I started using this product about 3 months ago because of the positive reviews and comments I had seen on MUA. I have oily, sensitive skin and was in the midst of what was an unusually bad breakout for me (stress-related). My problem is that the products that I use to treat my acne (2.5% BP usually) can make my face so dry, flaky, and red that I'd almost rather have the acne. This product has been a miracle for me. It moisturizes and calms my skin enough that I don't have any irritation from the BP, and I've actually been able to go back to just using BP a few times a week. Most days, I just use Magic White Ice, and my skin hasn't looked this good in ages. If there was one thing that initially bothered my about the product, it would be the scent. If you've ever used ARCONA products, you might be familiar with that strong, sweet cranberry fragrance. It is a lot stronger than I would like to have in a skin care product, but I've gotten used to it, and I'm happy to put up with the fragrance because of the benefits I've seen from this product. Highly recommended for oily skin.

When I first used this moisturizer, I wasn't sure if I liked it or not. I'm used to thick lotions, and the texture of this is really runny, and serum-y. I have dry patches in winter, and when I first started using this I wasn't sure if it helped, but after a few days I loved it. In conjunction with desert mist, it really seals in moisture and I love the scent and have learned to love the texture. It smells really light and fruity; throughout the day I get whiffs of it but it's not an overpowering scent. Overall, if you're used to thicker lotions like me, the texture takes a little getting used to, but afterwards you won't be able to go back to regular facial lotions after you've tried this since it does the job so well.

Love this moisturizer. I use it in the morning under my makeup. I love the finish it leaves on my face while slightly moisturizing and being packed with great stuff! Perfect for summer for me however still not heavy enough for night use. I still use my CD La Mer for night. Sometimes you can find a larger 1.7 ounce size at Nordstroms during their sales. Smells nice and soaks in quickly as well.

I love magic white ice! I have oily, yet dehydrated, skin and this moisturizer is wonderful. I also love how it smells - I didn't appreciate it at first, but now it's my favorite part of my skin routine. It also helps with the small flakes I tend to get on my face. It makes my face feel smooth, calm, and hydrated. I'm so thankful to have read about it on the board, as I tried a lot of moisturizers but none of them worked for me. I like the packaging, and it honestly only takes a small amount to use on my face and neck. I'm on my second bottle and will continue to repurchase!

Overall, I love this gel-based lotion. I seriously struggle to find products that I can use on my face that don't freak my skin out. I have SD and rosacea-prone skin, so it seems like I react to everything! Arcona's Magic White Ice seems to calm my skin down though. It's not super moisturizing but it does provide some moisture. My complaints are that it is pricey and I go through it really quickly. And that the pump is annoying to work with sometimes, depending on the bottle. But overall, it is a great moisturizer and I keep buying it! Also, here in LA you can find it at some local shops & boutiques so you don't have to order it online. continued >>

I love this product!! I bought one of the sample kits after discussing my skin with an arcona rep at the department store and have not used any other products on my skin since! Having dry, sensitive, AND acne prone skin at the same time can be challenging finding a good moisturizer. Magic White ice is the perfect mosituizer for me. It mositurizes, does not irritate my skin, and does not break me out.

I adore this stuff! I have tried anything from Dermalogica, Aveda, La prairie, nothing at all, to Arcona. This stuff is truely magical! I have combination skin/normal skin, and I work in Iraq. The summer heat really beats down, and makes me sweat, and with this stuff soaking straight into my skin from the time I put it on, I dont have to worry about all of it sweating off my face. I have minimal to no break outs, and I always feel nice and hydrated. Definitely recommended to anyone who lives/work in extreme temperatures!

Magic White Ice is a lightweight gel that gives a nice hydration and softness to the skin. I started off with a travel size .5 oz and it lasted about 6 weeks. I use MWI in the morning only and 1 pump is enough for my face. I like how it hydrates without being heavy or sticky. My skin feels soft and smooth and I haven't had a single breakout from it. If my skin feels like it needs more moisture I layer Arcona Desert Mist on top.

Hi! I like the Arcona line and have used the raspberry pads, tea tree mask, wine hydrating mask & the cranberry gommage but the magic white ice broke me out horribly! I was using it for a few weeks and began noticing small bumps and whiteheads on my face. I took a break from the product for while to check if it was the cause and the problems stopped. I went back on after a week and it started again and then I stopped permanently and tossed it in the bin :(
A shame because I really wanted to like this product! continued >>

This is a great moisturizer! I love how it leaves no residue on my skin and is instantly absorbed. It does not cause milia or any breakouts. I think it is just as moisturizing as heavier creams I have used in the past, minus the greasy feel and breakouts. I am ordering my second bottle.

This is a great moisturizer for those whose have oily, acne prone, or dehydrated skin. It is the only one that I feel doesn't sit on top of my skin. This would probably not be enough for dry skin, however if you have dry skin, or have found that during the winter months it has become less effective because of how dry the weather is, I found that mixing it with a few drops of jojoba oil makes it more moisturizing.

