I love this lipstick! It's incredibly versatile - wear as a stain (lightly or more intensely) or apply straight from the tube for a wearable bold fuchsia lip. In warmer weather, I have noticed a tiny bit of migration in terms of feathering/bleeding, but a clear lip liner should do the trick. As a stain, it seems to stay put really well.

This is a great wearable fuchsia. I tried this and Schiap the same day. Schiap is more matte and dramatic (great for a night out) whereas Funny Face is slightly dewier and elegant enough to wear to work. I also found Funny Face to be more comfortable on the lips. I ended up taking Schiap home with me because I was looking for more drama and I have a color similar to funny face in my lipstick collection already. However, when that's gone Funny Face will most certainly be mine.

I absolutely adore this color! It's such a nice vibrant berry with a little touch of pink when the light hits it in certain areas. It works well for my skin tone (NC35-40) and my moms, who is waaay lighter then me. It finishes to a matte and stays on pretty well. Endured drinking & eating. Most matte formulas really emphasize any flakes and dry patches, but this doesn't do that at all. Will repurchase when it runs out (& swallow the hefty price tag) continued >>

This product contains an awful high level of lead. It has ranked as one of the top 10 lipsticks to contain lead. Other lipsticks that contain lead (not as much as NARS Funny Face) include both aren't limited to MAC Show Orchid, Bombshell, Angel, Viva Glam I and II, and lots more. To see a complete list, go to:http://www.smh.com.au/lifestyle/beauty/top-lipstick-brands-carry-highest-lead-levels-20120215-1t4t4.html

I'm an NW30, and I typically shy away from blue-based reds or pinks in favor of orange-reds, etc.. That said, Funny Face actually looks fantastic on my skin tone, so other NW30s out there, this might look good on you too! I know some reviews say that there's a hint of blue duochrome, but I don't see that on me at all. It's very much a true fuschia. It is more pink than purple, which is probably why it works better with my yellow undertones. This is a semi-matte, and while it isn't moisturizing, I don't feel like it robs my lips of moisture. I can barely feel it when it's on my lips, which is a huge plus in my book. Funny Face does stain your lips a bit, but it can be a good thing when your lipstick is wearing off. It lasts a good long while for me (at least 4 hours), and it doesn't make my lips peel at all! Definitely one of my favorite lipsticks.

As others have stated this lipstick is a fushia with blue undertones. It's a matte finish, so it stays in place fore quite some time. I love the packaging ever since I accidentally forgot this lipstick in my car, cause it didn't melt in 105+ degree weather.

I love Nars packaging it's small cute and sexy.
Anywho on my medium fair neutral leaning on cool skin with yellow undertones this lipstick looks almost as good as my HG Ruby Woo. I'd describe this as the perfect fuchsia with blue undertones. Look like a deep magenta on me. It's lovely. I think it would suit dark skin tones even better even though it's a cool tone. But it also goes well with light skin tones.
It's a bit drying cuz it's semi matte. But a little lip balm under it will solve that problem. Pretty long lasting. As long as you don't eat anything greasy ur good.
Now I have to find a lipliner that goes with it.
I'd def repurchase
btw mine is the second pic up there. looks pretty true to color. Also this lipstick look exactly and in all aspects is exactly like MAC's Show Orchid

I love this lipstick! It is bold yet so wearable and looks great on lots of skin tones! I'm super fair (nc10ish) and my best friend is about a nw25 and it looks great on us both. I dab it over chapstick for a pretty stained look and apply it with a lip brush/ straight from the tube for a fun bold lip!

The crazy thing about this lipstick is that though it's bold, it's somehow very wearable as well (for a large range of complexions too). The shade is a bright yet deep blue-based fuchsia that is similar to MAC's 'Girl About Town', but less to be less less pink. The finish is matte yet creamy. This is really one of the most beautiful fuchsia lipsticks that I have ever happened upon. After tiring of my usual red or pinkish brown lipsticks, I searched high and low for the perfect fuchsia, so I naturally couldn't pass this up when I noticed it in Sephora.

