This is something I like to use around my eyes nightly and on dry spots as needed. In the winter, or when I feel that I need a bit more hydration, I'll mix in two or three drops of this oil with my regular moisturizer. A little goes a long way! If you use too much, your face can end up looking very greasy.

I like patting this underneath my eyes at night before bed. I have absolutely seen a reduction in the puffiness of my under eyes when I wake up. I don't always remember to put it on, so I can say that I've seen a difference.
And unsurprisingly, no eye irritation. :) I can always count on Burt's Bees to make things that won't irritate my sensitive skin.

When I first bought this about a year ago and started using it, I really didn't notice that big of a difference. I went back and forth between using it once a day and then twice a day, not really thinking I noticed a difference. It made my eye makeup look a little greasy if I put it on over this. After switching back and forth between a few products and then coming back to this serum, I find that it really does make a difference in how my under eye area looks in the morning. I apply this after washing my face in the PM and then go to bed and my eye area looks smoother and brighter in the morning. It can be a little irritating to my eye area if I get it too close. However, I will definitely be repurchasing this, but it is hard to find. The packaging leaves a little something to be desired, wish it came in a pump instead.

I use this repair serum (really a mix of botanical oils) as my night cream. Love it - it's my new favorite thing. Smells wonderful without being icky-sweet. This really pampers my skin, and I wake up a baby-soft face. I can also use it around my eyes without either 1) irritating my eyes, or 2) making them puffy because the skin can't "breathe". I like Burt's pomegranate oil also; often a store will have one or the other, so I just buy whichever is in stock.
I have tried several Burt's Bees products, with mixed results. I like that Burt's has mostly natural ingredients, but sometimes that backfires, like the body butter that grew black mold...ewww. I'm glad I kept trying different Burt's products, because I found this one!

I'm not quite sure what the big deal is about this product. It's an oil and not good for the eye area. When put it around my eyes it migrated into my eyes and irritated them. Nor did I see great results.
On the plus side it is a natural product and comes in a nice glass bottle. It might be good for other purposes. But it did not work for me as an eye treatment.
My search for the HG eye treatment continues...

My skin is dry but prone to cystic acne. I use three little drops of this all over my face under my moisturizer, and I feel like it really amplifies the effects of the moisturizer -- wake up with really plump and glowy skin. I also use it in the daytime and it soaks in pretty well, leaving skin with a little slip. I'm starting to see some fine lines, and while this doesn't really help with that, it does help a lot with keeping my skin hydrated and protected during exceptionally harsh winters. I've also used it on my hair and hands. The price is reasonable, but remember it's not a huge amount -- you can also get a Dr Hauschka oil for less, and those are fully certified organic, but I love the results I get from this. I also find the scent incredibly calming, but maybe it's just the same smell that one gets when entering a health food store and the associated feelings of calm and good health.... This is nearly impossible to find! It's best to order it online.

I'm on my third bottle of this serum/oil. I didn't really appreciate the serum until I was on my second bottle, this is when I started using it religously in the morning under my moisturizer. I use a dab under my eyes as well as on my smile lines. My skin sucks this up especially during the winter. I use it very sparingly during the warmer months. I would say that the skin around my eyes has minimal lines/wrinkles and I feel that the serum is keeping the skin around my eyes plump. A bottle lasts me about a year. I will continue using this, I love the smell and it feels so soothing on my face.

I've been using this serum religiously for a year now, and I have to say I'm impressed. I use it around my eyes and on my laugh lines, where I had begun to show increased creasing, and I've seen definite improvement in both areas. I use it over moisturizer, and apply it right before I go to sleep. It is not a substitute for moisturizer, but rather keeps it locked in.
While I have sensitive skin, this has not made me break out but with the oily texture, I could see it causing problems for some.
Pros:
- Works beautifully, even on my sun damaged, super abused skin.
- No purging period.
- One vial lasts forever. Seriously. I've been using it daily for a year, and I'm just done with about a third of the bottle.
Con:
- The biggest drawback for me is the packaging. I'm not docking any points for it because the pros far outweigh this issue, but I'd love to see some easier to use packaging.
- This is for people who wear glasses. Ideally I'd like to put it on after I wash my face and let the moisturizer sink in for a few minutes but it's a bad idea. I have to use this right before I plan to go to sleep because when I use it around my eyes, it gets my lashes so oily that my glasses get smudged without fail, and it takes forever to get them clean.

I agree with a previous poster. I guess I expected a lot more out of this product due to all the positive reviews on this site. I don't find this to have much moisturizing benefit at all. My brow and eyelid area are still very dry after I wash my face in the morning, as if the oil has not really sunk into the skin and is just sitting on top. As far as any "repair" benefits, I have yet to see those as well and I've been using this product for many months. I see no change in the fine lines starting along the bottom of my eyes and as mentioned before, no moisturizing for my brow area, which is always quite dry during the winter. Back to square one for me! Definitely won't buy this again and will probably only use as a cuticle oil going forward.