I was enticed by the rave reviews on the skincare board and by the seemingly wonderful ingredients in this product. I have dry, rosacea/SD prone skin that usually does not break out. I've tried using this product on two occasions in the evening, and both times woke up to many whiteheads. I changed nothing else in my skincare routine. A few reviewers have mentioned the smell, which does not bother me, but it does linger.

I love this moisturizer. I ordered it after reading about it online. I have dry, sensitive skin that is still acne-prone. This stuff moisturizes me enough even in the winter, and it doesn't clog pores at all. I love the consistency and the smell. I bought the hydrating serum as well because I thought this wouldn't be moisturizing enough, and I use it more than the serum. I will definitely be buying again!

Got this free from SkinStore.com when I purchased the Clarisonic Mia. I just tried it tonight and like it for night time since it goes on a little sticky but becomes smooth after it dries minutes later. I heard it might help with hyperpigmentation so I'm going to stick to using this and the Arcona Serum Booster that came with it until its finished. I'm a beauty product addict and I hop from product to product. So I plan to commit to these until th 2 .5 oz bottles are finished.

I tried this after being recommended by BarbiH. I have SD prone skin and needed hydration that wouldn't make my skin worse. I am so glad I took her advice. I have been using this for a week now am&pm. First thing I noticed that neutralized redness right away. I am quite fair and tend to have a flushed look to my cheeks naturally. This made my skin look much more ....calm.
The product comes in a pump bottle which I like for sanitary reasons. The product is serum like and I will pump out 1.5 pumps per use. I smooth this on, including my eyelids where my SD is the worst. It sinks in within seconds and feels great. I know many have mentioned it's strong smell but I find it reminds me of a wine like smell and goes away quickly and I am not bothered by it at all. Once this dries, it works without the tacky, oily feel which is wonderful for my combo skin.
After a week of use, I have noticed another nice "side effect". Hyperpigmention from healed acne scars seem diminished. I have had no breakouts from this whatsoever. I use this along with Arcona's Berry Fruit Bar which is also terrific. continued >>

My skin is somewhat dry and VERY breakout prone. I have the most difficult time finding light moisture that won't clog my pores. I had high hopes for this, as it worked well the first couple days. However, I seemed to be getting new pimples every day which never cleared up, and my skin always had a pinkish tint which made me realize I react to one of the ingredients. It also feels a little sticky going on and didn't ever really hydrate my skin. Update: After one day of NOT using this, all my pimples and redness cleared up. This was obviously the culprit.

I had high hopes for this product based on the reviews, but every time I use it, I break out with clogged pores and pustules within two days. Plus, it didn't hydrate my skin and the smell is absolutely wretched. It smells like a public restroom sprayed with too much cheap air freshener. And the pump does not work properly. Boo, Magic White Ice. If you don't like this product, try Arcona's Night Breeze instead. That one really soothes and hydrates my skin, and the niacinamide in it helps my acne.

The good: Didn't give me any problems like (acne, ezcema).
The consistency is very nice and when first applied my face feels refreshing.
The Bad: The packaging sucks. The pump does no good. The product either doesn't come out or it squirks all over.
In terms of what it did for my skin. I don't think it did much, so it being an expensive product I don't think its worth it.

UPDATE (12/27/10) Another comment regarding the pumps....I've learned that when I have one that works well, when it's empty, I'll wash and store the dispensing cap for future use in a pump with a wonky top. Still absolutely adore this Magic elixir....booster doses on problem areas is better than any spot or area treatment.
UPDATE (6/05/10) OMGosh, I love this stuff. Just wanted to add a comment about when you get down to the end and the pump stops working well, the top screws off and you can get at the last bit....so no waste.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: After my disappointment with Face Reality's reformulation of their cranberry cream, I googled the ingredients: cranberry extract and totarol and this magical elixir popped up. Just reading the ingredient listing, it seemed like the perfect antimicrobial, antibacterial, antioxidant hydrating gel. I ordered it immediately from beauty.com. As others have said, it sinks in immediately. It doesn't seem very moisturizing at first but over time, my skin does seem more balanced. I love that it also seems to banish any minor pore clogs. I find that using it just once in the AM suits my SD-prone face the best, though I do area treat at night. LOVE Magic White. ***Just one comment on the pump....it's best to pump into a clean palm and then apply with the finger tips of the other hand. It's hard to aim directly onto finger tips....there's always the chance of overshooting onto the counter. ;)***

I was reluctant to try this since I am used to using moisturizers that appear creamy...but I am pleasantly surprised at how effective this has been for my skin. It's a gel cream that seems rather light. My skin is combination, with a tendency to get dry patches AND blackheads at the same time (blurg)...especially during the winter. Despite not feeling heavy enough, it is. It supplies just enough moisture for my face, feels very comfortable, and sinks right in. I have been very happy with most of the Arcona products that I've tried (with the exception of Golden Gommage) from their 'Basic Five' kit for normal skin. This has not broken me out at all. My face actually has had fewer clogged pores since using it. I look forward to trying other Arcona products, especially since they are on the more natural side than most commercially available lines.
