Ok, I admit, this one is a little powdery, but I Don't care! I've hit the pan on it. It's the color of sand, kind of shimmery beige. It doesn't lean too heavily yellow, peach or pink. I reach for it constantly. Now, if anyone out there knows of a match to this one with better texture, please point me to it, but in the meantime I'll buy it again.

NYX is a pain in the bum to get hold of in the UK so this ended up being an eBay purchase but I'm glad I made the effort.
This is one of a selection of eyeshadows I have that are easy to slap on with a bit of mascara when I'm running late for work (which is always!) as I don't have to worry about it's longevity or creasing and the colour complements my green eyes.
For the price, it's brilliant and I will definitely be picking up more NYX shadows soon!

This is quickly becoming one of my all time favorite eye shadow's! This is exactly what I wanted MAC's 'all that glitters' to be. Sahara is a a beautiful light golden champagne. Sahara looks amazing with a base/primer and some mascara, When I wear it I look so awake and its so natural! This color is also very universal.. It would look good on many skintones and can be worn with almost any crease color! I love this color very much and I strongly recommend it!

Threw it away. The shine had an unattractive grittiness to it. I tried really hard to use this for about 3 months and finally decided that it just looked bad. What made me give up was I got a free shadow from Sally B and it worked great. Perfectly shimmery and lovely with no harshness to the glitter. Chalky is not quite the right word. It looks harsh and I think the glitter is chunky. Just doesn't look right. Femme Couture was the Sally B brand, great baked shadows. Try that instead. A couple dollars more, but worth it.

After watching a few videos on YouTube, I wanted to purchase MAC's Ricepaper but MAC's eyeshadows are too expensive so I managed to find a dupe and purchased NYX's Sahara. The only difference between both products is that Sahara is more shimmery. What I like about this shadow is that it gives that perfect wash of color on the lid. This could also be used as a highlight for the browbone or inner corners. I also hear that this is a dupe for MAC's Naked Lunch so I think this is a great shade to check out. But, I do have a con. This was my first NYX single eyeshadow and when I got home from Ulta, it cracked so badly I only have half of the eyeshadow now. I didn't want to deal with the hassle of exchanging it. After that experience, I was skeptical if I should ever purchase another one of these shadows but I definitely will. Sometimes you just get the dud. I will definitely repurchase this soon since it will be twice as faster since I only have half of the shadow.

I absolutely love this shadow. It is very light and nice to wear if you just want something nice to brighten your eyes. I have very fair skin and it almost looks natural. :) Much love for this product. Will be repurchasing as I need it.

Not only would I buy this again, I HAVE bought this again! This was "Baby's First NYX shadow"! This looks like a mix between MAC Shroom and Ricepaper - it is frosty, but not shimmery, glittery, or messy. It blends like a dream. I sometimes apply this as my only shadow of the day, just a pop on my lids to brighen my eyes when I don't feel like doing a lot, or don't have a lot of time to do my eyes. This also looks great as a highlighter shade, or a tear duct color. Everyone should have this shadow! A tip - I also like to mix this with MAC Blanc Type or WnW Brulee to just add a hint of something to an otherwise kind of plain shadow.

Great shadow. I pair it with NYX Rust and it makes an amazing combo. I love how it brightens- seems metallic but not adding much color of gold making it versatile to use with lots of different colors. Very silky and blendable with a satin finish that seems to make the creases on the lid look better. It can be subtle or dramatic- just very versatile and lovely. A must have.

Love! I purchased this because I was tired of paying an absurd amount for MAC's "Ricepaper" eyeshadow, and read that Sahara is a good dupe. While Sahara is more sheer and far more shimmery than Ricepaper, they are definitely comparable. Both make wonderful base and/or highlight colors for the lid. Highly recommend!

