This is one of those times that I should have tested the product in natural light, not in department store light. When the makeup artist applied it to my brows and I checked in the mirror, it seemed fine and natural-looking; however the next day (and after having spent about $16 for it) it turns out that instead of getting a medium neutral brown, it's actually a medium reddish brown. It's a good thing I have long bangs or else my brows would appear to be obviously, awfully fake. It doesn't do much to keep stray brow hairs in place, and the gel just kind of sits in between the hairs like a fake brow tattoo. The packaging is nice, however, I would have expected more from a ~$16 product. I'm just either going to finish this or swap it, I guess.

I had high hopes for this product. I should have read the reviews here first. I bought the "medium" color, expecting to get a medium neutral brown, but the gel is actually a peculiar light reddish color, so it doesn't match or darken my brows. My second disappointment was the ridiculous globs of product that come out of the tube. What a waste. I will definitely not be repurchasing this product.

I gave this two lippies for the packaging and the price. The packaging is cute, compact and easy to carry around. I've heard that this is cheap for a Stila product- cost me $16 CAD, but the amount you get isn't so much either. I'm not sure how long it would last if I actually used it because I returned it. But onto the actual product- it's terrible. The brush is way too big for my brows and often picks up too much product on it leaving a dark mess (I got mine in dark). My brows look so incredibly fake when I have this on after I clean up the excess- it's like I have on two Hitler moustaches instead of two eyebrows. Plus it flakes off everywhere and my sparse areas don't stay filled. I guess it might work if I brushed off the excess product with a tissue or something and then applied it very carefully, but who has the time to do that in the morning? This is my first Stila product and I hope other Stila products aren't like this.

I have quite thick brows with long hairs (Asian) so I need a good gel to hold the hairs in place, with some colours to mask the sparseness in some areas. This gel brow set adds a good colour to my dark/black eye brows. I have it in Warm which was recommended to me by the Stila artist and which ilove. It adds a nice natural soft colour to the brows and I actually prefer to have a little bit of colour on the skin between the hairs on my brows. I haven't found the brush to be uncontrollable or a problem at all.

What has been a problem is the packaging. The fit between the wiper system inside the neck of the tube, and the brush isn't tight, so there's always lots of product at the top of the wand (around the threads of the cap) and at the lip of the tube. I am constantly wiping and cleaning the lip of the tube, otherwise I'm sure it would clumps of product and cakiness on the wand.

The product also doesn't control any of my brow hairs or hold them in place. I'm not asking for too much, just that they be held straight in place once brushed and dried with product, but this product fails to do even this. Therefore it's a definite no re-purchase for me. It's a shame as I really like the cute dinky portable tube and dual sided brush.

I was really unhappy with this product. I thought it would be a good alternative to other pricier gels on the market, but the quality is poor. The brush is large and makes it difficult to apply evenly. Also, the product begins to flake after it dries leaving brown pieces around the area - not a good look! I will not be buying this product again.

I use brow polish to darken and fill in my eyebrows, I find it much more natural looking than using a pencil or eyeshadow. Sometimes, when I color my hair and I don't feel like bleaching my brow to match, I get a shade or two lighter than I normally go for and color my brows that way. It does what it's supposed to do and if I run out of this, I'll purchase again.

i have this in dark brown and its okay but i don't like how you have to be careful on how you apply it or you get these stains under your brow. plus alot of it comes out when you open the tube. i had to wipe some off with a tissue because a glob of it came out.

I've been using this for several years now and it's my HG brow product. I have full brows but they are a bit unruly. This adds definition and keeps them in place without looking like my brows are drawn on. My skin is very oily, so brow powders would always end up smeared, but this stays put.

I have this in Dark. My brows are pretty full so I don't need to fill them in with pencils or powders or anything, but they are a little unruly so I'm a big fan of brow gels. I thought this would tame my brows and add a little bit of color to even them out a bit, but instead it just left weird stains on the surrounding skin and made my brows look really unnatural. My hair is almost black and in the store Dark was the best match by far, but even with a very light hand it looked like I'd taken a black Sharpie to my face. No good. From now on I'll just stick to clear gels.

I love this brow polish!!! It does a great job of taming my medium thick brows and keeping them in place all day. They make my brows a little stiff, but wash off very easily. My brows are very dark, almost black and I use Dark, it matches them perfectly. I will continue to get this as long as Stila makes it, which I hope is forever!
update on 9/16/07 - now that I've been using it awhile, I just wanted to add a little. It's weird, but when I apply this, it actually makes my brows look thicker. I think it's the way I brush them, a little down as I follow my arch instead up up, if that makes sense. Anyway, still loving it, it is an awesome product, I wish I hadn't waited so long to buy it!
