This sunscreen is almost perfect- it has none of the qualities that I hate in conventional sunscreen. It isn't super emollient, and feels matte and non-greasy on my very oily skin. It also holds up all day without causing my face to get greasy. The smell is pretty pleasant, too- instead of that gross sunscreen smell, it actually smells like oatmeal. It does leave a slight whitish cast on the face directly after application, but on me this fades after I let it sink in for about 30 seconds. The only problem I have with this is that it pills up a lot with certain products- I can't wear it over any product that stays on my skin, like serum (possibly it doesn't react well with the silicones in the serum), and it's also been difficult for me to find a good moisturizer to use over it. Usually I use a face oil, but this has been disastrous- it pills so much that I think it just all comes off. I'm trying more cream-based moisturizers to see if I can find one that works with it, because while there are lots of good moisturizers out there, this is the first everyday sunscreen I've found that I actually like! Overall, I think this is a great everyday option for people with oily skin, which most sunscreens are definitely not.

Edit: UVA isn't strong enough. Broke out in a PMLE rash while wearing this. Boo.

At last, a holy grail daily use sunscreen! I have nothing but praise for this product and am immensely grateful to Paula Begoun for recommending it in her book. This suncreen goes on extremely matte, sinks in quickly (though you have to work it into your skin), and doesn't irritate my skin (thanks to the all-titanium dioxide formula) or look like an oil slick after 3 hours. It even smells nice-- like oatmeal with brown sugar. Unfortunately titanium dioxide formulas don't block UVA completely, but none of the alternatives available in the US are attractive to me. Until the FDA gets a brain I'll be sticking with this (or buying European). Sigh.

This is actually for the SPF 30 but it's not listed as an option. The is my sunscreen for when I'm running errands and will be in and out of the house all day. I have oily T zone with dry forehead and moutharea. When I first applied it, it did leave that "white mask" from the TDioxide I assume. I kept applying it and within a few min. the mask was gone. It left a matte look in my face wich I like. It soaked right in and I didn't have any problems with my foundation. I also have acne prone skin and it didn't make me break out. I had been using Neutrogena Oil free Sunscreen and it kept stinging around my eyebrow area...not this one. What I don't like is the tube it comes in. The sunscreen is very runny and it just pours out of the tube if you have it facing down, it would be much better to have it in a pump bottle. ***UPDATE: I have noticed it's changing the color of my foundation...I had a harder time finding a good sunscreen than a good foundation, so the foundation is out.

Purchased this in the SPF 30 at my local health food store for $7. I bought it b/c of Paula B. rec in her book for a sunblock for those with sensitive skin. I did not consider myself a person w/ sensitive skin until I noticed that something in my Dove daytime moisturizer was irritating the drier areas of my face (around my mouth and nose). So, I gave this a shot since it's main ingredient is 10% titanium dioxide. I have normal to dry w/ some oiler ares on forehead, nose and chin. I don't use this as my everyday sunblock but for days that i will be in the sun for a while, at the beach or playing sports. I would not recommend this for those with oiler skin. It is slightly whitish and has a typical sunblock feel, but it really was not greasy on my skin. I applied it right after i cleansed and I found that it actually soothed my drier irritated areas. I applied a bit of translucent powder on my nose and forehead since I wasn't going to be doing much activity and so far (4 hours later) no shine. I've tried Dove, Cetaphil, Neutrogena and Olay, and all irritated by dry areas causing redness and itchy burning. Not this one. I will be repurchasing.

This left a distinct white cast on my face, even after rubbing in and waiting awhile. The part I really didn't like was the way it settles into my pores and makes me look like a moldy strawberry! Well, a little exaggeration. Good points - didn't bother my eyes during application (and I rub that stuff in very well over my entire face, not avoiding my eyes at all). I haven't worn into the water, yet, but think I'll look for something else because it gives me a pretty creepy look. I'll use on my toddler's face (teeny pores!).
