Really like this! My one is SPF 20 though.
Smells just like carmex but more vanilla-ish.
Has a tingly feeling upon application, but that does disappear after about 5 minutes. I like the fact that it's in a skinny tube, easier to fit into pockets/small bags etc.
It only contains 2g of actual product but considering it's less than £2, that's not an issue.
Feels creamy, doesn't leave that much of a noticable shine on lips, sinks in quick and leaves your lips hydrated.
However it did leave a faint white cast on my lips and I do need to keep reapplying as it wears off pretty quickly.
Will prob repurchase cause they're so cheap and have decent SPF.

This smells great. Seriously, I never care about a product's fragrance but this smells so good that I would eat it if I could. This lip balm goes on very creamy and makes my lips feel very soft but it doesn't really moisturize. In fact, after wearing it, my lips feel drier after the initial creamy feeling.

I own 6 softlips, so you can basically tell I like them. These are my favorite lip balm ever, and I'm a lip balm junkie. These are insanely cheap and all smell amazing. I really like the packaging they are slim and easy to shove into a pocket. My lips are really dry usually, so these help me out a TON. The French Vanilla flavor is my favorite. Overall, these are amazing and I love them.

Love this! Can really feel it working. Soft vanilla smell. Packaging is so cute, slimline great for travel and popping in your bag on the go. Left lips moisturised and has SPF, worth the extra pennies than your standard Nivea/ Chapstick balm.

I have a tube of SoftLips in every pocket and purse. It's not too waxy, not overly scented, and it seems to really work to keep my lips from getting chapped. Definitely an HG item for me.

The things I liked about this product was its nice vanilla scent and its small, convenient packaging. However, it doesn't feel waxy but it does wear off about 5 minutes after each use so you will have to keep reapplying. But the only major problem I had with this lip balm was that when I put it on my lips, I could feel the crackness of my lips which was very uncomfortable. It also just sat on my lips and didn't really soak in to make it heal. If your lips aren't super chapped and you just like the vanilla scent and nice tingling sensation, then I would completely reccommend it! But I will use this product when my lips aren't as chapped, so I'm not going to throw it away.

Well i have to say that of all the great things ive heard about soft lips, i do enjoy it but its not the greatest lip balm in the world, i did wait years to give it a shot, which i dunno why.. im a carmex girl so if you all have tried & use carmex then you will probably not enjoy this as much..
Ill go on to my review
=PRICE/AVAILABILITY=
The Soft Lips is available in a few "flavors" i believe Vanilla is one of the top sellers or favorites since who doesnt love a simple French Vanilla scent/flavor? i know i love em & Vanilla is always my favorite. These balms/sticks are available in most drugstores like CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid as well as Walmart, Target & even Big Lots in packs. Can be purchased individually for $1.50 or so or in packs around $3 so it all depends on how many you get & where you buy them. Check for sales/discounts. They are normally found where the cold medicine is.. in that area.
=FORMULA/PERFORMANCE=
French Vanilla is a great smell/flavor. Its a nice soft, basic vanilla smell, not super strong but very light. You do smell it & taste it for a moment but its not lingering. I like vanilla flavoring & this one is prob the best of the chapsticks/balms ive used from drugstore brands but it dont last long. The balm itself isnt great either. For the first few minutes, its great. It provides a sheer layer of moisture & it makes my lips feel soft (not moisturized thoroughly like my beloved Carmex does) but still makes my lips feel smooth & soft. I love it for the first few minutes but then it disappears rather quickly. I know w/ most lip products, i dont expect super long wear time since i may lick/bite my lips & eat & drink things but this just goes away & i find myself having to reapply it so often that its annoying but still a nice little treat of vanilla. So if you suffer from SUPER DRY PARCHED/CRACKED lips like i do, then this is def not for you. It wont help moisturize your lips or provide a relief but if you just want a lip balm to provide a softness to your lips & a nice layer say before lipstick/gloss, then its good. I have the worst lip conditions so i need something more but on say really good days where my lips are peeling/chapped, id use this. I dunno if im just imagining it but i find w/ most chapsticks/balms, it ends up making lips worse? the more i use them, the worse my lips eventually get? But this is a great staple to throw in the purse to use when you need something to coat your lips.
=PACKAGING=
Soft Lips come in the thinnest tube/stick of drugstore chapsticks. Its a small plastic tube/stick thats mechanical, it easily twists up & down. The lid is small so dont twist up a whole bunch or you will smoosh your chapstick. The packaging is white in color & i love the writing/labeling. Simple & thin & compact, can fit in any pocket/bag. I have been carrying mine around forever.
Overall, its a good basic lip balm, not really a chapstick since it doesnt provide relief or an instant comfort. Its a nice light softening stick. I dont suggests it for those like myself w/ awful lips but those who have good lips, this will be great! i love French Vanilla, its yummy! continued >>

Love the smell & the moisturization properties, but it doesn't last more than just a few minutes on my lips. Only purchase if you don't mind re-applying this product alot. continued >>

This was my go-to lip balm before I fell in love with The Body Shops Lip Butter in Coconut. It does an okay job of moisturising, and smells great. For me, it was not really anything special!

