I've already gone through 3 jars of this stuff and this is the only product that relieves the dryness on my skin. The color is a very pretty blue and feels extremely refreshing when you put it on. I don't think the smell is strong or unpleasant, it smells rather watery and fresh. It also has a cooling effect which I love. I really recommend this to those with really dry skin, especially during the winter.

Bought this because my friend at the time was an Avon rep and recommended this to me. I have quite sensitive, combination skin, and I don't think this works well on it. I like the smell, and the gel consistency, which in fact makes me continually use it. I'm about a third of a jar down, but every time I use it, it just makes my face extremely sticky, and then tightens my skin and makes it shiny a while later. If I put it on just before I go to bed as a mask, I will tend to break out the next morning.

I LOVE the way this gel feels on my skin, not at all like those normal creamy moisturisers. This feels very cool to the skin, smooth - not at all sticky, and instantly makes me feel hydrated. x] Feels very nice and refreshing when you apply it to your entire face, and sticking your finger into the bright blue-coloured gel is somewhat amusing.

I love this product coz the hydrating properties are superb. But one thing I hate is the smell. At first it smells like ginger, but towards the end of the application I notice that the smell becomes rather pungent, almost like fish food!! And the texture is rather sticky too. Being in a hot and humid Asian country, I cant apply this during the day. I only use this at night coz I sleep in an air conditioned room, so the texture becomes perfect for that sorta environment. I would recommend this to anyone who suffers from the occasional dryness on the face, use it like a thick hydrating gel, leave it on for 15 minutes then rub it in and go to sleep. Wake up the next morning with dewy looking skin :)

I like the colour of this, and the novelty factor of it being truly gel-like. The scent to me is reminiscent of raw ginger or something, not entirely pleasant. As for being moisturizing, I don't find it does a very good job which was sort of surprising to me. Perhaps it was the deceptive colouring!
I now use this only for the cooling effect it gives upon application for on sunburn. Keep it in the fridge to make it cold and this is even better!
I wouldn't recommend this for anything other than putting on sunburns, but there are still better products for that purpose if you're wanting them.

This is a staple for me. I have really dry skin and this helps hydrate before i apply makeup, and its a pretty good price considering how long it lasts

I like the theory of this product but in reality it doesn't do anything for my skin. It has a cooling effect, but it is really sticky and doesn't smell all that nice. I can't see any outstanding hydrating benefits so I don't recommend this.

This really is like a gel...unlike some products which claim to be a gel but is more like a cream-gel. I love the colour of this! Reminds me of the water in maui! hehe. Scent is kinda strong, but tolerable. I love the cooling feeling this has upon application. I imagine it being quite useful in the summer.

I use this at night on top of my regular moisturizer during the winter, or as a nighttime eye gel. I don't have any problem using this around my eyes and do not find it irritating. It does not cause me any breakouts or skin problems. Think this is OK for the price, I don't have any issues with it, but would probably not buy again because I am just not sure it really does that much for me.

I got this for 7.50 CDN. I wouldn't recommand this as a moisturizer. It's really sticky and the smell is really strong. It leaves my skin shiny and stinky. As a mask, it's alright. Nothing too noticeable or long lasting. The ingredients in this is cheap and ineffective, which I suppose is right for the price. My skin is really picky so I won't be repurchasing this.

Extremely similar to Biotherms hydrating mask and other gel moisturizers out there, but way more reasonably priced. The skin really loves this and it absorbs well. It can be used as a mask and washed off or left on in a very light layer. Smells fresh and plumps skin out immediately if you think you look a bit drawn. Much as I hate tubes this would be great in a large tube (like Biotherm) or a pump. But would probably drive the price up.

I loved the smell of this, a lightly spicy ginger, I can smell it now. This sticky bright blue gel makes my skin sticky moist for an hour or so as it slowly dries out, then it goes shiny and tight on the skin. I didn't mind, because I was imagining the natural botanicals and vitamins were working wonders on my skin.

But it didn't. I used up two jars and it I think it was overstimulating my sensitive skin as it made my skin condition worse - red, tight and shiny. This improved as soon as I stopped using it.

I'm never fond of cosmetics sold in jars that need fingers dipping finto them because it introduces bugs. That tempts manufacturers into putting higher levels of what are often skin irritating/sensitising anti-microbials into jarred creams to protect against bacterial/fungal growth.

For what this is - it's perfect. What I mean is as its a 'GEL' I did not expect a creamy, rich moisturizer. This went above my expectations as it is a light, easy to apply, non greasy gel. It lightly moisturizes my skin and is perfect for frequent use, especially after I go swimming. This is certainly part of my summer skin care regime. I've heard that in the summer you should stay away from any "creamy" moisturizers - basically anything white in colour. I dunno what the heck you're supposed to do about SPF then.
My one little irk with the product is that its dyed bright BLUE. What on earth is the purpose of that? They could've easily left that out.

I'm really not sure about this product. I bought it in order to put some moisture back into my oily (yet parched) skin. However the first thing that I immediatley disliked about this product was the smell. I'm not sure what its supposed to be but I personally found it to be quite an awkward smell. Also when I first applied this I noticed it was quite greasy, especially for a gel!(which is why i only use it at night) and I didn't get the sticky feeling that some others commented on. I also noticed that for me personally, I only have to use the tinyest dab on each cheek, which is enough for it to spread over my entire face, so this stuff will definately last me for ages!. The results aren't bad - makes my face feel nice and soft, doesn't seem to break me out (however, i have only started using it). I haven't used it as a mask yet, although I also use it on my neck and décolletage at night and sometimes during the day just to give my skin a bit of a drink. Overall, not too bad I suppose considering the price.

This is my HG "watering" gel. My acne prone skin cannot handle too much moisture, but for my dry days or days after a "maxi-peel" or other peel treatment this is perfect.
This is more of a nighttime treatment for me. I don't think it would wear well under foundation though.
You can also apply it thickly and use it as a mask for a more intense treatment. I do this in the summer after a day in the sun. works well for relief from windburn too.

LOVE this product. I have acne prone skin that often gets flaky (probably due to acne medication use). This stuff is amazing. I apply it generously and it just soaks right into my skin within minutes. I've never been able to use moisturizer under foundation, but this one I can! It's a great eye cream too. I imagine it would be very firming for more mature skin as well. Definitely one of my favorite products.

i got 2 tubs of this because of th reviews here it was on sale for $9.95NZD super cheap.i have oily acne prone skin but sometimes i want moisture too .i use this as a mask only and sometimes use it as the base for an asprin mask.it leaves my skin feeling hydrated and does not break me out .i would repurchse if this was on sale again bu its not a must have for me

I almost cried when Avon discontinued this, but thankfully it's still available outside the US (thank you Ebay!!). I could put this on my face if I got a bit sunburned and the next day the pinkness would be gone and my skin smooth. I used it as a night moisturizer or whenever I wouldn't be out in the sun and loved it.
Mark now offers a gel that is almost exactly like this product but I can't remember the name at the moment. Why they quit offering this product in the States is beyond me...and I'm stocking up on this new product from Mark just in case.

Thankfully this product is still available in Australia. I have used this for 4 years. I keep the jars in my fridge and apply when I wake in the morning with an eye treatment. Lay down for 15 mins. Then wash off and continue with rest of my daily face routine. So technically I don't really use as a moisteriser but I love it anyway. Also great to mix a little with your foundation if it gets a little dry. Overall great product.
