I've been blindly using this product for a couple years, now. I put up with the stinging eyes because I thought that was supposed to happen with kinetin-containing products. I put up with the pilling of the product off my face during some days. I have been having gradually worsening breakouts for the past 5 years, worse in the past 2, and never put it together that it might be one of my products worsening the problem. I just thought I was getting that disgusting adult acne or rosacea or something. After I joined MUA, and read reviews of various products here, I started to suspect the avebenzone has been breaking me out. The suspicion was confirmed when I tried other products with and without avobenzone, and was able to confirm that only products with avobenzone cause me problems.
Whether or not to buy again is a moot point. This product has been discontinued.

On day 1, I liked this moisturizer. On day 2, I got some in my eyes which turned red & teared up. I was pretty uncomfortable for several hours. On the third day, a myriad of tiny whiteheads cropped up all over my chin. Even though they were tiny, they oozed with white goo and there were so many - it was just hideous. I applied 10% BP over the counter cream and they cleared up within a day and a half or so. I haven't had a breakout like that in many many years, my skin has actually been dry lately. Due to comedogenicity, this jar is going straight into the trash. By the way, since I stopped using it, not one little breakout or ounce of redness. I recommend avoiding this product. continued >>

I liked this product, but only when I use a TINY bit of it. It's so rich, it's unbelievable, and only for those with very dry skin in dry climates. I liked both this day cream and the day lotion. Hated the night time version, felt very sticky.

Oh this is really terrible stuff. Reminds me of the first SP15 face creams that came out in the 1980s (uhoh, showing age again) - ie: if it got anywhere near your eyes you suffered for days and even if you didnt put it near your eyes the fumes made it up there anyway. Surely Almay can do better than this: it doesnt sink in (it actually pills) so you cant put foundation over it, it stinks, and it burns. Truly the worst SP15 for face product out there and hey, I'm Australian, I should know, its almost illegal to leave the house these days without wearing screen in this country!

All Almay's kinetin creams and serums(except Kinetin Firming and Pore Refining serum) are not safe, because have many unsafe ingredients.

It is such a shame, because these products actually work and I loved them. But I stopped using them, because I am worried about long term health problems.

This cream is super greasy. It does not sink into your skin and you just feel like a slick factory all day. It smells like sunscreen and was too heavy and just gross for my combo sensitive skin. There are too many products out there with spf 15 in it to waste your money on this one.

This cream is a fairly standard product for me, I will probably finish off the jar but will not repurchase because I prefer a day cream with a matte finish. This one makes my face look oily (easily corrected with some face powder, but I don't always wear powder). Also I don't enjoy the scent, it smells of "unscented" sunscreen. I didn't notice any results with regards to "age deceleration".

This stuff sucked, as well as the night concentrate. My skin is dry, so I thought it would be nice and moisturizing for winter, because the texture is fairly thick. Well, it moisturized, all right! Even the tiniest amount was enough to make me greasy and all the makeup slide off my face w/in hours! And I never ever have that problem. Also, it broke me out in a combination of cystic acne and allergy rash after two weeks of use, and I'm not sensitive or breakout prone. Awful stuff.

Almay Age Decelerating Daily Cream is a fabulous moisturizer. The pricing wasn't incredibly steep, it was on sale for $28 Cdn at Shopper's Drug Mart. Compared to $34 at the body shop for essentialy the same thing, you get more product for your money (60mL vs about 40mL from TBS). Almay kinetin cream left a slight tingle for the first couple of days, but other than that, no serious reactions, which is surprising for such a rich cream. It left my skin smooth and I swear a bit more supple, and it has done wonders for dark spots left from hyper pigmentation from acne, as well as chemical burns from Neutrogena products. The only drawback is that my skin seems a bit more oiler later on in the day, more than normal, but it is easily remedied with some powder. I would recommend this product to almost anyone, and I will be buying it again!
Edit: One of the ingredients listed is willow bark extract. If I remember my chemistry correctly, acetylsalicyclic acid (aspirin) and saliacylic acid (zit product)are both derivitaves from willow bark. I wonder if this has a disinfecting quality for acne prone skin, or does it have another effect?

Sorry, folks but I had the most awful reaction to this - came out in really sore eczema all over my face, virtually instantly. In fact, I tried it on two separate occasions with the same result, just to make sure that this was the culprit (I'm prepared to suffer for science). I found the cream to be somewhat greasy for my combination skin, too, and I don't like jars on hygiene grounds. Don't know what the problem ingredient is - I love the kinetin foundation, so this was a real disappointment.

I am in love with this product. And by gosh, I've tried many! I've tried Avon brands, in which I like creams, not lotions for my face. I like Ultimate Cream and Anew perfecting cream, but this Almay Kinetin, really works well! People must use diff. moisturizer throughout the year, such as in winter, you need more moisture, in summer, less and non oily types. This kinetin is greasy, great for WINTER DRY SKIN, but I probably wouldn't use it in the summer, because it is greasy. It works great for my dry skin now, tho. It is a definite plus to have SPF 15 and is a decent price. I got a five dollar off coupon at Walgreen's! You can find it for under $16.99 or so? Not too bad in price compared Avon brands, or Serious Skin Care or QVC brands. I love it, works well for dry skin, it got rid of my under eye darkness, and reddish skin around my nose, and under eyes, it REALLY Evens out my skin, and I've only been using it like two weeks! I wanna try the eye cream, too! Love it!

I was desperate for a face cream one day. I've never had my own jar/tube of face cream because I would use my mother's more expensive ones. So anyway, I brought a jar of this Almay Kinetin Age Decelerating Daily Cream at Target. I was impressed by the ads that showed a model with absolutely flawless and smooth skin. I am still at a relatively young age and so I don't suffer from wrinkles, but I always think it's better to start now (with skin care) and prevent wrinkles and other signs of aging.
Okay, so the cream was about 16 dollars... relatively cheap for an anti-aging cream. I've used it every day for about 2 months now. I didn't see any results within the first two weeks, but over time, I've noticed an AMAZING and VISIBLE difference in my skin's texture, elasticity, firmness, and coloration. My skin is smooth as a baby's butt, my skintone has been evened out, and my face feels a bit firmer. I used to have chubbyish cheeks, but they have firmed up and my cheekbones are more visible! Yay!
The Kinetin Daily Cream also comes with SPF 15... bonus! The jar actually lasts a long time... I've used it for over 3 months and it's still over half full!
The only complaint I have about this product is that it could be a little oily. For this reason I apply the cream at night. Though, I haven't had any breakouts from the heavy cream.
I love this stuff! I've tried many department store creams but this is well worth the price and the patience!
