I bought this @ Mills Brothers as a stand in for moisturizer, something which alludes my Holy Grail Conquest. It's really expensive, $36.00 CAD for a tiny bottle, of which it's contents you use twice a day. It doesn't seem like it would last long. It states on the back that it is non-greasy, but I don't know, I use less than the prescribed 4-5 drops and I find that it leaves my face with a sickly sheen. It doesn't smell good, but it doesn't smell terrible...a little fishy and somewhat like emu oil. I like the dropper bottle as it is hygienic, obviously. I read the other reviews before I tried it, they mostly spoke of "glowing skin in the morning" I don't know, for me, I woke to that "sandy" feeling in the places that get congested quickly while I washed, and frankly, my skin texture actually looked a little rougher~ definitely a sign of some mild clogged pores. However, I won't write this off yet, I've had it less than a week. I say this because I used some finishing powder the day I went and bought it, and any kind of finishing powder causes tiny clogged pores, ruining my smooth skin sheen I work for so hard. Let's face it, one's skin really only looks just as they ant it 3 days a month. I figure if it looks like a trouble maker nip it in the bud. That goes double for the purge stage of most cleansing systems. I'm not debunking the purge theory, I just think it's a choice you make. You don't have to push on possibly to failure and bad skin because you subscribe to the Purge before The Clear theory. There's a limit to what a purge is and it is not months on end of painful acne. The best method is prevention, so I am always quick to scrutinize and take it back. All that said I will try it for another week, then return it...for store credit :
****Just an Update**** I took this back and because they dont give out refunds I got the Herbal Hydrating Serum which I have been using once a day, and night. I don't know if I really like it, It certainly hasnt WOWED me and I can't take it back now. Its hardly used. Bummer.
***UPDATE*** Meh @ These little squeeze bottles of Mario Badescu promises. Wayne Goss said "If you're oily, you don't need to moisturize, if you're doing all the right things." And he's right. I may use this as an eyegel, because it doesn't cause issues there, but is it all that great? No. In fact it's MOTR at best. Will not buy would not palm off either.

This stuff is really unique. Oddly, this brand doesn't use INCI naming conventions in its ingredient lists, but, in some ways this is good because I was able to learn a great deal about the ingredients from the chemical companies that sell them. The super great ingredient is Biocare HA-24 manufactured by Dow, which they claim gives the consumer a perceptible skin smoothing sensation and lasts through 3 washings. I found this to be very true. After using this daily for a week, my skin feels smooth like butter, it's very noticeable. The active ingredients are somewhat novel moisturizers and anti-wrinkle agents. I'm not sure why the claim made is skin evening, which I assume refers to tone. In reference to texture, the claim is very accurate. If I could get ahold of the ingredients and make this for a more reasonable price I would use it all over my body. It really is a spectacular moisturizer and the skin feel is truly great.
It's hard to see where this fits into an existing skincare regimen but I just put it on first, before my regular moisturizer. The instructions refer to "drops" but the product is not a liquid, it's a medium thick silicone-based lotion. I use about a pea sized amount for the face and neck. I also use it around the eyes and on the lips.
This is fairly cheap at $30/oz. I wish it was cheaper, but it could easily be worse. I appreciate the sensible no frills packaging, a plastic squeeze bottle that keeps air out and keeps the product sanitary.
With regard to the fishy smell, I had none of that so they must have been old bottles or a bad batch. Mine has no smell at all, which I love because fragrance irritates my skin. I got my bottle at Naimie's in Los Angeles, fwiw.
As far as the ingredients list goes, it's fun to see the trade names of the mixtures that chemical companies create, but it also violates FDA regulations. I'm not sure how Mario Badescu is getting away with this and it makes me somewhat nervous about their attention to other details like manufacturing. I feel like I can't trust this company because it isn't being honest about its ingredients. This is a great product and I will repurchase, but it would be reassuring if Mario Badescu would follow INCI naming conventions.
Here they are as listed with translations:
H.S.C. Complex - Cyclopentasiloxane, Cyclotetrasiloxane, Dimethiconol, Dimethicone, Ethylhexyl Cocoate, Phenyl Trimethicone, Lecithin, Glycolipids
Biocare HA24 - Polyquaternium-24 and Hyaluronic Acid
Filagrinol - ? moisturizing agent
Urea - moisturizer
AHA - I assume this means alpha hydroxy acid, but which one is a complete mystery, maybe a blend
Pentavitin - Saccharide Isomerate
Dermonectin - an oligopeptide

I put this on after night time cleansing before I put on a moisturizer. I think it works amazingly. I wake up with very even, calm, brighter looking skin. It's a big change just overnight. Mostly the way it evens out the skin tone is the most amazing part. I highly recommend it. ps mine doesn't smell weird at all. in fact, i haven't noticed any smell.

I bought this from a small cosmetics store and like another reviewer said, it must have been sitting on a shelf for a long time because mine smelled fishy too. However it works great at evening skintone! When I put it on at night, I wake to glowing skin. I have this uneven texture under my eyes where the skin is thin, like a little patch of tiny bumps...I put this on them and they were practically gone! It's really nice stuff and I'd love to know how well a fresh bottle works, but at the cost for so little, I probably won't get it again.

I just bought this product today and I immediately see a difference in my skin; it's definitely calmed down a lot, and it looks a lot more even toned. But I don't like the smell--it sort of smells like fish to me. I don't know why. The other bottles in the store also smelled like that. But it's the best serum I've used on my face so far.
-------Okay, it's been about a week now and I have to say that for my skin type, it seems to be opening my pores--they look bigger. So I'm not going to be purchasing this again. Sigh.
---another update---I received a sample of this CCE with another purchase and it DOES NOT SMELL LIKE FISH. So the product I bought at a department store was not "fresh"; so I will report back to you within a week of using this other product.

A milky serum used to lessen acne scars and hyperpigmentation, basically even out skintone. I use it sporadically (when I remember) after cleansing and before moisturising, and I have to say that I have noticed a definite improvement in my skintone - it's more even and bright. I like the squeeze bottle, too - hygenic - but I can foresee some difficulties squeezing the product out when it runs low! $30 for a tiny bottle.
