a smoky eye but due to the warm tones in my skin, I don't really suit very cool shades like greys and lilacs. I can pull them off with the right blush but I never really feel 'me' in those shades. This shadow is not too warm but it has enough warmth to suit me just perfectly. I think I actually prefer this to my other HG shadow, Woodwinked, although I find Woodwinked much easier and quicker to apply due to the texture. I do find this shadow quite soft and powdery and, even without the tiny glitter, I think you would still get fall-out with this shadow due to this but overall, none of those things really matter because this shadow is just perfect and so pretty and I will purchase again and again! For info, I'm already on my second pot having bought my first back in 2008!

YDK is an HG shade, in my opinion. It's everything a great eyeshadow should be - buttery, blendable, pigmented, long-wearing and simply oh-so-pretty. In the pan, it definitely looks like a mocha brown with golden finely-milled glitter (as described by UD), but on it is a soft taupe colour with plumy-pink undertones. The glitter is also very subtle and not overwhelming, unlike many other UD shadows. To this end, the fallout is very minimal (especially if you give your brush a quick tap before applying). The finish is very shimmery and has almost a metallic look to it.
It's a great daytime colour, as an all-over or crease colour (I like it pair with a very soft matte pink, like MAC Yogurt). In the evenings, I like it as an all-over colour with a champagne highlighter (ie. MAC Shroom or UD Sin), a deep brown in the crease (ie. UD Twice Baked) and with some matte black in the outer corner for depth (ie. MAC Carbon).
Fans of the former and famous MAC Coco Pigment will be pleased to find that this is near-identical dupe - honestly, it's almost impossible to tell the difference. I also find it to be quite similar to MAC Satin Taupe, though YDK has more plum-pink notes.
For me, YDK (=You Don't Know?!) is a no-brainer repurchase and recommend. I love it!

This is a gorgeous mocha/taupey brown color with some shimmer. It isn't glittery like some UD shadows tend to be, which is nice - I feel like the glitter chunks go all over the place! Not with this. it's gorgeous even on it's own, even on my fair skin!

I think this is the first eyeshadow I have that I like to use completely by itself without feeling the need to have a darker color as a crease or a lighter color on the lid. It is so gorgeous all alone. I like to use YDK all over my lid, under my eyes and in the crease a bit. This shadow looks on me like a fawn or mocha color, not too gray and no orange, just a slight pink to it. I don't have anything else quite like it. YDK has a wet look to it that I find quite pretty and brightening to my very dark brown eyes. I have a pale olive skintone with pink undertones and this is just a shade or so darker than my skin. Just to warn you this is more powdery than Urban Decay's usual eyeshadows, but personally that doesn't bother me.

This is one of my favorite urban decay. I may not be able to use this as a crease color or an outer v color. but it is a beautiful light taupe that i can use as an over the lid color. This is my most used eyeshadow. I LOVEEEE IT. If i finish it up im definitely going back to get a new one.

I use this as a lid colour and it's absolutely amazing. Everyone below me has described its awesomeness, and I can only agree! Gives me this beautiful (not glittery) sheen of colour that is the perfect shade of taupey netural!

Urban Decay calls YDK a bronzed mocha w/ golden microglitter. I can see that in the pan, but on me (NW15), it turns a gleaming plummy taupe. I swapped for it on a whim, and it is turning into an eyeshadow I reach for almost every day (and I have more eyeshadows than I can count).
Urban Decay shadows can go over the top with the glitter effect, but YDK provides a shimmering, almost metallic, finish. A great neutral for eyes of all ages, even when used in the socket. My only complaint is that it fades, but it's easy enough to carry the pot in my handbag and swipe a little more on midday with a clean fingertip. I don't often use up eyeshadows, but if I finish YDK, I will definitely purchase it again.

YDK (bronzed mocha w/ golden microglitter) is a great neutral shade with UD normal smooth textured and shimmer/glitter finish. For reference I'm a NW/NC 25.

One of my favorite shadows, just bought my third. (I don't think I have ever bought an eyeshadow three times, except maybe for a beautiful creme gold made by Aveda.) No huge glitters like some UD shadows, just a lovely shimmer. I use it as a lid color, or for lining.
Creamy consistency, soft glowy taupe color, great staying power. Works with everything, or just as an easy throw on color for days when you don't have the time for more. Love love love it. If you are ever going to try just one Urban Decay shadow, this would be the one.

Hands down most used eyeshadow. Perfect bronzy neutral!

This is actual love. I have this in the UD Sustainable Shadow box set and on first glance it fades into insignificance next to the deep greens and purples next to it. It doens't look that special on its own, but once on...it's absolutely sumptuous.
I see from other reviews that it brings out different colours on different skin tones. I'm fair with blue eyes and it's a lilacy taupe on me with some shimmer. That sounds hideous, but believe me it's not. It's colour, but it's subtle colour that does wonders for my eyes. I can wear it to work and not feel overdone (which is rare when coloured e/s is involved). Paired with Half Baked in the crease for a night out, it is absolutely divine.
As with all UD eye shadows, it lasts all day with no creases and comes off easily with remover. No glitter, just shimmer. I can't think of a single skin tone that would regret this purchase.
A definite repurchase!

I was hoping this would be a darker taupe, but it's not. I can't use this as a definer/outer lid shade with sin (for example, but I can use this all over or with a brighter inner lid shade.
It's a beautiful light taupe, and has good pigmentation. Usual luxurious Urban Decay creaminess with no extra glitters in this. A really nice color.
It's good for what it is, but not what I wanted it to be! Therefore I don't think I'd repurchase if I even finished it.
I think it would look better if I got more of a tan..
