So as everyone else has said, this doesn't smell like lemon zest, but more like lemon-flavored candy. More specifically, it smells like Lemonheads, which are awesome, but practically scream their bad-for-your-teeth artificial-ness through their scent. Throw (is that the term?) is on the weaker side. I wouldn't repurchase this one.

I'm actually burning this tart right now! I like this frangrance, the only thing I don't like about it is that the name is deceiving. It's not a true tart lemon scent, which is what I was hoping for. It's more of a creamy lemon desert. It's got a bakery scent that I can't quite place. It's pleasant, so it still gets high marks from me, but just not exactly the tart fresh lemon scent I was expecting. I just finished cleaning my house and I wanted a clean lemony smell to go with it, but what I got was some sort of lemon cookie scent. Still good though, but now my husband wants me to make cookies.

This doesn't really smell like real lemon zest, as others noted. More of a lemon Skittles, lemon candy type smell. However, that's perfectly fine with me. True lemon scents tend to smell cleaning-product-like to me, so I enjoy the milder, creamier lemon scent that is Lemon Zest. The tart has good throw, also.

This has a very strong lemon zest scent with great throw. True lemon. Refreshing.
To compare scents I lit an old YC "Lemon Meringue". That one had more of a bakery smell to me. I could sense the meringue, vanilla and crust in that one. It was creamier and milder.
The new Lemon Zest scent hits with a punch, however.

Yummy tart! It reminds me of starburst candy.

I did not care for this one; however, I am not big on citrus scents, so perhaps I am biased. To my nose, this tart opened with a strong hint of Pinesol, followed by a lingering aura of melted lemon Starburst candy. (for the record, I'm not big on either of those scents.) As some of the Yankee tarts can appear subtle, I was surprised (and a little dismayed)at how much this scent lingered after I snuffed out the flame. I love the quality of Yankee tarts, but I would not repurchase this one; nor would I recommend it to my lemon-loving friends. The search for a nice, energizing summer citrus continues...
