I thought this scent was nice at first but now it seems strange. It doesn't particularly smell like any one thing, but it isn't really pleasant. And for the price, it had better smell amazing! It doesn't moisturize all that well either. I'm not impressed/ =(

I absolutely love Philosophy's body lotions and this is no exception. I adore the fact that they aren't heavily scented. It's only fitting that they carry the clean, lightness of their eau de toillettes and eau de parfums into their lotions. When you put this on you just get a whisper of the blackberry and vanilla scent. It isn't interfering, nor is it cloying. The texture is light but not runny at all. I detest runniness in lotions! It moisturizes lightly also, so this as well as Philosophy's other lotions are best suited for summertime use. Unless you layer this over something richer, this may not suit a dry skin type. I'm a huge admirer of the packaging. The fact that all of their bottles are clear is excellent. I really like knowing exactly how much product I have left. Also, the simplicity of it and the inspiring message is so aesthetically pleasing. This just looks great in your bathroom or wherever you happen to keep your lotion. This one is lovely. I'm a devout Pure Grace user, but I think Falling in Love is a nice, flirty alternative for days when it might be more appropriate to switch things up a bit.

I purchased this fragrance Falling in Love Body Lotion and if you want something that lasts and smells good DON'T get this. I don't even know how the name "Falling in Love" was given to this fragrance. I only use it when I am out of anything else I might have but once it is gone it is gone. I think Philosophy lotions are over-priced and no better than Bath and Body Works! I am still on a search for a quality body lotion. I have no idea what attracts people to Philosophy products other than their marketing tactics. Ugh!

I love this lotion! It is silkey, moisturizing, and leaves my skin nice and dewey. It's the nicest smelling blackberry musk on the market. It complements both the light floral and heavy oriental perfumes I love. I prefer it in the cooler months now that I have Unconditional Love for summer.

Well, I'd finished up using my Philosophy Pure Grace lotion and was planning on moving on to Amazing Grace, which I had been wanting to try forever. At Nordstrom, my boyfriend didn't like the smell of AG, but really liked Falling in Love. So I bought that one.
Pros: Great packaging, wonderful blackberry/vanilla fragrance, sublime texture. This is a truly luxurious feeling lotion. Fairly moisturizing, too. I live in a dry mountain climate, and it works just great.
Cons: The fragrance doesn't last. At all. So that blows it for me. I wear scented lotions because I don't like to wear perfume. But it just doesn't last on me. Wonderful other than that.

This is an amazing scent. It's cotton candy with a floral note, not too strong, not too sweet. Would work for a teen as well as an adult, during the day or at night. LOVE it! This lotion is great like the rest of the Philosophy lotions- goes on smooth, never sticky, moisturizes all day. Be warned, though, when you smell this in the bottle and even when you first apply it it does smell plastic-y! I thought the same thing when I got it- Oh, man, that stinks! But when it dries down it's the wonderful Falling in Love fragrance, I promise. I wish it wasn't so expensive... $34 is a bit much for a lotion, but it's so perfect to layer the fragrance or to wear on it's own.

i love this scent. i have the lotion and i had the soap but i used it all. haha. anyway it's no too overpowering but it's just enough to tell that you've got something on. i have a really sensitive nose... so if i can smell something really strong on myself all day it makes me really queasy. so instead of using perfumes i used subtle scented lotions and soaps. i really like this one. && my boyfriend likes it on me as well. wink wink. continued >>

I love the Falling in Love fragrance, I just wish it had more staying power. I purchased the lotion bc I wanted to layer the wash, lotion, and perfume. I notice the fragrance lasts a little longer than before, but still seems to fade by midday. But I will definitely buy this again bc I just love the scent so much

Love this lotion because it smells sweeter than the fragrance! It does a superior job of moisturizing my skin, and the scent lasts. Will buy again!

This smells heavenly Very light, kind of hard to describe, but it just smells good. However, at $34, it's not cheap, and the scent doesn't last all day. On top of that, it smells EXACTLY like black raspberry vanilla from bath & body works, I mean like, exact. And you can get a big bottle at bbw for $10, and get a better quality lotion. Oh well, it's a good size bottle and I'm sure it will last awhile but I don't think I'll be crazy enough to buy it again. I will, however, try the perfume. continued >>

Honestly, I bought this because I was given a sample from Sephora two christmas ago. I ADORED the fragrance when I used it (sparingly, mind you; I didnt want to run out). I finally decided that I wanted to go buy the bottle, and I forked out an unholy amount of money at Nordstroms.... I have to say... I think they reformulated their lotion since the sample I was given. I hate it. I have a huge bottle of lotion that doesnt seem to moisturize at all. I've finally given into mixing it with pure shea butter to get any kind of use out of it, which seems only to be the fragrance.
For my money, I'll stick to the drugstore brands.

Very emollient. I put this on after a shower before bed and wake up to soft skin and a beautiful, warm, feminely scented skin. It really is a beautiful fragrance.

I love this as much as I love the body wash and fragrance spray, which is a lot (although I have issues with the spray, see review on that for details). The lotion soaks in quickly and the scent lingers but isn't overpowering, sweet but not cloying. I have the shimmer lotion also, which is nice for evenings out. I'll repurchase when I run out, along with the body wash since they go together well for layering purposes.

Smells like a nursing home. Gets a rating of 2 because the consistency is nice, creamy, and moisturizing. The smell is strong, lingering, and yucky.

I recently stumbled across the Falling in Love fragrance, and I love it, so today at Sephora I tried the lotion. The texture and consistency are very nice--absorbs quickly, not too thick or too thin--but when I smelled it my first thought was, "Ick, plastic!" I should have given it a little time to dry down, because by the time I'd left the mall the plastic-y note had disappeared, leaving my beloved Falling in Love fragrance behind. That was hours ago, and I can still smell it. I guess I'm going to have to head back to Sephora and pick up a bottle.

I hated this. I love the falling in love fragrance, but this had a plastic synthetic smell to it. Awful!!!

Fell in love with the Falling in Love lotion, with its berry/candy/flower fragrance. The lotion lasts ALL day on me, even giving a nice light scent to my sleeves. Have tried the souffle, spray, and body wash -- they all ended up smelling different than the lotion! This stays true to its initial scent. If you like the other versions, this may or may not be what you are looking for - it's somehow not the same. Lotion is slightly more moisturizing than drugstore body lotions; way more than the souffle.

I'm pretty sure Philosophy uses the same base formula for all its perfumed body lotions, so this is about like the AG one, except scented with yummy Falling in Love (and they don't call it firming...not that the Amazing Grace lotion really firmed either). It's high quality lotion indeed...a little goes a long way, and it gives a really good shea-butter-filled smoothing, plus some vitamins. I love the totally unbreakable, travel-friendly packaging, and the sweet, heavenly, feel-good blackberry scent of FIL. However, like with all fragranced philosophy products, the scent of this one doesn't last more than an hour. If you layer aggressively you can get some more mileage with the smell, but you will still probably have to re-spritz midday. Oh...and this is quite expensive, but a nice little luxury that treats you and those who smell you :).

Mmm, I love the scent of this stuff! I know this is a fairly popular scent, but I never took the initiative to check it out for myself until Sephora included a deluxe bottle with an order. I am completely terrible at describing scents but it smells like some fruity berries cut with creamy vanilla or something along those lines. It’s not nauseatingly sweet smelling so I can totally appreciate it. The lotion itself isn’t superbly great, but it gets the job done. I may actually pick up the Falling in Love perfume one of these days once I run out of my other scents.
