This is a heavy-duty moisturizing cream from New Zealand intended for sensitive skin that I heard about on the MUA skin board. I tried the lighter of two versions, the Manuka Honey Skin Care Cream. It has a very mild honey smell and feels as if it might contain some beeswax. It was too much for my winter-dry face; it didn't cause breakouts or other problems, but was too moisturizing and clogged my pores. It worked wonderfully on my parched body, though. It would be worth a try for seriously dry skin.
It's inexpensive--I got a 4 oz. jar from the site kiwi-sheepskins.com for $10 including free shipping. (They also have great prices on Ugg-type boots and other sheepskin products.) The ingredients aren't listed, but this is what the label says:
This special cream is rich in NZ Manuka Honey and Evening Primrose Oil, natural antibiotics and powerful healing ingredients. Very beneficial for eczema, dermatitis and other skin problems. Also excellent for dry skin. As allergies differ, a small affected area should be tried first. A unique healing cream. Not tested on animals. No lanolin. Hypo-allergenic. Fragrance free.
