This product was the one thing that would work on my face when I broke out into a bad period of dry skin. It helped bring my skin back to normal!!! My skin was so terrible and I was so desparate to find a solution--- I turned to the baby aisle since none of the creams that I tried worked. Thank gawd! This lotion was my salvation!
This is my HG moisturizer and I always have a backup tube regardless of what other moisturizers I choose to try!

I bought this for my babies who have eczema and a few days ago I grabbed this to moisturize my severly dry hands when my HG cream (Frederic Fekkai Creme Luxueuse) was not within reach. This is absolutely perfect for hands. I now have a cheaper alternative for a hand cream, although it is not as good as my HG. I ususally alternate the Frederic Fekkai with Palmer's Cocoa Butter for my hands, but I will replace the Palmer's with this. I LOVE it!!

Edit (Nov, 13, 2011): This has replaced my hg $65 moisturizer. It is simply amazing and the results are cumulative. After using this on my legs twice a day, for three days in a row, my skin is the softest it has ever been. Ever. I have kp on my arms and now instead of using AmLactin, I just use a scrub(the amazing Kiehls Soy,Milk and Honey) and slather this on after and my arms are silky smooth. And my hands...forget about it. Amazing stuff! I buy in bulk now.

I thought it'd be a better version of Baby Daily Moisture Lotion - since it claims to be so gentle it's even good for eczema skin. But it irritates my eczema skin and only does the moisturizing job slightly better than the Baby Daily Moisture Lotion. Won't buy again.
smell: 4/5. faint smell, neither good nor bad. it doesn't bother me.
feel: 4/5. stickier than the Baby Daily Moisture Lotion, still decently smooth.
Moisturizing power: 4/5. not better than average, not worse.
Bur since it irritates, I can only use it on my legs.

love this stuff! i have used it for years on both of my young children and finally used it for myself (too lazy to dig out my own). my skin felt so smooth and soft that my husband commented later that night. that was all i needed to continue to use it and now i am addicted.
then...i got the courage up to use it on my face (gasp!) and i love it! i didn't break out which is a miracle and my face is the softest its been for years. plus i am pregnant and my hormones are raging so my skin is ultra-sensitive to everything and this seems to calm it down. i make sure i use a very small amount but so far i dare to say it is my hg moisturizer.
the only negative is that we go through tubes of this rather quickly and its not that cheap compared to store brands. i will continue to buy this!!
edit: i do not use this on my face anymore. i got into big trouble when i went to get a facial.

This is my mainstay facial moisturizer. Not sure yet if it's HG, but I've been using it for about 6 months and haven't found anything else that can hold a candle to it. I have combination clog-prone skin and this doesn't break me out, has a matte finish, isn't too heavy or too light, no fragrance, and the packaging and price are pretty great since a smaller tube lasts me a pretty long time.

I just started using this cream today and wow! I can already see and feel a huge difference in my skin's hydration. I've used Aveeno products before and stopped because I wasn't loving them. Thss one is completely different! My fiancee uses it as on his tattoos and as an all over body lotion and recommended it to me. I have very sensitive and dry skin and have had alot of problems finding a lotion/cream that offers enough hydration that lasts. So far, this cream is living up to its name. Will update later.

I got eczema, so I have trouble with lotions that make me itch. I noticed that the packaging said that it even relieves eczema, so i picked it up.
Boy, this stuff absorbs fast, maybe a little too fast. I have to apply this really frequently. The tube doesnt have a lot of product either, and is pretty expensive for a lotion ($7.99CAN). It did help relieve my dry skin and it doesnt have a strong smell, so that's great.

My daughter has light excema on the back of her knees, folds of her arms and on her neck. I was looking for a gentle wash to try on her and I found this as a set at costco. The wash is very gentle. The package came with 2 wash bottle and a lotion ($11) I use one as her wash and the second one I use it to wash my face (everything else seems to dry my face and irritate it) I use a light scrub with the face wash and this is how I was my face every morning and night. My face feels so clean and not all dried up, like with some other products. I have moved my daughter to cetaphil as that is a heavier cream for her but I use the lotion on myself and it never dissapoints. I have tried high end moisturizers from dept stores but they arent moisturzing enough for me. Those other lotions seem to enhance my lines and open up my pores while with this the lines disapear and my pores arent visible.

I'm pretty disappointed by this. I found it to be noncomedogenic and safe to use on my face, and another good thing about it is that it has a non-greasy finish. The main thing I didn't like about it is that it didn't seem to impart very much moisture to the skin, only to hold it in temporarily. So when I would wash my face later, the dryness would come back. It is a touch too heavy to wear under makeup or sunscreen. As a hand cream, I much prefer the Gold Bond Ultimate Lotions to this. I also prefer the Aveeno Baby Daily Moisture Lotion over this for general purpose moisturizing on hands, face and body. With all the raves I was expecting something more, and considering what ingredients are in this, I think it is overpriced. Perhaps for people with certain skin conditions it would work, but for basic moisturizing, I wasn't impressed. Oh well, I satisfied my curiosity, but if you want to try one of these Aveeno baby lotions, I'd go with the Daily Moisture Lotion with the light blue trim on the bottle instead.

