this product it wonderful! i purchased peony and it looks so perfect on me. i have tons of other expensive glosses and lipsticks, but this looks better than most of them. plus, it is so easy to use--it's like carrying around chapstick in your pocket. i don't even have to look in a mirror as i quickly add a little bit. it feels so silky and it gives my lips (which are usually very dry) lot's of moisture. at $14 it's not dirt cheap, but it costs less than most glosses/lipsticks. plus, aveda products are much better for the environment and you! i just repurchased, and am considering a few other colors (apricot is also great)
These are truly AMAZING - I was always a lipstick girl before but these are way better. You can have a lipstick look by applying generously but the thing I love the best is by applying just a little bit and rubbing lips together - you end up with an incredible lush but natural looking stain which is truly delicious. If you try to do that with lipstick you end up with dry chapped lipsbut due to the moisturizing base, it work with these tints.
I think its the semi-satin texture which gives just enough to look pouty but not so much that you have the "I'm wearing lippie" look.
I have verbena and berry which are practically the same on my lips. OK I think berry is a touch more red but the way I wear them (muted), you can't really tell the differece. I have been trying to snaffle a couple tubes of peony for the bare-faced look but they are always sold out.
Price is expensive for a lip balm but the way I use, as a lippie, they are a bargain.
For asian girls with NC25-30 I highly reccomend you try the verbena, it is an amazing color that really lifts the look of your face.
I have this in Spice, and I used to have it in Apricot. It's great! It tastes yummy, it gives great colour and shimmer, it's moisturising and long lasting, and it has an SPF of 15.
I have these lip tints in Verbena, Copper, Apricot, Spice, Currant, and Garneta Swirl. Love them! I like to wear lip color, but I also like something sheer and natural looking, that I can apply without a mirror, but that looks "done" and provides color, as well as hydration. These tints fit the bill to a T. They are the consistency of a Chapstick, waxy, and do feel fairly hydrating, but not greasy or oily like many tinted balms. They provide enough color to be used in lieu of a lipstick (I actually threw all of my lipsticks away after buying these!), and the color lasts very well. It fades almost like a lip stain, and doesn't leave your lips feeling dry and parched. They are a tad pricey, but IMHO they are very worth it. Copper is the most metallic of all of the colors, and it can feel a tad gritty. Apricot and Spice are both very sheer warm colors, and Verbena is more of a brownish-mauvey-red that goes with darn near anything. Currant is more of a cool burgundy-cranberry color with purple tones, and Garneta Swirl (which I believe was a limited edition) is almost a cocoa color with a hint of shimmer. These also have SPF, so you really can't go wrong. Will definitely repurchase!

I have this in Apricot and its a beautiful natural colour without being overly pink. The moisturising qualities could be better but its not bad. Will buy again but probably a different shade just to see the range.

Aveda lip tint in peony is my every day gloss...it gives natural color and shine, moisturizes, and has SPF. My favorite!
I generally avoided the Lip Tints, because none of the colors were what I wanted. I wanted a natural-looking reddish or pink, MLBB color, and nothing matched, not even Berry, which turned out to have a copper-brown sheen that I hated. However, I sort of lamented it because the ingredients are incredible, stellar, and fantastic, and I love the texture. Not many lip balms out there have some of the extracts and oils that Aveda's Lip Tint has.
Recently, I went into an Aveda shop and saw a new Lip Tint, called Frosted Tulipa. It looked much more natural than the others -- the swatch on the box was a deep pink. I tried it on and decided that I really liked it.
Frosted Tulipa seems to be a frosted, shimmery pink, but not too pale that it makes you look washed out. It definitely stands out, in a subtle way. It looks like the natural color of heathy pink lips. This was pretty much what I wanted, so I bought it and I'm keeping it for good. I could do without the frost, but I'll admit it does add dimension.
Now, Aveda just needs to make a clear version of the Lip Tint, and I'd be set for life!

I have this in Peony and Apricot. (I'm fair with very dark brown hair.) I love that it's packaged in a lip balm tube, because I'm not a lipstick person at all, and this just adds to my feeling that this is a low-maintenance, weekend product. I use it when I want a touch of color. I find it very moisturizing and I love the smell. The colors are so-so; there's not a lot of depth to them.
I got this in Verbena, a sheer warm color. It's very moisturizing which I love & it's great for an un-made up look. The smell is a lttle strange but not too strong. I had this in Berry before they reformulated (when they were in a cream colored tube) & the new formula is better. This is very sheer on me which is not something I always like, but sometimes it's what I want. continued >>