This is a beautiful shade, almost exactly the color of sand. I like it for light makeup days. It brightens up my eyelids and makes me look refreshed and awake. Plus the finish on it is so nice...it has a very subtle "shine" to it....looks very polished. I did mark down a bit for the packaging...every now and then, the window will fall out of one of the single shadow pans. Maybe NYX will fix this issue someday. I'm happy I purchased this shadow and would purchase it again if I ever ran out.

i dont know why people compare these shadows to MAC. I don't see any comparison at all. These are chalky and it will give you lots of fall outs.

I love this shadow! It is appropriately named Sahara because it is a light sand color, which makes for a perfect all-over shadow. I love this as a highlighter and also when I want to just wear eyeliner, but I don't want naked lids. The consistency of this shadow is very soft and pigmented. As the previous reviewer said, this is better than MAC and comparable to UD. I'm so glad I found NYX shadows....I'll be buying more in the future!

I own a ton of MAC, Bobbi Brown, Too Faced, Laura Mercier and Urban Decay shadows and this cheapie Nyx shadow in Sahara is still THE BEST most opaque neutral silky shimmery beige I've found. Softer and more pigmented then any MAC shadow and comparable to UD.
Love it for all over the lid!
Edit: I used to have it in the pot version and now got it in a trio and I don't think it's the same... the one that's part of the trio does not seem as pigmented and creamy

I hit pan on this and just bought a new one today. They changed the formula from the old one, it's just ever so slightly lighter, and has a bit more shimmer. Don't get me wrong i still loooovee this shadow as an every day lid color, the extra shimmer in it has a satin finish, not glittery. So it still gets a lovely 5 lippies from me.

I LOOOVE this shadow. It's a sheer cream color with the slightest yellow undertone that blends perfectly with medium-toned skin and has a sophisticated shimmer, making it beautiful for night looks but subtle enough to be able to wear in professional situations or for older women who prefer toned-down colors and non-obnoxious shimmer. It is one of the more versatile shadows you could own, as it can be used on the inner corners to pop the eyes, as a highlight on the brow (for those who like subtle shimmer up there without it being ultra reflective or obnoxious), as a shadow to mute other shadows or make them shimmery, or as simply a beautiful eyeshadow to use on the lids. It is PERFECT for olive-toned skin, and any warm skin tone, for that matter, but might look a little too warm or yellowy on very fair or cool-toned skin. It goes on smooth and blends like a dream. I love using this shadow on my lids on top of a neutral matte shade that I like, as it adds the finest shimmer and kicks up the sophistication a notch... makes for a well-put-together look! In summary, it's the bomb for it's color, texture, practicality, and therefore also it's price. Have already repurchased. :)

Love this! I'm a total newbie to e/s so I started off small, and this is a basic I don't regret getting. Can't say more than what's already been said about the great, silky texture, not-overwhelming sheen and pretty, unique color that's perfect for highlighting. I intend to use it for a neutral eye, which is the only look I will wear. I've only had it a few days and used it every day on both me and my boyfriend's mother and it already has lost some of the quilting on top-- it's really soft and you don't need to press your brush hard into this to get a lot of product. I think from now on I'll just lightly brush over the top and apply thin layers till I get the look I want. It doesn't last too too long-- if I really cared about looking madeup all the time I'd reapply it during the day. I apply it over a layer of concealer. I don't use any other primer so that might be why it doesn't last. For a cheapie e/s I'm very satisfied and will continue to purchase this as my highlighting color.

Really nice color payoff for such an inexpensive eyeshadow. (Not all NYX shadows have a smooth application.) The color is really versatile. I wish they carried this in the south!

Pretty, pretty, pretty highlight color! It's probably all been said before, but Sahara is very pigmented and blendable. I'm fair (neutral to yellow undertone) with blue eyes, and I really love this for a subtle, glowy browbone. When I'm doing a natural look, pearly whites look too harsh (and juvenile) and champagnes tend to show up orange-y. Just my personal preference, but I rarely use matte colors on my browbone, even though that would probably be the most subtle looking. This is just perfect for those natural days.
