I'm surprised at the low rating, given the results I personally achieved. I think the less-than-elegant texture and color of this serum could be to blame, but if you can get past that, it is really an excellent product and a great value. I used this last summer and found my skin improving greatly. I am 44 and am starting to show some signs of aging. I thought that this product made my skin smoother, softer, and more even-toned. It also has a ton of antioxidants. I wore it at night only so I didn't have to deal with the color or stickiness during the daytime. And it is designed to be worn at night, after all!
The stickiness is not that bad. You only need a small amount of product to cover your face. It does eventually soak in, and in the morning, your face is smooth, not sticky or greasy.
I used up my last bottle, and true to my product-junkie personality, moved onto other products. I coudn't find anything in my price range that I liked, so in desperation I grabbed some Olay products at the drugstore. They are doing nothing for my skin, so I am happily switching back to this. It does as great a job as high-end products for a fraction of the cost, and doesn't contain harmful ingredients. It always amazes me how many parabens and cheap oils are in the expensive dept. store brands! Give this a try--it really is good.

I like so far. Its a light liquid moisturizer and its very hydrating. The bottle is awesome, has a pump and is air tight. Love the look of the product too, its a dark greenish brown, now your prob. like ew but i like it cause it shows how natural it is, no false coloring. The texture of it on you skin is a lil sticky and adds a slight tint to you skin (very faint though) but its fine cause your wearing it at night. The hydration last too, all throughout the night. so over all a very nice treatment to give your skin :)

I love this nighttime moisturizer, have bought it twice and after trying so many different products with no good results, am going back to Vegecell. I have combination skin and this cream did not break me out and I loooove the texture (although apparently everyone else seems to hate it) I feel like this really protects my skin and in the morning my face is nice and smooth. I also love Aubrey organics Lumessence cream, which I've been using for quite a while now. No chemicals, no nasty synthetics. They smell kinda funky but it doesn't bother me at all, knowing that I'm doing so well for my skin. Will definitely purchase again.

I like the idea of green tea and vegetable based moisturizers, but this goes on icky gooey sticky and stays that way. It does moisturize, for sure, but I ended up using it on my arms or as a "mask" around the house. This is one of the pitfalls of natural product lines-they don't contain all the silicones and mineral waxes that make them feel "silky smooth" upon and after application. To boot, the color is hideous. I'll put up with a lot from a good all-nat product, but this is just too much for me.

I have a book called Herbal Healing that lists herbs to use topically, and internally, for fighting wrinkles, free radicals, and the effects of pollution and so on. The ingredients in this serum are many of the ones listed in this book. So because of this I decided to buy the serum. I cannot say if it works well though since it clogged my pores and broke my skin out so I ended up having to discontinue use. Gave it a 5 for the great ingredients but I can't, sadly, repurchase.

I had tried this Vegecell about 8 months ago and unlike the other Aubrey products I liked, I hated this one. My skin got red blotchy reactions, so I shelved it thinking I would just use it someday on the back of my hands or on some less-sensitive skin. (I had waited too long so I couldn't return it to the store). My skin is very sensitive and reacts to so many things anyway, so I chalked it up to this product just not being good for me.
Well, my skin was looking really bad lately from trying out some different product lines. I was even considering something like Olay to rescue it, even though I believe and prefer natural stuff, and know that the chemical "miracles" are simply temporary plump-fixes that in the long run make the skin age faster. But I saw this Vegecell in the cupboard, and something made me try it again now. This time for some reason, my skin is loving it. My pores are noticeably smaller and the skin texture is getting so smooth and youthful looking. I am amazed at the difference, and I am getting no red blotchy reaction! It looks FLAWLESS, as a matter of fact, and that is unusual for my skin! Yes, it does have a stickiness which is why it is for nighttime, but if you don't layer it on thick, it is fine. I definitely say to try it again, ladies, if you didn't like it before, because you might be surprised this time. It also cleared up some little pimples that had popped up this past weekend when trying a Dr. Bronner soap. Each day my skin is looking more and more like those people who have that peaches and cream poreless skin.

I have been using this for 2 days and my skin is definitely smoother. It says it's for Normal, Oily and Sensitive Skin and mine is dry and sensitive but I bought it anyway because I thought the ingredients looked great.
I agree with other reviews that it feels a little sticky going on but the stickiness disappears pretty quickly for me. There is very little scent which I appreciate.
I don't really like the glass bottle - I'd prefer plastic because it's lighter to travel with. A small amount is sufficient for the entire face and neck so even though you don't get a lot of product in the bottle, I think it will last awhile.
I will try to update once I have been using it for a longer period of time. So far, so good! It doesn't make my skin red which a lot of products do and it seems to have reduced the flakiness I had in the mouth and nose area.

Instead of moisturizing and improving my skin tone, Vegecell just left my face very sticky and smelling like a bizarre vegetable puree (which I suppose is basically what it is). I expected a lot more for the price.

Still in search of an 'organic' hydrator... not sure if this or something else caused the reaction, either way, it's a sticky, gel-like substance that seemed to just sit there. Didn't do anything for me. Quick return.

Ingredients: (Vegetable Glycerin, Algae Extract, Organic Aloe Vera, Sea Herbal Complex (Bladderwrack, Laminaria), Witch Hazel (Natural Herbal Extract), Natural Grain Alcohol, Deionized Water; Extracts of Calendula, Roman Camomile, Linden, Echinacea, German Camomile, St. John's Wort, Watercress, Burdock, Sage, Lemon, Ivy, Soapwort, Meadowsweet, Clematis, Horsetail and Coltsfoot; Green Tea Powder (Matcha), Panthenol (Vitamin B-5), Glucose, Fructose, Sucrose, Alanine, Glutamic Acid, Nicotinic Acid, Linoleic Acid (Vitamin F), Calendula Oil, Aubrey's Preservative (Citrus Seed Extract, Vitamins A, C and E)
--- I'm still on the fence for this one. The good points are that it's relatively inexpensive ($15.75 for 1 oz) and has a great ingredient roster. However, it's more like a straight out oil feel upon the skin and I've noticed that I have to use blotting papers and pressed powder alot more than usual when I put this on. Still, I haven't experienced any breakouts, so, none of the oils appear to be bad for my skin. I don't think I will repurchase this as on top of the oil slick I've turned into, I do not notice any positive improvements in my skin. A very average product that is better in theory than execution.