I didn't realize how much I depended on this product until I ran out. This is my standard body lotion, particularly in the winter when I am ITCHY. When I ran out of this cream, I saw Lubriderm on sale and bought that instead. Mistake! I'm itchy all over and had to rush out and buy some Aveeno, full priced, today.
Pros:
Thick, moisturizing cream - not a lotion, but not too thick to use on my legs and body
No scent
Itch reduction
Cons:
Expensive
Tube packaging (not as convenient as a pump)

I use this on my face - it's my HG face moisturizer. I have combo/sensitive skin with the occasional pimple and some clogged pores. This does not aggravate any of my issues, and actually keeps my skin soft and hydrated. Plus, it's super cheap.

Just purchased my 2'nd tube :P which is not a big deal considering the size of this tube lol. I have wasted a lot of $$$$ buying products that claim they smooth your skin, make your skin glow, helps dry itchy etc etc. They seem to work initially then something happen and they stop working. Once i started using this product, i swear no more itchy skin..i use it right after i shower while still in the bathroom. Its non sticky and feels really lightweight but super moisturizing. My only rant is the size of the tube..i wish they made the 8 oz ones..My whole family uses these and its a staple this winter..

Great if not used on a very sensitive face. I have an absurdly sensitive, rosacea-prone face and this created a mess. I had been using it on my arms and legs and all was well. However, I have dermatitis on my face and was desperate for a moisturizer that would prevent flakiness under makeup for a very special event. The results:
Good: Went on easily and smoothly. Worked very well for reducing flakiness under powder makeup
Bad: The next day, my rosacea, which I had just managed to reduce to only a small area of flat, light pink skin through extensive use of antibiotics and careful application of skin products, erupted into papules covering my whole face (usually, even a new rosacea reaction is limited--this was much worse than normal.)
A check of possible culprits per the skindeepcosmetics database:
(1) cetyl alcohol: listed as “Primary skin irritant ( human )”
(2) Ceteareth-6: description includes “not safe for use on injured or damaged skin” "One or more animal studies show skin irritation at low doses"
(3) Some of the other ingredients had not been assessed for cosmetic safety
In short, I will never use this on my face again.

I bought this yesterday and used it right away! Loved it! It really made my cracked skin smooth, and it doesn't contain any fragrance in it. So i can still wear my own perfume to sleep without smelling weird. My skin also loves the lotion and it just sucks it right away. I agree that I wish there were bigger bottles so i won't have to buy it again very soon. But this little bottle is good for carrying around too.
I give it a score 10 out of 10!

Great for sensitive reactive skin. We always keep a tube or two on hand for winter time eczema and calming overly sunned summer skin. I even use this on my face to calm rosacea outbreaks. It's amazing how it sinks right in and soothes and calms without being greasy!

This is the best cream I can find at a drugstore that moisturizes my hands. I love it! I keep it at my desk at work and apply and my hands are nice and moisturized. It's not greasy and absorbs very quickly.

I love, love, love it! It sinks right in and leaves no greasiness. I'm a culinary professional, so my hands get severely dry from washing. This cream makes them look like I've just had a spa treatment. It's a true moisture that sinks in and transforms your skin, not just an oil that settles on the top layer.
My toddler has bad eczema. We've tried OTC creams, super-expensive steroids, etc. Nothing worked. A friend suggested we try Aveeno, and it calmed his "hot spots" within 36 hours of the first application. The redness and itchy, flaky skin are gone! (I apply to his arms, legs, and back 2x/day - no high maintenance, it's great!)
Buy this product... you won't regret it!

This is the only product I've found that will keep the dry skin on my face from getting flaky without breaking me out. I though that it would be too heavy and clog my pores (which are very prone to clogging), but it doesn't at all. I use it on my face once a day and my body twice. Nothing has made my skin feel softer without breaking me out. My only problem is that I go through a lot of this lotion--2 to 3 bottles a month. continued >>

I was deciding between this and the Baby Daily Lotion and opted for this one. I get painful, scaly patches on my shins in the winter and nothing has ever helped. I shaved my legs the other day and put this on top of them--nothing has ever felt this nice on my skin post-shave. It was like baby skin on my legs! It's moisturising, non greasy, unscented and just plain fantastic. I haven't used it on my face but based on the reviews here I think I'll give it a try. I've used plenty of other unscented lotions but this is my new favourite. I think I'll pick up the Daily one for the rest of my body.