I used to be so biased towards MAC lipsticks, but there really are so many good lipsticks outside of the MAC world. Actually, quality-wise I find NARS lipsticks to be a bit better than MAC (though pricier). I love how smoothly NARS lipsticks glide onto the lips and they are HIGHLY pigmented. 'Funny Face' in particular leaves a gorgeous just-ate-a-popsicle stain on your lips even after the initial color fades away (which takes forever since NARS lipsticks are so long-wearing). NARS lipsticks are not moisturizing (but what lipstick really is? If you want moisture, go for a balm), but they are not drying either. Even after several hours of wear my lips remain comfortable and flake-free. I also love how these lipsticks really stay in place. Of course any lipstick will smudge and transfer a bit during eating and drinking, but it's minimal when compared to other lipsticks, and feathering is literally non existent.

The only downfall about NARS lipsticks is that for the price ($30 CAD!) you seem to get very little product when compared to other brands. I don't really mind though since I have to use so little for full color payoff, and since this is not an everyday lipstick for me, it will last years.

I love this shade and will definitely purchase again (along with other NARS lipsticks).

Funny Face is the best lipstick I have ever owned. It's a raspberry-fuchsia with a hint of blue pearl and a creamy matte texture. It applies easily without any noticeable scent, then lasts impressively well. The color is somehow both soft and dramatic. It's incredibly flattering, fun, and amazing quality. Highly recommended.

I was browsing the Sephora website when I saw the shade name. I could have found a dupe, but I am a huge Audrey Hepburn fan and if there was a colour called 'Funny Face' I had to have it. I was a little unsure on how the colour would go over. I normally avoid pinks in lipstick, and stick to nudes and corals. Pink generally brings out any imperfections in my skin tone, or makes me look sallow. This pink, however. Magical. It's bright, but sophisticated, and it makes my skin look bright and smooth. It is a little drying, but it stays on pretty well, so it can be forgiven. Definitely one of my new favorite lipsticks.
My only complaint is the price. I live in Canada, and it cost me $30. My other favorite lipstick is NYC Ultra Moist in Cafe, which I can get for $1.99, so it pained me to spend that much money on it.

This is a lovely color, its very wearable for everyday looks
I am dark (NC50) and the color looks beautiful against my skin tone, totally wearable, no need for a lip liner or anything. Frankly this lip color would flatter all skin tones, imo
I like the matte formula, it glides on your lips, the only down side to this lipstick is that you really need to treat your lips to some intensive care moisturizing before putting this lipstick on, otherwise it settles into all lines on your lips, and creates the illusion of cracked lips without proper moisturizing
Even with proper conditioner treatment to your lips, it like this lipstick is hungry for moisture it seems like it sucks up any moisture in your lips and makes them look dry.
Anyway, aside from that, this is a great color, really nice packaging and of the other downside is the price, very expensive for this lipstick and it doesn't seem like you receive much product for the price
So because of that I will be trying to find a much less expensive and much less drying lipstick dupe for Nars Funny Face.

I never would have been drawn to this color, but it came in the Beautiful Life Lip and Cheek palette, so I tried it. It's actually really lovely! It's a cool-toned fuchsia, and it looks great with the right makeup.

For me, it is an evening out shade -- not really a good daytime or work-appropriate color with my complexion (NW5-10; NARS Siberia), but lovely all the same.

I love this color! I never thought fuchsia would look good on me but it does. I also really love the formula, it's matte but doesn't emphasize any dry spots your lips may have.

I returned MAC's Girl About Town and got this instead. More expensive, but I like that it is more toned-down that GAT yet still bright and berry. I also like that it's more matte.

Okay so I've been searching for monthssssss for the perfect deep fuchsia lipstick for me (NC40). Some purchases I've made were either too bright, too red, too purple, etc. Some of the reviews on here for funny face made me a little hesitant but upon going into sephora to purchase some eyeshadow, I decided what the heck, and tried out funny face....WOW! It worked perfectly for me & it was exactly what I was looking for! I'm not a huge fan of glossy lipsticks & this one eventually mattes out after a few minutes of wear. This is exactly what I was looking for, but I guess everyone is different but if you're thinking of trying it out, don't hesitate! go for it! continued >>

I'm smitten with this product. Candy color, very pigmented and wonderful! I bet it's even prettier in sunny climates (I miss the sun here in Sweden right now). I find the smaller lipstick case practical. You can't go wrong with this color.
