I am actually in love with this lotion, and am so sad that the whole line has been discontinued! Really wish Avon would bring it back :(

absoulutly love this. the scent is sweet and mellow and when used with the hand in hand sugar scrub my skin feels at its best. It toally made my skin feel like I was wraped in silk. Left my skin feeling smooth and soft that people had comented in a very positive way. I recomend this to any one with dry, thisrty, rough skin.

UPDATE: WOULD NOT CONSIDER DUE TO ANIMAL TESTING FOR CHINESE MARKET 17/02/2012 This was one of my favorite body cremes. I say creme because it was thick and provided deep moisture, loved the smell. I felt like I was putting on chocolate. Lucky I still have 2 tubes left. I don't know why Avon does this. When I was a rep, this was one of my best sellers along with the SSS Light & Lush line. Those lines, as well as others that have bene discontinued where doing very well because they where good. This is one of the reasons I stoped selling their products. It was hard to keep a following. They keep launching new and "improved" products and get rid of those that in many cases could become staples for the company. Anyway, like in other instances it might come back under a different name. continued >>

This was an absolute favorite of mine but I do believe it is discontinued. I loved the sweet smell of it and I felt pampered after applying it. I haven't seen it in caralogues lately but did see it in an outlet flyer and tried to order more from there but they were sold out.

I normally am not a Naturalist when it comes to my taste in body products. The more chemicals the better I say-well this product is the exception. It goes on like butter has a unique fragrance, and when I wake up in the morning, my legs and arms are still soft! This is short of a miracle since my skin just soaks up everything I apply and demands more in a few hours. I love this product, but rumors have it that Avon is about to discontinue this line of products. Get it while you can. This is absolutely my favorite body product and I've tried them all from high to low end, this stuff stands on its own as being a superior moisturizer. THe tube I have calls it a moisture body mask, implying you should apply it, let it dry, then rinse. Don't do it! Leave it on and I think you will love the results! Also a great buy at $@2.99 for a 5 oz. tube! Ask your Avon lady for a discount to try it-as an Avon Rep myself, I always give a good discount for a first run with a product, and if you don't ask, chances are she won't give!

I first seen my sister using this n i fell in love with the smell. I only paid 5.99 for it n the amount is pretty decent especially since a little goes a very long way. Also the scent is pretty strong so you dont want to use too much. It does smell like caramel corn/butter but in a nice desserty kind of way lol. My mother smelt it n thought i smelt like cookies which she was a bit confused as to why i would want to smell like that. A friend of mine loved the smell n ordered it as well where as another one of my friends said it has a odd smell to it. I guess it boils down to prefernce. I hate smellig like the regular lotions; Jergens, Vasaline, Lubraderm....which are all great lotions but im not a fan of the smell. This lotion does hydrate the skin n leave it with a nice glow, Not oily or anything but a nice refreshing look.

Loved Avon Meditaranean olive oil hair mask and it smelled wonderful so thought I'd try this body butter since I love exotic smelling lotion but this lotion smells fruity-sour? for shea butter..thickness was nice but not the smell. wouldn't buy again. for deep conditioning buy Curel and for smell I'll stick with Bath&Body Works apple or pomegranite continued >>

I don't know if this cream works because the first time I used it I gagged on the scent and immediately gave it away. Even after attempting to wash it off, I still smelled it. ICK!!!!

Love this to bits!! The best part is the scent - smells like caramel popcorn! But people seem to be very divided about the scent - either like it or hate it. I love it! The scent tends to linger. Yum.
as for the product itself, is pretty average. Good texture and absorbs well without being sticky or greasy (though does leave oily marks on my laptop as i'm typing this up after applying on my hands). Packaging is cheap - plastic tub (and i dont like dipping my fingers in tubs - prefer tube packaging).
I'm not going to order more, in case i get sick of the scent soon...
ETA: the scent is no longer as nice as I 1st got it. (this is a week later) It tends to have a slight alcohol (?) smell after application. Not sure why. But still quite pleasant.

I had actually ordered this before coming here to see reviews. I hoped for the best. The product itself it great. It does what it says. BUT the fragrance isn't bad if you like smelling like candy. To me it's a sweet toffee coated popcorn smell, just as another poster described. I don't like sweet fragrance or to smell like food. I am giving it to my granddaughter who thinks it great (she's only 10). But I will not repurchase and continue my quest for a great shea butter lotion.

I love this body butter. My skin is very dry and it is a very smooth and silky balm that isn't too thick or greasy. I really like the cocobuttery smell.

I'm an Avon rep and I have a hard time selling this product because of it's scent, but I love it. Would give it a 5 rating, but too many people hate the scent of it. The smell, to me, is caramel corn (makes me think of fair grounds and carnivals) and that's just fine with me. Love the texture of it and it's a great moisturizer. It's major selling point? It immediately eases the pain of razor burn. Put it on right after shaving (esp. underarms) and the sting is gone!

I can see why other ladies here abhorred the smell of this body butter - I was given this as a gift a couple of years ago and thought there was something wrong with it, that it might be gone off.... I actually went back to it every so often, smelled it and wondered what the hell was going on with this stuff! I used it about twice before binning it. However, I received a gift of the body butter again from another person about a year later and fell madly in love with it!! It moisturises like no other body lotion (excepting Nivea perhaps which is choc full of chemicals and not pleasant to use) and really and truly lasts ALL day. If I use this before bed, my skin is so soft even after showering the next morning. The scent can be a grower so hang on to it before binning/giving it away as like me, your opinion of it may change. The tub lasted me approx one year with at least weekly use which makes it a very economical purchase.

I specifically sought this out despite not seeing it in the Avon catalogue for several months because I loved the scent of the African Shea Butter Scrub. However this was a disappointment in that it didnt replicated the scrub's scent. I'm not sure how to describe what it is I dont like about the scent but I just feel like its a little bit off. I keep on using it as I hate to be wasteful but I am weary that people might think I smell bad. Definately not a repurchase for me.

It is really hard to put my finger on what this smells like exactly. Definately buttery, teeny bit chocolatey, vanilla and some coconut, maybe? At first, i was a little put off by the smell, but have come to really like it. The texture id really neat. It definately looks whipped in the tub, feels silky going on , and is more like a thick cream. It dries quickly, doesn't leave a greasy film and feels like it really sinks into your skin. I really like this and hope it is around a long time, however this tub is going to take me forever to use up.

I have purchased this product a couple of times, and I absolutely love it. I really like the scent, its kind of a buttery cocoa scent, but I can see how some people may not be into that. Other than that, my skin is so soft from using this product, and I, too, like to use it after shaving and a little on my eyebrows after they get waxed. It's also useful in helping to reduce the appearance of scars and stretch marks, so I definitely recommend it!
