I bought this Yardley soap at Dollar Tree over the weekend as it just caught my attention and figured I would give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised!
This is a truly wonderful soap. It says that it "gently exfoliates" and yes it does! Not only is this soap gentle on the body and lathers up very well, it smells incredible!

I love this soap! It gently exfoliates and smells very light and sweet, reminds me of almond cookies! I got it as a stocking stuffer from my mom since she couldn't afford to get me and Lush products this year, she thought it would be a nice alternative. She was right! For only being about $1 I am really please with this soap, it smells great and leaves my skin feeling really smooth and clean. I will continue to buy Yardley soaps because they are inexpensive and work well!

I wish several previous reviewers would grow some adjectives and decency -- the rude comments using "old lady" pejoratively are mean-spirited and ignorant.
Their approach to this product was also... limited. It's important to understand Yardley soaps in context -- they were one of the first commercially available milled soaps. Given a choice between homemade lye soap and a Yardley soap, these were incredible luxuries. The ingrediants are simple, and Yardley soaps have been consistently non-allergenic.
Having said that, "moisturizing" may be a bit of a misnomer in a product environment that has non-soap soaps like Tone and Dove. This is not a moisturizer with a small trace of soap that's been hardened into a soap bar. It's soap.
As "soap," it lathers, removes dirt and oil, and leaves skin clean. If I use this or any other soap, I expect all the oils and surface matter to be off my face. Since I've been bullied by reality, doctors, and intelligent friends into using sunblock durling daylight hours, and now am old enough to use night cream, moisturizing after is not a problem.
In other words, I expect soap to clean, and moisturizer to moisturize. I don't conflate the two. When I've been somewhere with limited access, Yardley soaps, including Almond and Oatmeal, are always a safe choice - they work well and never irritate my skin. I love the scent, and find nothing offensive or age-related in softly floral almond.

So I seen in a youtube video somebody picked this up so I thought I would give a shot. I tried it and absolutely hate it. First off the smell is like old lady perfume to strong and over bearing. Second it gives you that feeling of stripping all your oils and your skin feels way to slick I hate it sooooo much! I think I will stick with my dove.

I bought a bunch of these because I loved the smell and thought that it would be moisturizing, however, it isn't relaly very moisturizing. I have been using it for about 6 months, in both the summer and winter, and I feel that this soap is more drying than others I have used. I have used the Dove shea butter bar, and it was moisturizing, but left a film on my and my shower. I just want something that is cleansing after a hard workout but doesn't strip my skin or leave a film--why is that so hard?

I'm a sucker for anything almond scented, so I certainly love the smell of this soap. however, I don't understand how it can be considered "moisturizing". it makes my skin so dry and slippery and just uncomfortable. I give this soap a 3 for the scent, price, and availability, but it MUST be used with lotion afterwards, and I don't want to be required to take that extra step. I'll stick with Dove and Caress.

This is one of the worst soaps I have ever tried. This claims to be a moisturizing soap and it is not! My dish soap is more moisturizing then this cr_p!. I started to feel tight and dry before I even got out of the shower. It has a granny smell to it. I was expecting oats and a sweet almond smell. On the box it says that they started making their products in 1770 and it smells like it.

Been using this soap for about a week now, and I must say that I am very pleased. It leaves me feeling clean without that stripped feeling. Loving that it is so cheap and smells so good.

This one is so comforting to me. I think almond is probably the best smell in the world. The particles are not abrasive at all. Smells wonderful, super cheap and gentle to the skin. Whats not to love?

My mom used to buy this for me as a kid so I could feel fancy without her blowing tons of cash. Its still my everyday shower soap. Its basic, pleasant, and comforting. A big sentimental thumbs up.

My new daily HG body soap! Love the scent...I'm a sucker for anything almond, but it's not overpowering at all. I was afraid that the exfoliating granules might be too rough but they aren't harsh and don't irritate me in the least. This stuff is so cheap and unlike another reviewer, I find that it's fairly hard-milled and a bar lasts me a while. My skin is comfortable, smooth and soft. And it's one little dollar a bar!!!

I get this at the dollar tree and I like the scent. Doesn't lather up too well, but it's gentle on my skin. It's very clean smelling. I stock up on this and Pear's, which is another good soap.

I use this from tine to time. It's a nice body soap. I've used this on my face as well. But prefer it as a body soap. Just thinking about it, makes me want some.

Looooove this soap. Such a soothing scent, and I like the ground oatmeal embedded in the soap. This lathers up nicely, and there's nothing funky in the ingredients list. It doesn't leave me itchy after a shower, so I assume it's relatively moisturizing. Maybe not as moisturizing as a Dove bar, but definitely on par with the Olay soaps. Almond lovers, buy this for the scent. It's a smooth, unobtrusive almond, and not a burn-your-nosehairs-off sweet almond.

Great stuff too expensive for a bar that goes away so fast, lasts me not even an entire week.

Very nice, cheap soap! The scent is the biggest factor for me here. It is exactly as the names states it should be, nice and soft as well. It is pretty moisturizing, also. Overall, good soap!

I love the scent of this soap. It's soft and almondy, not too sweet, sharp or perfumey. Unfortunately, it's a bit drying to my skin. I don't find it particularly moisturizing. But I tend to have drier skin in winter/spring so it might be better for me in hot & humid weather. Anyway, I still love this soap. I like the way it scents the bathroom, and I like the grainy texture with the almond bits in it. continued >>

I love this soap! It smells wonderful and leaves my skin clean and soft. I have mild psoriasis that acts up from time to time and this soap is one of the few things that does not aggravate it and keeps me nicely moisturized right out of the shower. Can't beat that for $1.20 per bar!!

I'm not a fan of oatmeal/almond scents in general, but this soap smells yummy--like cookies, but is not too sweet or overbearing. The bar itself is a pale cream color and has tiny exfoliating beads in it. Not sure who this would help since I don't know anyone who rubs the actual bar of soap against their parts. The lather is very creamy and made my skin (I'm not particularly dry, however, and it is summer now) feel nicely moisturized. I barely felt the need to moisturize separately afterwards (though I did anyway). It's not as moisturizing as Dove, but that also means it doesn't get as mushy and sludgy either (important if multiple people shower in the morning). Cheap too--would def. repurchase.
