I have to admit I hadn't bought a Clinique product for over twenty years, but someone recommended a specific shade in this for me, so I decided to try it. I figured if the shade was indeed a good match I would then use it to find a match in another product, as I tend to need (or felt I needed) something more moisturising. Well, I've been pleasantly surprised. First the match was correct (14N - no idea what I am in MAC - had been wearing NARS MontBlanc for years but decided it was a teensy bit too pink... I presume the N means neutral), but what's more I actually really like the formula. It doesn't add moisture but it's not drying either, so as long as I am on top of my skin with my exfoliating/moisturising it's fine (it will show up flaky bits if not), and it sinks in and totally disappears. Provides totally smooth and even coverage without being detectable on the skin. I'm glad I tried it and will stick with it. Oh, and the price is loads better than similar products I had been using.

I got this product as a gift (in 01 N, for shade reference), and I am VERY happy with it. I find it applies best with your fingertips. It has a very natural, satiny finish which I love. It blends very nicely into the skin; like it says, it looks "perfectly real". I don't really have anything bad to say about this product. It feels very lightweight on the skin, I can't even tell it's there, the finish is gorgeous, and it's light-medium coverage but buildable.

Pros:
- I'm not an allergic person, but I get irritated and get itchy when I wear foundation. This product didn't cause any irritation or anything like that. It feels very light on the skin.

Cons:
- It contains not one but FIVE different parabens. Google the ingredients, then google the health risks of parabens. This is something important for me, I prefer a paraben-free cosmetic product and I strongly recommend you to do the same for your own health.

- This doesn't do the best job at covering blemishes. I'm a natural redhead and I have quite a lot of light-colored freckles on my face. I wasn't trying to cover them, but if I did, it would not work with this foundation.

- No sunscreen. If I'm going to give 25$ to a 30ml foundation, I expect it to have a little sunscreen too.

This is by far my favorite foundation that I have ever used. I am currently using Bareminerals powder and mineral veil, but it's just not doing it for me. The Perfectly Real foundation glides on so smoothly, especially with a primer, and set with a loose powder it stays all day. It has shimmery particles in it that give your skin a nice, natural glow, but I'm more of a matte girl so I always apply a powder. I love that it comes in so many shades, so whether it was summer or winter I could always find my correct color. I get the best application with a little foundation brush, and that keeps everything tidier which is great. It's fairly pricy, but it's a department store brand, so that's to be expected. Overall, I would say this product is a must-buy, or at least a must-try for people with combination skin and I can't wait for my Bareminerals to run out so I can repurchase!

This is my fav cosmetic item. Not that I use it on everyday. I am NC25 according to MAC people, however when I tried MAC foundations I found them very heavy, thick and had a mask feeling on my face, which is strange as I never cover my whole face with foundation such as those remote areas like forehead, neck and around ears.
This foundation is quite expensive but it has reasonably good staying power of around 5-6 hours ( I get really sweaty and shiny whatever I use anyway). Sales staff usually have no clue about matching these foundations to your exact skin color. So you have to be extra careful to try it on in the day light as well as the stores fake lighting. My color is 08(N). You have to be aware of these N,C,P letterings next to the numbers they come in when purchasing one of these. I am loving its consistency, medium coverage and the youthful real look that it gives me. I must admit that I use it sparingly, just to look more natural also not to faint with the masky feeling usually foundations give me. It is much more breathable and than MAC. It never breaks me up provided that I cleanse at the end of the day I use. I set it up with the Clinique Gently Light Powder in Glow03, viola! Super youthful, radiant and fresh face. I have tried all good brands except from La Praire, probably this is the best one for me.

I tried this because in hopes it would be good for an natural everyday, non-irritating foundation. However, it did not work out for me. I found it very drying. As soon as I applied it, I could see a very powdery finish on my skin and especially my pores. It really accentuated the bad parts of my skin and made my face feel very dry. No matter how much water or fixing spray I used, the finish would not improve. My skin isn't even that dry. I gave this about a week, trying to apply it different ways but it is just not for me.

I really like this foundation -- I have used shades 12 and 24 depending on the time of yr. I have been using various types of Clinique foundation for about fifteen years now. I tend to stick with Clinique, because I found that drugstore foundations have too much of a chalky white or red undertone that does not match with my more yellow-based skintone (I am Asian). Also, I don't break out with Clinique.

This product is light and blendable, easy to apply with fingers or a brush, and gives a natural look. It works well on combination to oily skin types. I probably wouldn't recommend it on dry skin, bc at the end of the day, it does stick to the dry patches and show the "cracks" more.

It doesn't provide the best coverage, so I wouldn't recommend if you want to completely hide a lot of larger blemishes/spots. However, Clinique foundations are designed for a more natural, non-cakey look (the name "perfectly real" says it all). I personally think makeup is meant to enhance, not hide, your natural beauty, so I prefer this foundation over a more heavier one that would have deeper coverage. If you like the heavy stage-makeup brands, you probably won't like this product.

This foundation really highlighted my dry patches and seemed to dry my skin out more than it already was. It also settled into my fine lines under my eyes. I LOVE the Superbalanced foundation and was hoping that this would be as good or better..but it isn't.

When I bought this product, I was looking for a foundation that would cover the dark redness on my cheeks, while being safe for my sensitive skin. After a couple uses, I decided it's just the average foundation. Medium coverage, natural finish. Didn't cover my redness completely like I was hoping it would. I will continue to look for a foundation for sensitive skin that will completely cover my redness. This would be a good foundation for someone with sensitive skin who has redness that isn't as severe, or would just like to get an even skin tone.

Ooooh, this MIGHT be HG for me. I have quite literally tried every single brand out there. Don't believe me? PM me and I'll show you the list. I tried this my freshman year of college and I remember really liking it. I thought it was discontinued, but I saw it back at stores and I was so happy. One of my biggest problems is that my face/neck and chest are different colors. What I like about this foundation is that it is slightly translucent so it blends very nicely into my skin to make everything match. It photographs well and it looks incredibly natural on my skin. The minute I ditched BareMinerals (sadly) and switched to this, my skin began to clear up. I have combo skin and this stays on all day with some blotting after about 6 hours. I will continue to repurchase.