It actually does make semi chapped lips all smooth and nice.. I didn't expect good results with this product, but i saw people raving about the chapstick soo i had to give it a try. And it's worth the price, though it's cheap too. 4 stars. If only there was a keychain thingie on it, i would give it 5 stars :D haha

I dont really like this lip balm.
The pakaging is cute and protable, but it looks suspiciously like a ciggarete. Which annoys me, oddly.
The flavors are nice, but they do not moisturize my lips AT ALL. They only have my lips soft (see what I did there) and reduce lines. After using it, my lips feel dry. They also wear out quickly. I have to keep reapplying.
Just stick to good ol ChapStick, or Burts Bees.

Yummy! I have this in vanilla and raspberry and I love the smell of them. I'm an avid Carmex user but I can't use that under lipsticks because it's such a wet texture, but these lip balms are perfect. I like putting them on before lipstick because I find that they absorb into the lips really quickly and moisturize them fast. I love the very feint tingly feeling on my lips and how the applicator is small enough to ensure that I don't go outside my lip line. Great.

Am I the only one here who didn't love this product like crazy? First of all, the texture of this is very 'light' and its doesn't give my lips the relief of moisture that I usually look for in a lip balm. Another annoying factor is the packaging of these balms. Too thin and easily balm breaks off if you twist up too much. Plus this was like $6 CAN where I bought it. So overall I didnt hate it, but wasn't HG stuff for me. I did like the scent of this balm and was glad there was no taste. For those who want a great lip balm, try NIVEA essential care. Its $2 and nothing can beat it.
Would I repurchase? No. Will use this up and that's pretty much it.

This product smells good, feels good when I put it on my lips and doesn't have a bad taste....but it dried out/made my lips peel.

To be honest, this product doesn't exactly cut it for functional chapstick- too watery, thin, and the longevity just isn't there.
What I love about it? The smell. I CAN AND WILL buy this product because I like the packaging and it just smells and tastes so damn good.
Mmmm.
I do like the thinness of the stick though, it's fun to apply. :)
Some good skinnystick for white girls with thin lips.

Smells good, feels tingly... then it made my lips chap and peel off more so than before I'd started using this.

The sleek, long tube half the size of a regular tube of lip balm can be lovable. Except for the fact that over half of the tube is just plastic, not the actual product. With only 2g or .07oz of product, this isn't a steal for your money. Especially when it's not usually a dollar lip balm and it's extremely light. I bought mine for around $2-$3. The product goes on very, very smooth and light. Too smooth and too light. It feels watery when you rub your lips together. It does contain a slight tingle that relaxes my lips a bit. We will give that to the menthol. The smell is a sweet, light vanilla. As someone else said, it does smell exactly like Lucky Charm cereal's marshmallows. It's a great day lip balm, I wouldn't dare put it on at night. I would still feel anxious of running out solely because this lip balm is a tad less than half a regular tube, thus more easy to use up. It just doesn't last as long. It does make my lips softer, which rocks, and it's the only reason why this product is a 4 on the lipstick scale. I really didn't think there was any other majorly good part of it other than the balm inside. It smoothed out and softened my lips, like any lip balm should do. The SPF 20 in mine (by the way, mine is just vanilla, I take it this was from packaging) is great, even though I'm sure it's the SPF making it taste like cardboard and melted plastic. Ew. I have a feeling that if this was a dollar lip balm, tasted better, and there was more product it would be an HG. But sadly, no. Too many flaws. I suppose I would repurchase on the occasion of nothing better to buy.

i love this chapstick. i'm always open to trying new ones, but i definitely find myself going back to this one.
i love the tingly feeling you get after applying, and i feel like it moisturizes my lips very well. it doesn't have that super waxy feel like nivea gives you either.
another one of the perks is the inexpensive price :)

This is a holy grail product for me. I love the light texture, the yummy scent, and how well it moisturizes without feeling gloppy or waxy or gooey or sticky. I never go anywhere without one in my pocket or my purse or my car. (Or all three!) May it never, ever, ever be discontinued!