Weird but....I just don't see what the fuss is over this product. I use it while my face and hands are still damp. I add a drop to my hands and then quickly spread onto my face and neck. I never see any amazing results or moisturizing effects (though with other cream or oil moisturizers, I have and do see positive effects...).
In addition, even dabbing this oh-so-delicately around the outer perimeter of my eyes, the oil and/or scent apparently still irritates my eyes, and so they 'leak' a bit while I'm sleeping. The dried tears around my eye area then cause my eyes to look worse in the morning, not better, and the skin around my eyes is actually dry looking. When I use my usual cream eye moisturizer, the results are much better.
So for me, this product has zero benefits. I would not buy it again.
The only positive is that the bottle is nice, and the smell.

First of all, I don't know how this oil, or oil in general for that matter, can make one's skin even drier than it was before, as one of the reviewers below me mentioned. That just doesn't even make any sense!
I recently purchased this at a health food store. I am a big fan of Burt's Bees products so it didn't surprise me that I would LOVE this product. I've been using it both day and night- dabbing a drop or two under my eyes, on my super dry forehead, and even around the part where the laugh lines will eventually develop! I use it after I cleanse and before I put on my eye cream and La Mer moisturizer. This is amazing stuff! I feel like my skin is just so much more hydrated throughout the day and when I wake up, my skin feels amazing! Especially in these colder months that approach.
You're not supposed to use a lot of this as it supposed to be dabbed on gently. The bottle resembles somewhat of a test tube and this product smells fantastic! Thank you, Burt's Bees for yet another outstanding product!!!

I give this a four because the bottle is quite fragile and the price is less than ideal for a college student's budget. Otherwise, if I put it on my face before going to bed, I wake up with a nice glow to my skin.

I would say this does an average job of treating dry skin. I use this all over my face as well as around my eye area and I haven't found a significant improvement in solving my dry spots and evening out skin tone or texture. Admittedly I don't recall that the serum claims to do all of these things but I was disappointed to find that not only did my skin feel just as dry after absorption, but after using this every night on my eyes I woke up to even drier skin than before. I use this under my favourite moisturiser and i find that my moisturiser actually works better on its own rather than coupled with the serum.
Another problem I had with this was the smell. I have never been a fan of lavender and the lavender scent in this is so so strong that it drives me nuts. Luckily it somewhat fades eventually but the smell can transfer onto my pillowcase or clothes if i use this on my neck. The ingredients list looked so promising and I was really disappointed when it didnt work for me.

Bought this because of the rave reviews on MUA and was initially a little underwhelmed. I thought it was too oily and was afraid it would give me milia. Recently i rediscovered it in my dresser and started using it every night on the area under my eyes and it's great! In the morning my eyes are not as puffy as they usually are, and any fine lines are plumped and smoothed. It also has a relaxing lavender smell which helps me sleep. My only gripe is that i wish it did not come in a glass bottle because I'm clumsy and it's prone to toppling over! That said, the amount in the bottle is very generous and will last me a very veryyy long time!

Bought this product about 6 months ago based on the glowing reviews on here. The skin under my eyes is unusually thin and sensitive and I'm always on the lookout for rich, gentle, preferably natural products to moisturise that area of my face. This serum is full of good, natural stuff, mainly oils of various origins. I love to slather this product under my eyes and on dry patches elsewhere on my face. Even so, I have barely used 1/4 of the bottle in 6 months so it will last you a good long while. It never broke me out and leaves my combination skin soft and hydrated. I haven't noticed any improvement of my fine lines so it's definitely no miracle product (then again, I don't believe such a thing exists).
As far as I understand, it's normally a fairly affordable product but since I live in Europe, I had to order it on line and it ended up costing me 23 euros with S&H so quite expensive after all. Still, well worth it, IMO. And like many have mentioned, a little goes a loooong way.
One thing I'm not too keen of is the strong lavender smell. It's not an offensive smell per se but it reminds me of my grandmother who puts little bags of lavender in her wardrobe chest so her clothes smell nice. So of course, I will always associate this particular smell with old ladies. Not particularly sexy :) continued >>

This is a great product. It smells wonderful and natural and lasts forever (I’ve had my bottle for over a year and there’s still half left.) It keeps my dry skin super hydrated without being oily. I use a tiny drop or two and mix it in with my normal face moisturizer. It hasn’t done anything to get rid of fine lines but since I’ve been using it the all over tone and appearance of my skin has improved. This isn't a miracle product for wrinkles but it's a great moisturizer that will last you forever. I’ll definitely buy it again.

Did nothing for my fine lines, honestly, I gave it about a month. I don;t like its feeling on my face. I'll try to finish it since it is supposed to be very good for the skin. But I'll never buy it, as I could not finish one bottle in 3 years!

Smells great! You only need a drop or two at a time so it lasts forever. It hydrates your skin well and it shouldn't make your skin oily (unless you use too much like I do).

Good product. I like the consistency and the smell. This serum moisturized my skin well but did not reduce fine lines or puffiness or address any issues. I used it for a few months before writing this review. If you only need a good moisturizing oil, go for it. It won't hurt combination or dry skin.
